"Harry, I've told you, it's too late to work on a project now. It's a highly advanced potion. You should of began working on it earlier. " Hermione complained to Harry, following him as Harry searched through books to look for. Certain ones would help them with the potion they were doing, even if he did have all the corrections and solutions.

"Quiet, Hermione. Go complete your own homework. It's getting later and the time is ticking. Go complete it, I have to work on the project soon. " Harry said.

Hermione slightly bit her lip and sighed to herself, nodding. "Fine. But you better not stay up late, Harry."

"You aren't my mother. " Harry muttered back.

Hermione just sighed again, crossing her arms. "I'll see you later. " she finally said, and turned on her heel to walk out of the library.

Harry sighed and shook his head, using both his hands to run through his hair but stop half way, gripping it tightly and rather annoyed. Letting go of his thick hair, he set up the cauldron and everything that they needed, hearing the large library doors swing open, followed by receding footsteps. Harry turned around to see Draco making his way down the isle.

"I'm surprised you actually showed up. " Harry said, narrowing his eyes at the blonde.

"Oh, just shut it. Let's get this over with. I'm not looking forward to this at all. " Draco murmured, scratching his head a bit before taking a seat at the table.

"Whatever. Put the sloths brain in, and we'll continue. " Harry muttered, taking a seat next to Draco in one of the wooden chairs.

At the same time, the both of them reached the container with the sloths brain, and their hands touched. Harry's hand underneath Draco's, he awkwardly pulled it away. "S - sorry.. " Harry murmured.

Draco didn't say anything to it, surprisingly. Opening the brain, he plopped it into the potion. The cauldron made a weird wheezing sound.

"Now the saber tooth claw. " Harry said, reaching over to grab the container of claws.

"Stir it, " Draco finally said, biting his lip. Harry grabbed the large wooden spoon and stirred for a bit until it turned a sickly greenish color, "And now we wait ten minutes. " he commented again.

"Surprised you actually remember. " Harry muttered, and Draco sent him another glare.

"Just quiet, Potter. You're nothing without that stupid book. " Draco spat.

"Our project is nothing without this book, " Harry corrected and Draco rolled his eyes, sitting back in his chair.

There was about a minute and a half awkward silence, until Draco finally blurted, "Why do we have the same omens?"

Harry's face turned a slight blush of pink, and he looked over at Draco. Clearing his throat, he stuttered as he spoke. "I- oh-.. Erh-, well y- you see- w-wh- I-"

At that moment, Draco held his hand up, "Don't hurt yourself, Potter. I know you don't know. " Draco said, a smirk tugging at the edge of his lips.

"Stop smirking, " Harry muttered, "It's completely unattractive when you do it. " he said, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair again.

"Oh, shut up Potter. A - anyways, back to the omens... Why do you think we have the same omens? Try not to kill yourself this time. " Draco teased, though he had a hint of curiosity in his voice.

"I- well, it's probably just a coincidence.. I'm sure both of our lives aren't the best right now and we are both going to need something to help us, so.. " Harry assumed. Never had he spoke like this to a Slytherin in such a conversational tone, especially Draco Malfoy.

"Maybe it's because Professor Trelawney is a complete nutcase. " Draco muttered, and Harry snorted at this.

"She's trying to set us up, Draco, I better go buy you a ring. " Harry joked, and the both of them laughed this time.

"Make sure it's green diamond. I'll only except that. " Draco said and laughed himself too, now, barely noticing who he was conversing with.

"When we go on our honeymoon, I want you to buy me a lion. We can go to the Shrieking Shack and dust bathe. " Harry said, and the both of them burst out into a fit of laughing.

"God, Harry, you're insane. " Draco blurted. Harry stopped laughing now, his face a blush of red.

"Y- Draco, you called me Harry.. " Harry murmured. Draco's face turned red now, too.

"I- no, of course not. No, I called you Har - I mean, Potter, I called you Potter. " he said softly.

"Uhm-n- oh.. Okay. " Harry murmured. It was quiet for the remainder of the ten minutes now, and Harry reached over the table to find the Tarantula's Pincers they needed to put in. "Ah, damnit.. I forgot the pincers."

"No, they're right here. " Draco said, reaching over and grabbing the pincers. "Even with your glasses you're blind. " Draco said.

"Quiet. " Harry murmured and dropped a few pincers into the cauldron, giving it another stir, and then capping it.

"We're done already?" Draco asked and narrowed his eyes. Harry simply nodded.

"Everything is done. " he explained.

"Well, you have to clean up, " Draco said and pulled the glasses off Harry's face, "without your glasses. "

Harry wasn't expecting his vision to become so blurry when Draco pulled his glasses off. "Give me my glasses, Malfoy!" Harry exclaimed, though a smile was on his face. Most of the students in the library had gone to sleep by now.

Draco got up and shoved the glasses in his pocket, making his way down an isle. Harry was nearly blind without his glasses, so he had his hands out, feeling everything in front of him. As soon as he saw the blurry silhouette of Draco, he sighed of relief. "Draco, give me the bloody glasses back!" Harry said, reaching out his hands again.

"Mm, I'm okay. These can fit me well. " Draco said with a grin, pulling them onto his face. Lord, he could tell how terrible Harry's eyesight was. "Your eyesight is bloody terrible, " Draco blurted, not noticing how Harry was inching nearer by the second.

"Almost there.. " Harry said, his arms running across the bookshelf until he knew was close enough. He tackled Draco right to the floor, trying to grab his glasses from his hands, but Draco pinned him down in a second.

"Hah! Not so 'strong' now, are we, Potter?" Draco narrowed his eyes with a smirk, putting the glasses on Harry's face again. The both of them were laughing so hard, Draco let himself collapse on the floor next to Harry. Finally, the two of them grew quiet as they were just laying their on the dusty carpet, looking up at the ceiling, and the both of them sighed at the same time contently.

Harry had to admit, this deal with Pansy was going a lot easier than he thought. The deal.. He hadn't even thought of the deal at this point. He was having too much fun hanging out with Draco, as weird as it really did sound.

Harry turned to look at Draco, but at the same time, Draco went to turn his head. Their eyes met and their lips nearly touched, but Harry awkwardly sat up and began to speak like a babbling idiot.

"We should-- maybe we should.. Uhm, clean up.. It's getting kind of late. " Harry murmured and stood up, helping Draco to stand up.

"Uh-- yeah, yes, I agree. " Draco murmured quietly.

The two boys walked back to their table and cleaned everything up, and soon enough both heaving their potion back to Slughorn's classroom and placing it on their desk.

"This- well- erh-.." Harry went to say, but was easily cut off.

"Yes, Harry, maybe we can hang out again some time. You know, as friends.. Let's keep it a secret, though.. Save myself the embarrassment.. " Draco muttered. Harry chuckled gently and shook his head.

"So, what, I'm just some embarrassment to the school?" Harry asked, and Draco nodded.

"Mhm, definitely. I can make fun of you on anything you want, too. " Draco mumbled. Never had he imagined becoming friends with Draco Malfoy.

"Fine. We keep it a secret. " Harry agreed.

"Good." Draco said.

"So, friends?" Harry asked the blonde.

Draco held out his hand, "Friends. " he said.

Harry stared down at his hand with pure awkwardness. He had never imagined himself becoming friends with Draco Malfoy, and even getting along with him, too. After a while, Draco awkwardly pulled his hand back and gave Harry a soft grin.

"I'll catch you later, Potter. " Draco said without a vicious tone.

Harry sent him a fake smile back, watching as Draco exited the room.

Honestly, Harry thought that if he shook Draco's hand, he would never let go.

Harry walked back to the Gryffindor common room that night with his head deep in thought. He just had a great time with the one he used to hate so much, and actually was becoming friends with him. This couldn't be possible.. Maybe it could. He would just have to stop denying himself. Yeah, he wasn't ashamed of becoming friends with Draco. Or... Was he? He wasn't sure. Harry's head was spinning in a complete circle right now, and he just wanted some rest.

Draco made his way back to the Slytherin common room, surprised to see Pansy awake.

"Blaise went to bed," Pansy said, continuously writing on a piece of parchment, which Draco guessed was an essay.

"Ah. He doesn't exactly like me right now, so, not that I care. " Draco mumbled, plopping a seat on the couch next to her.

"Where were you?" She asked.

"With Harry in the library. We were working on a potion project. " Draco explained, and a smile spread across Pansy's face.

"Ah, I see. So, how did he react? I mean, did you speak to him about the omens?" She asked, narrowing her eyes a bit.

"Barely. We just started cracking jokes and ending up having a good time. Except towards the end. He rejected my handshake for the second time.. Just like first year. " Draco said and sighed quietly to himself, fiddling with his own fingers.

"That's sweet, " Pansy said.

"What?"

"That you're in denial. That's phase two. " Pansy explained with a grin.

"Phase two? Of what?"

"Of a relationship, of course. " Pansy said with a smile.

Draco's eyes widened slightly. "You're joking. Pansy, that's disgusting. Harry and I? As a couple? Hah. Yeah right. That's disgusting. Never. " Draco said and rolled his eyes, leaning back into the couch.

"You're in Phase Two, Draco. Like I said, you'll get over it soon." Pansy said with a smile, "Just think about it, Draco. " she said. Walking towards the girls dormitories, she swung around once to say goodnight to Draco, before making her way up to her dorm.
