(04) Lord Rapp

"Anywayyy..... that was a bit dramatic." Marcus said trying to ignore Tony who was staring holes into the side of his head.

Thor nodded his head, "Yes it was son of Stark." he said which got the Mercenary very angry.

"HE'S NOT MY FATHER!" Marcus shouted with a deadly glare that made Thor flinch and everyone jump at his outburst as Tony looked down.

Bruce coughed awkwardly, "He really grows on you doesn't he?" He says trying to make light of the situation.

Steve got everyone back on the topic at hand, "Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?." He asked wanting the information needed.

Thor himself hadn't watched the video feed, instead pondering on his brothers words alone, "He has an army called the chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth, in return, I suspect, for the tesseract." He explained to the others.

Steve looked totally lost, "An army......... from outer space??" He said with disbelief, his eyes widening slightly trying to process this information, which was difficult especially seeing as he'd only recently come out of the ice.

"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce theorised.

Thor suddenly had a look of surprise on his face, "Selvig?" He asked for confirmation.

Bruce nodded, "He's a astrophysicist." He explains thinking Thor was unaware of the scientist.

"He's a friend." Thor quickly explained back to Dr.Banner.

"If we could get back to the matters at hand." Natasha Suggests to the others who nodded except for Marcus who continued to eat, "Loki has got Selvig under some kind of spell......... along with one of our own." She explained with a saddened look.

Marcus noticed how she looked down at the floor clearly having Barton being controlled by the Trickster God was a tough subject for her. Natasha looked up to see a surprisingly sympathetic look from Marcus.

"I wanna know why Loki just let us take him, he's not leading an army from here." Steve said not convinced by how straightforward it was to capture the god.

"Ugh, I'm so bored." Marcus complained with an annoyed look on his face.

"Not everything is about you Rapp." Agent Hill said as she stood crossed arms leaning against the metal barrier. Marcus hadn't even clocked her presence in the room until now as she spoke.

Marcus got up from his seat and strutted over to Agent Hill, "Well hello beautiful, Who would've thought that I wouldn't have noticed a stunner like you in the room. Marcus Rapp, you've probably heard of me. I can already see it now, speaking to our kids - This was how I met your mother." Marcus said as he grasped her hand and planted a soft kiss on it as Hill scoffed at the mercenary's advances before she walked over to the opposite side of the room.

"Rapp!,Would you stop flirting with my agents!" Fury barked at Marcus as he entered the room.

Marcus just laughs as he jumps straight into the seat next to Steve, "Hey I'm just playing, I'm keeping the atmosphere light and breezy which is what we need right now since what Loki said." Nick gave him a stern but understanding look.

"But back to subject I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him." Bruce said to get everyone back on track.

"Oh Brucie... I wouldn't have said that if I were you." Marcus said as he looked between the Dr and Thor waiting for something to happen.

Thor looked offended by Bruce's words as he stepped closer to the table, "Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother." He said.

"He killed eighty people in two days." Natasha flatly stated as it was obvious.

Thor felt a little stupid, "He's adopted." He admittedly said embarrassed.

Marcus then laughed, "Ha! that's nothing. I've killed more people in a few minutes." He interrupted.

Steve looked at Marcus strangely, "That's not something to be proud of, Marcus." He said weirded out.

Marcus put a finger to Steve's lips catching him by surprise, "Come back to me when you've got a spreadsheet of all your personal best kill streaks." He said cockily, taking his hand away and leaning back with his arms behind his head.

"He's not joking Captain." Nick stated as he has already been shown the really long list of kills.

Thor was extremely intrigued by the Mercenary, "I wish to learn more of you Lord Rapp, there is none quite like you on Asgard." He said interested in his story.

Natasha then said, "Please don't to call him any titles like that." As she knew it would make his ego even more bigger than it already is.

Marcus had a victorious expression on his face, "Ha! no backsies now muscles.......... but in all seriousness I'd be happy to give you the rundown in all things me." He said ecstatic.

Natasha rolled her eyes, "I'm sure you would." She said shaking her head in annoyance.

"I'm lucky i can't die otherwise I'm sure all those people would want to kill me by now." Marcus said spacing out but only Natasha caught the sadness in his voice.

"Iridium? What does he need Iridium for?" Bruce questions.

"Its a stabilizing agent." Tony and Marcus replies at the same time. Marcus glanced at the Stark before looking down annoyed. He wiped his hand over his face before shaking his head.

Tony stayed quiet as he watched his unknown son before walking to the middle of the room where a bunch of controls were, " Iridium will help the portal not collapse like it did with S.H.I.E.L.D ." He said changing the subject quickly, not liking the direction it would have most likely gone.

Tony strolled past Thor and then tapped him on the arm, "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing. Anyway, the Portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants." He explained.

Marcus quickly looses interest in the conversation and starts to play games on his phone. He tried to tune the others out.

Tony and Bruce started bouncing science jargon off of each other whilst the others just listened to them go at it. Theorising about what the Tesseract would be used for them.

Tony would sneak glances at Marcus as he talked. He wanted to be in his life and he would do anything to gain his forgiveness about what he had done.

Marcus was playing games on his phone until fury cleared his throat to get everyone's attention which made him loose his focus and made him lose, "Ughh you just made me lose!" He complained throwing his arms in the air.

Fury ignored him which made Marcus huff in annoyance, "Alright dismissed!" The Director said as He, Hill and Coulson spread out to other areas of the Bridge.

Marcus put his phone back into his pocket before making his way out of the room, but not before sending a glare at the man who was apart of ruining his life.

Tony having caught the glare looked down with a sad sigh, regret in his features. Bruce patted his back and lead them both to the lab.
