Amora

It was Friday. Meaning movie night.

The day soon passed and it grew darker and darker, reaching into the night.

Surprisingly, it was a pretty cold and rainy night. Weird, since we lived in California and it was barely turning into the fall season.

Nonetheless we still were going to have our movie night. Which would we all constantly do.

Due to the amount of times everyones come over too my house. Pops started to mind it less so now we wouldn't have too walk on complete egg shells everywhere we went.

I sighed, tapping my chin as I looked through the closet for something comfortable to wear. I dug through the racks of clothes, frowning once having no success.

I turned around, immediately laying eyes on the number thirty jersey that rested on the back of a chair that sat in front of my dresser

I walked over, slowly holding it up as I titled my head. Thinking to myself. It was of course Benny's who forgot about it and left it here for like the second time now.

I certainly would never ever even think about wearing something like that. But..fashion statement?

I slowly cracked a small smile as I whipped around, quickly digging back through the closet.

I leaned back as I placed my hands onto my hips, examining myself in the mirror. I decided to wear a black skirt and plain sheer button up white shirt. With black see through tights to you know, add a little more to it?

I huffed, stepping down the stairs as I continued to smooth out the shirt into the skirt, walking off into the living room.

I ran a hand through my hair before jumping and pausing in my tracks once hearing the sound of the doorbell ring.

I excitedly walked over, flinging the door open to see the group smiling back at me.

"Oh finally! It's raining like mad out-

Carrie slowly stopped in her tracks, eyes trailing down me. "Who am I looking at!"

I glanced down, shrugging slightly with a smile. "Don't know?"

Her eyes were wide as she stared at me in complete shock. "Oh my god..since when do you wear jerseys?"

I rolled my eyes, shaking my head at her."Since.." I trailed off, looking over towards Benny who walked into the house.

"Well since that pinhead" I finished, pointing towards him.

I watched as his gaze flickered over towards me, immediately pausing in his tracks and mouth completely dropping.

"So that's where it went!" He exclaimed, widening his eyes as he walked over.

"Yeah well why'd you leave it you moron!" I shot back, pushing at his arm.

He didn't reply, eyes now lit up as he continued to examine me. "Well..I can't be that mad"

I rolled my eyes, pushing at his shoulder before looking back to see Carrie who continued to look at me, arms crossed as she shook her head.

"Now, this is just unfair. Since when, can you possibly make even a jersey fashionable now?" She questioned, titling her head as she examined me.

"Oh I don't know, it's a gift!" I smiled sarcastically, clapping my hands happily.

She shook her head with a smile, waving me off as she turned around and walked back over towards the group.

I shook my head, looking back and smiling once seeing Benny who pulled me closer towards him. "God you look so adorable!"

I cracked a small smile as he wrapped his arms around me tightly, pecking many small kisses all over my face, making me immediately groan as I attempted to push him away.

"Ok! Enough of this smooching! Are we watching a movie or what?" Ham shouted, crossing his arms impatiently.

I quickly held my hand up towards Benny, stopping him as I nodded before motioning them to go over towards the couches.

They all jumped onto the couches with their blankets and pillows, making me crack a small laugh as I watched them.

"I'm going to get popcorn ok?" I called out, before exiting the room.

Quickly I walked into the kitchen, whipping up a packet of popcorn in the microwave before walking back out with a bowl now in my hand.

I threw a popcorn kernel into my mouth walking back over yet stopping once I looked around too find a spot to sit at.

My eyes stopped on Benny who waved me over making me walk forward, shooting Theo a smile before sitting down in between them.

"This movie is way scary by the way" I whispered, tapping Theo's arm.

"Really? I don't like scary movies! They're traumatizing!" He shrieked, looking at me wide eyed.

"Really? Sucks" I laughed, throwing another kernel into my mouth.

"Oh my god Amora! Your house is huge I almost couldn't find the bathroom!" Penelope walked into the room, wiping her hands onto her pants.

"Oh I'm sorry! I could've showed you?" I frowned, watching as she cracked a small smile.

"No it's cool, I got it" She laughed, shaking her head as she waved it off.

I nodded and cracked a smile at her, watching as she sat down on the other side of Benny, before looking back towards the tv.

Slowly the movie started, and many screams erupted around the room from it.We all watched the screen intently being eager yet afraid and nervous to see what would happen next.

"Holy fucking- what the hell is that!" Theo exclaimed, slapping a hand over his eyes.

"Ooo..this my favorite part shut the hell up" Carrie ordered, holding her hand up, signaling for him to be quiet.

I laughed staring at the screen before slowly shifting my gaze over once hearing soft whispers, to see Benny and Penelope who sat talking.

I watched Penelope smile and crack a light laugh as they talked before I finally decided to look away, shaking my head and adverting my gaze back to the movie.

They're probably talking about baseball. Or the story of the beast, something like that.

I continued to watch the screen when Theo snatched my hand and closed his eyes in fear.

"Oh my god, relax you clown" I sighed, laughing at his reaction from the scene.

"I'm sorry it's just- why the hell would you show me this?" He shrieked, looking away from the screen.

"Hey guess what?" I chirped, cracking into a smug smile.

"What?" He slowly questioned.

"I bet. That killer guy is totally going to come into your window tonight" I stated, motioning towards the screen.

Immediately his face fell as he slowly turned his heads towards me, flashing a nervous look on his face. I pressed my lips together, shaking my head as I held in a laugh.

A sudden light flashed from outside making everyone pause and freeze in their spots.

"Oh shit! Theres lightning!" Carrie exclaimed, looking out the window wide eyed.

"Really? Oh my god let me see!" I squealed, excitedly shooting up and looking out with her.

Carrie and I both leaned against the couch peering out the window, jumping once another strike of lightning flashed.

"Geez. Its way harsh out there" I sighed, shaking my head before sitting back down.

Suddenly the tv went black and the lights shut out, making everyone let out shrieks immediately. We all froze in our spots practically screaming our heads off in the pitch black darkness.

"Theo! It's ok!" I called, feeling him grip my hand even tighter.

"I think I just peed!" Hams voice called out, making everyone groan and shout at him.

"Amora! Go down to the basement, check the electricity box will you?" Dads voice called out from upstairs.

I groaned, huffing as I pushed myself up from the coach. "God making me do that stupid crap I'm-yes papa!" I quickly called out back to him once hearing him shout at me again.

Slowly I held my hands out to feel for anything I could bump into, making my way over towards the desk in the corner and pulling out a flashlight from the drawer.

I flicked on the flashlight waving it back towards everyone to see them all sat frozen in their spots.

"Ok, I'll be back. Wait here" I sighed, beginning to turn around before being pulled back.

"Hey- I'm not letting you go by yourself!" Benny grabbed onto me, pulling me back towards him.

"Yeah yeah and you can't just leave us here!" Yeah-yeah added, holding Carrie fearfully in his arms.

"Fine..then why don't you smart clowns come?" I exclaimed, flailing my hands around crazily.

Yeah-yeah, Carrie, squints and hams all immediately came running over, clutching onto each other as they stood behind me.

I rolled my eyes turning back around with Benny holding onto my hand tightly, as they all followed behind.

I held the light in front of me slowly making my way through the house, feeling myself slowly grow nervous from how dark it was.

Suddenly another lightning strike flashed through the house making us let out screams and jump back.

Squints shrieked, wrapping his around my neck as he jumped up onto me, making me immediately hold him so he wouldn't fall.

"Squints! Oh get off" I groaned, dropping my arms with him plopping back onto the ground.

"Ow! Quit pushing me!" Carrie groaned, smacking ham's arms away.

"Oh this is just way scary. I don't like it!" I whined, slowly taking another hesitant fearful step.

Slowly I made my way over towards the basement door and stopped abruptly, making them all harshly bump into me from behind.

"Geez back up!" I groaned, shooing them all away.

I took in a nervous breathe before slowly pushing open the door to face a few steps leading down into the dark room.

"Oh hell no!" Squints muttered, shaking his head with a nervous gulp.

"This is just like the movie guys! A house full of innocent teenagers with a harsh storm outside. The electricity cuts out and then suddenly one by one we all go-

"Shut up no it's not! Stop- you're freaking me out here!" I shouted over him, gripping onto Benny's hand tighter.

"Ok, we'll make this quick! I just need to go and flick on some button, that's all" I shook my head, trying my hardest to convince myself.

Slowly I made my way down the steps with them closely following behind, so close that they were practically breathing down my neck.

"I'm sure any second now there's going to be something that pops out from-

"Shut it four eyes!" I cut him off, muffling my ear tightly.

I shook my head at him angrily, slowly making way through the dark room and spotting the box that was placed on the wall.

I gulped, hesitantly stepping towards it before freezing once was the sound of the wooden floor creaked.

"Uh.. guys what was that?" I softly questioned, whipping around and pausing in my tracks.

Suddenly the door from the basement closed making us all jump up and scream, quickly huddling up and hugging each other.

I closed my eyes squeezing whoever the hell I was now holding, with another pair of arms that tightly gripped onto my waist.

"Oh I don't even want too move" I whined, shaking my head with my eyes closed in fear.

"Amora? Is that you?" Squints voice laughed."Finally! My dreams have been-

"Shut up squints!" Benny's voice shouted, cutting him off immediately.

I groaned shaking my head, being too afraid too even let go and yell at him.We all continued too stand still in the dark room, practically shaking as we gripped onto each other.

"Guys... I think something touched me!" Hams voice shouted, erupting us into screams.

Immediately we all ran towards the door practically falling over each other, before swinging it open to see a dark figure standing right outside.

I let out a shriek quickly throwing the flashlight at it before covering my eyes in fear, with everyone continuing to scream behind me.

"Ow!" A voice exclaimed, making us all immediately stop.

Slowly I uncovered my eyes too see Rose who stood in the dark, holding onto her arm as she rubbed it too soothe the pain from the hit.

"Rose?" I shrieked, widening my eyes once spotting her.

"What the hell was that for? You scared the crap out of us!" I exclaimed, flailing my hands crazily.

"Oh I'm so sorry dear I came by because I forgot my wallet, I saw the basement door open?" She explained, looking at me with confusion.

"Well shit we thought we were just about to die here!" I shrieked, breathing out as I threw my hands around.

"Why were you guys in there in the first place?" She questioned, looking to the each of us.

"Papa wanted me to check out the electrical box. Power went out" I explained, slowly lowering my voice as I attempted to catch my breathe.

"Oh no wonder it's all dark in here, did you try the one on the side?" She questioned, tilting her with a frown.

I furrowed my eyebrows looking back to everyone in confusion."What are you talking about?" I questioned, shaking my head at her statement.

"Yeah! There's one right here. See?" She laughed, stepping into the room.

She took one step into basement reaching onto the side of the wall before flicking a switch, making the house instantly light up.

"Oh you can't be serious" I shouted, angrily face palming myself.
