Harry made his way early to dinner. He was still overly confused about everything, and he couldn't wait for the night to roll around.
"Where have you been all day? It seems like you've been in your dormitory since your free period. " Ron complained as he took a seat with Hermione and Ron.
"That's where I've been. " Harry said simply. It was true, though. He had been in his dormitory all day, clueless that Draco had seen the kiss between he and Pansy in the hallway. As the three of them took a seat, Harry looked at his friends, and quickly hissed in a whisper, "Pansy kissed me. "
Ron nearly choked on the food that he was stuffing in his house. Hermione's mouth fell open and she looked over at Harry.
"Kissed? She kis-" Ron went to say, but Hermione smacked his arm from blurting it too loud.
"I didn't even know she was going to do it! She gave me a letter to meet her there, and suddenly, she just.. Kissed me. On the spot. No one saw, but - " Harry went to say, but was cut off as his friends bombarded him with questions.
"Do you like her back?" Hermione asked.
"Do you think she's pretty?" Hermione asked again.
"Do you like her back? " Ron repeated Hermione's question.
"GUYS. Guys, quiet. No. She's ugly, and I don't like her back. I don't know why, it was a really uncomfortable kiss too. " Harry said, shuddering at the memory.
"Oh, " Hermione said disappointedly, "I was going to ask for all the juicy information. " she teased with a smile.
Ron and Hermione began to chatter about different things now. This time, his gaze flickered over to the Slytherin table. His eyes easily avoided Pansy, and landed straight on Draco. Draco wouldn't look at him. It was almost like Harry wasn't there.
Looking away, Harry simply shook his head and looked down at his plate. He was glad dinner was going to be over within the hour. He needed to speak to Draco at this point.
After dinner, Harry said goodnight to his friends and made his way towards the Library.
Except, on his way, Pansy erupted from the shadows by the corridor just turning the hall.
"Do you ever leave me alone?" Harry snapped at her, going to brush past her but she slid in front of him.
"Come on, Harry, don't be so reluctant. " She said with a small smile, letting her fingers trail up his shoulder. Harry pushed away.
At this moment, Draco turned from the hall but kept himself hidden.
"Stay away from me. I don't know why you gave me that stupid letter to meet you in the hall, or why you kissed me, but it was bloody disgusting. Go find someone else to seduce. I can't waste my time with someone like you. " Harry snapped and walked straight into the library.
Pansy scoffed and went to walk down the hall, but stopped when she saw Draco. Her mouth hung open slightly, and she backed up. "Uh - Erh, Draco.. Draco, I swear.. Hi.. Uhm, the kiss-.. Uhm-"
"Shut it. I don't know why I ever trusted you. " Draco said, and went straight into the library without another word.
As Draco entered, he smiled to see Harry rubbing his temples. Probably from the pain Pansy caused him.
Then, Draco had probably the most mischievous idea. Slipping behind Harry without him noticing, he let his hands wrap around Harry's chest comfortingly.
Harry tensed back and looked up, his face red. Though he seemed to relax after a second, "I thought you were Pansy.. " Harry mumbled, but finally realized what Draco was doing. "Uhm.. Uh, Draco, c - can I..-" Harry went to say, but his words weren't coming out exactly English.
"Can you what? " Draco asked with a small smirk, placing his head on Harry's shoulder. "Can you what, Harry?" He asked, whispering it lovingly into Harry's ear.
Harry shuddered slightly, his face still a vibrant pink. His mind began to grow cloudy, too. He knew why he was there, to ask Draco questions. But he really couldn't think straight.
Then he remembered what Pansy said. Draco had begun to talk to her again, so Harry didn't have to be friends with Draco anymore. But.. Was Harry actually having fun with Draco? He was broken by his thoughts as Draco began to lightly brush his bottom lip across his cheek. " D - Draco, what're you doing?" Harry murmured, still tensed up in Draco's arms.
"Just relax, Harry. You did want to meet in the library.. No?" Draco asked.
Harry immediately pushed Draco away from him and stood up. "I - uh'm.. I don't -" Harry went to say, "I should go, sorry I bothered.. " he said and went to turn, but he felt Draco grab him by the arm and hoist him into an empty library isle.
"No. You said you wanted me here. Then what is it?" Draco asked and narrowed his eyes.
Harry opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He now felt his eyes lock with Draco's. God, those eyes. Those misty and silvery eyes..
"Like what you see, Potter?" Draco asked and narrowed his eyebrows with a smirk. Of course he was playing, but it all seemed real.
"Uh- uhm, what'd you mean?" Harry asked, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"Nothing. " Draco murmured and took a step closer to Harry. Harry didn't know what Draco was doing, but surprisingly, neither did Draco. Draco went to lean in, and so did Harry. But Harry panicked and back away, accidentally smacking Draco with the back of his hand when he did so.
"I - uhm, y- wh- sorry, I-" Harry went to say, but Draco simply held a hand up to hush him whole his other one rubbed the side Harry accidentally hit.
"Yeah, whatever. Forget it, sorry I even tried. " Draco murmured, and Harry bit his lip.
Harry's mind then turned into a cloud again. Did Draco just try and kiss Harry? Did Harry lean in? No he couldn't of.. He.. Okay.. Maybe he did a little bit. But this is Draco Malfoy.. He would never kiss him. That's why he backed away, right?
"Draco, I really didn't mean to -"
"It's fine," He said calmly again and sighed, dropping his hand back by his side.
"Did.. Did you try and kiss me?" Harry asked, his face turning red again. And that's when Draco froze.
"I-.. Maybe.. Maybe -.. Yes.. Yes, I did. " Draco said, eyeing Harry suspiciously.
Harry felt goosebumps grow all over his body. "You.. You did?" Harry asked. He was rather surprised, but then again, something inside his mind made him feel like he was expecting it.
Draco just looked down at his feet and he his lip. But that's when Harry took a step forward, and soon felt his lips press delicately against Draco's.
Harry was just as surprised as himself as Draco was. But.. At the same time.. It all felt so right.
As they departed their lips from the kiss, the both of them began to very awkwardly cough.
"I- "
"I should go-"
"Me too, I have to - "
"Yeah, me too-"
"Hermione is probably-"
"Yeah, Crabbe's is definitely-."
The two boys just nodded and turned their ways, Harry rushing out of the library first.
He couldn't tell anyone about this. Not Hermione. Not Ron, not Dumbledore..
Why would he even tell the headmaster? The headmaster wouldn't care about his social life.
But maybe that's what he needed. To talk to the head master. Not about Draco of course. About Slughorn. Over the days Dumbledore asked him to connect with the Professor, and that's exactly what he needed to do.

Draco made his way back to his dorm with a smile on his face, but stopped outside the stairs to the dungeons when an owl came flying right over him, dropping a folded parchment in his hands. Draco's thoughts immediately smiled when he knew it was his mother's letter, and he rushed down the stairs into his dormitories, slamming the door and not really caring if his roommates were awake or not.
Except, when he opened the letter, his face fell into a frown.
Reading it over, Draco's mouth fell open.
Dear Draco,
Potter, is it? What a foul creature to fall for. Next time, be careful what you write. I'll look forward to having a conversation with you about this when I see you over Christmas.
- Lucius
Draco's heart sank, and he ripped the letter angrily in half.
"Go to bed, Draco." Blaise snapped. Draco glared at him and turned off his lamp, pulling his curtains over his four poster and laying down in bed.
Of all people, his father was the one to find the stupid note. Lord, was he in so much trouble now.. Maybe he could stay at Hogwarts over vacation. Maybe he could.. Maybe..
"Draco, go to bed. " Goyle snapped now.
Draco just realized he was sobbing now, and he immediately wiped away the tears. God, he felt pathetic.

"Has he spoken to you about anything?" Dumbledore asked calmly, stroking his silver beard.
Harry had gone up to talk to the headmaster late at night. He knew Dumbledore stayed up late enough to talk personally.
"No, sir, nothing yet. Are you sure this is going to work? Asking him exactly what Tom Riddle asked him all this years ago?" Harry asked and tilted his head.
"We never know, Harry. We can always hope for the best. " Dumbledore said, "I suggest you head off to bed."
"Of course.. " Harry said and went to turn, but stopped. "Uh- Headmaster, sir.. Is it possible for Amortentia potions to be.. Incorrect?" Harry asked.
"Oh, Harry. Of course they can. But they wouldn't smell like anything. I assure you, if you smell anything within the Amortentia potion, well.. It's real, Harry."
