Chapter 12 Visions

After that scene, another scene appears, it is inside a house, the girl that looks like me Liana, Kevin, and Mei are sitting on the floor in the living room, a table is there filled with books and stuff, it looks like a study session.

"Mei nee-san, how do you do this problem?" Liana ask Mei as she scoots over to her side and showed her book to Mei.

"Oh you just need to do...." Mei explains, "and that's how you get the answer"

"Thank you Mei nee-san, your explanation is better than my teacher" Liana smiled happily as she takes back her book and started writing on it.

"Your welcome Liana, if you have further questions just ask me" Mei said

"Hey Liana, don't always rely on Mei to teach you, you should study on your own" Kevin said

"Says the one who has been asking Mei nee-san every 2 minutes since we started, while I only asked her once, I guess I am happy that I don't have your stupidity genes Oni-chan, I sometimes worry about your future if you keep doing this," Liana said

"Hey who are you calling stupid huh? come here you little brat" Kevin said as he stands and walked towards Liana

"Ahh! Mei nee-san, protect me" Liana crawls away and hide behind Mei

"I am sorry Liana, I am staying neutral" Mei said

"What? Mei nee-san?" Liana said as she looked towards Mei in an [shocked] expression

"Hehehe, no one will protect you Liana, are you scared?" Kevin said as he closes the gap

"Wait, Oni-chan, let's be civil here, you are the older one so you should be tolerant. Wait, stay away, no, no, AHHAHAHAHA! STOP IT! HAHAHHAHAH" Liana screamed as her belly is being tickled

"This is what you get for being a brat, since I am older than you, you should respect me." Kevin said with a laugh as he tickled Liana

"I AM SORRY!! AHAHAHHAH! Wait Oni-chan, I can't breeeee HAHAHAHA!" Liana screamed as she rolled around on the ground. "I GIVE, I GIVE" she said as she doubled taps the ground.

"Hmmph, looks like you've learned your lesson, don't mess with me" Kevin said with a smug look

"Eh? Liana?" Mei suddenly said as she looked towards Liana's book

"What is it?" Liana said as she crawls back to Mei's side still holding her strained stomach due to the tickling.

"All of your answers before the one that I showed you are wrong" Mei said as she looked shocked

"What? How can that be?" Liana said as she look at her book

"PFFTT, HAHAHAHAHA!, who is it that said that she only asked once, but it turns out the one she didn't asked is all wrong, HAHAHAHA!" Kevin laughed on the floor as he rolled around, he didn't notice Liana sneaking up on him and prepared to tickle him.

"Shut up, I will teach you a lesson for laughing at me" Liana said and continues to tickle Kevin's stomach.

"Wait! AHAHHAHAHAHH! you brat, stop iiiiti HAHAHAHAHA! I give up" Kevin screamed, Liana stopped tickling him.

"That is the price you pay for insulting me, baka Oni-chan" Liana pouted as she crosses her arms

"Hey you are the dumb one, baka imouto" Kevin said back at her as he sits up while holding his stomach.

"What do you say baka Oni-chan?"

"I say you are a dumb girl, baka imouto" 

They are glaring daggers at each other until...

"AHHHH! MEI, my ears"

"AHHHH! Mei nee-san, stop pulling"

Mei comes and pulls both of their ears as they shouted in pain.

"You are both dumb, so instead of fighting to see who is dumb-er, you two should think of how to become not dumb" Mei said coldly as she stares both of them with menacing eyes.

""Sorry ma'am"" Both of them said as they kowtowed in front of Mei

"Good grief, I guess you two really are siblings, I kind of worried for you both's futures" Mei said as she sighs.

Then the vision ended.

The girl that looked like me is having a study session with Mei and Kevin, the siblings is engage in normal sibling rivalry when Mei the unofficial mother separated them and teach both of them a lesson.

A happy scene if you ask me, even if both of them get punished.

Then another vision, the second one, started.

It was on the same living room, but this time it was filled with decorations, in the middle of the table, there is a cake. It looks like a birthday party. Mei and Kevin is standing next to the table.

""Happy Birthday Liana"" Both of them said

"Oni-chan, Mei nee-san, thank you" Liana said as she runs towards them and hug them both.

"Congratulations on getting older, I wish you a long live and prosperity." Mei said to Liana as she let go of the hug

"Thanks Mei nee-san"

"Congratulations Liana, I wish you had more stuff inside your brain this year." Kevin said

"Of course, I wouldn't want to be like you, older than me but still dumb" Liana said with a teasing smile.

"Hey you, what did you say?" Kevin said

"That you are dumb oni-chan" Liana replied

"You brat" Kevin raises his voice

"You Moron" Liana raises her voice

They both glared at each other.

""AWWWW!"" Both of them screamed in pain

Their ears are again pulled by Mei

"Can you sibling stop fighting?" Mei said in annoyance

Both of them calm down and sit down around the table.

"Honestly, I feel like a mother who is annoyed at her children's fights. Can you guys just not fight every time you get together?" Mei said as she holds her forehead.

"But he started it" Liana said

"What do you say brat?" Kevin replied

"You two stop it right now, if you don't then you both cannot eat the cake." Mei said

"I am sorry my cute little imouto, let's not fight for now ok? at least until we eat the cake" Kevin said

"Deal, I am sorry to my handsome Oni-chan, now Mei nee-san, let's eat the cake." Liana said as she picks up the knife and started to cut it.

"*sigh, I ever read somewhere that siblings fight a lot, but I must say that I am impressed by the degree of hostility between you two, yet in front of cakes, you can make a truce agreement. My head hurts just by stopping you two fighting when I am present, I don't even want to know how your mother can stay sane handling you two." Mei said with a heavy tone.

The vision ended

I guess it is true that siblings fight a lot, I mean I fight with Sirin some time ago. But I could imagine how much burden their mother must have felt having the two of them as children. I silently prayed for her sanity even if I am not sure if all of this is real or just a piece of my imagination.

The Third vision started, this time it was in the park somewhere overlooking a river, it was late in the afternoon and the sky is turning orange. There was a bench with Kevin sitting on it and Liana is standing behind him whispering.

"Oni-chan, this is the chance, you need to confess to her, who knows maybe she will be smitten by you and decided to spend the night with you somewhere." Liana whispered

"Shut up, I am still nervous, I don't think that today is the time." Kevin answered flusteredly

"You made me plan all this date today for nothing? I hate you oni-chan, I will forgive you if you manage to confess to Mei nee-san." Liana replied with a pout

"But..." Kevin tried to say something but Liana cut him off

"No buts, judging from her behaviour, she is also interested in you, so grow some balls and confess to her alright oni-chan?" Liana replied

"Ughh, Fine" Kevin said "Now go hide"

"OK" Liana said as she move towards the bushes near the bench and hide there.

From a distance, Mei arrives while carrying two hot dogs and sits down on the bench

"Mei, I bought you lemon tea, Here you go" Kevin said as she put the straw in and handed it to Mei as he takes his hot dog.

"Thanks, Kevin" Mei said as she sip the lemon tea, and started eating the hot dog.

"Hmmm, this is nice, after a day of playing around in the amusement park, it is quite tiring" Kevin said as he also eats his hot dog.

"Fufufu, but it is fun, I never thought of enjoying an amusement park, I initially thought it is just a waste of time that can be used to study or research. But it turns out it is quite fun if you go out with a friend" Mei said

"Yeah, I too enjoyed going with you today, maybe in the future we can go again if you are not too busy." Kevin said as he finishes his hot dog, throws the trash into the garbage can, and drinks his lemon tea.

Mei also finishes her hot dog and is now sipping on her lemon tea. The sky darkens and stars started to appear.

"It's beautiful, sadly what we see on these stars is actually their past's light that took time to reach us, maybe now, that star has disappeared, but their light is still traveling to us." Mei said as she looked at the sky.

"Hahaha, trust you to be able to give a science lesson in an amusement park, by the way, you ever said that the brightest stars burn the quickest, what do you mean by that?" Kevin asked, he too looked at the sky.

"Would you want a simple or a full answer?" Mei said as she looked toward him.

"Uhmmm, simple." Kevin said

"Fufufu, I expected you to choose that blockhead" Mei laughed

"Hey, at least I am smarter than Liana ok?" Kevin said in defense.

A thud is sounded from the direction of the bushes where Liana is hiding. Liana has punched the ground in anger.

"This ungrateful, stupid Oni-chan, I have helped him with his date today and this is how I am re-payed?" Liana whispers to herself

"Uhm, what is that sound?" Mei said as she looked at the bushes

"Maybe a wild animal or something, anyway Mei, the answer?" Kevin said

"When a star shines by burning fuel in the form of Hydrogen using nuclear fusion, after the hydrogen is used up, it will use Helium as fusion fuel, it will continue this way until it reaches Iron which cannot be a further fuse, thus at some point, the amount of fussionable fuel is unable to sustain the pressure needed to counter the force of gravity and the star will collapse, then a supernova occurred which means the death of the star leaving its core as a neutron star. Now, this only happens on a certain size of stars. Greater stars collapse into black holes, smaller stars didn't go supernova and just shed their outer layer which creates a sort of nebulae around it." Mei started a lengthy explanation. "Now the brighter the star, the faster it burns the fuel which the fussionable fuel I have been talking about earlier. That means the amount of time it takes to exhaust the fuel is much faster."

"Uhmm Mei? is this the simple answer?" Kevin asked confusedly

"Yes" Mei said as she looked at Kevin's confused state, "Well, I guess in more simple terms the brighter the star, the faster it burns fuel, and the faster it dies."

"Ah I see," Kevin said

Silence filled the space between them as they continue to look at the night sky.

"Mei, there is something I want to say to you" Kevin said as he move closer to Mei and looked at her eyes.

"Hm? What is it?" Mei replied as she looked at Kevin.

"After spending time with you at school and outside of school, I finally realize that I like being around you and spending time with you." Kevin said, "I...I love you"

"..." Mei sit there in silence with wide eyes

"I may be not the smartest guy in the world, definitely not as smart as you, I also have some weaknesses but I want you to know that I care for you and will never leave you, I will always protect you in the future." Kevin said with determination in his eyes.

"Kevin..." Mei said in shock

"I love you, will you be my girlfriend?" Kevin asked as he holds Mei hands

"... Yes, I love you too Kevin" Mei said as she smiled sweetly

They both come closer and kiss.

"YES! I finally get Mei as my girlfriend" Kevin exclaimed in joy 

"Hahaha, Kevin, is dating me that rewarding?" Mei asked

"Of course, oh by the way Liana is helping me organize today's date, she is nearby, so let me call her to give her the good news, she has been wanting you and me to have a relationship."

The vision end there. Hmmm, it looks like Kevin is Mei's lover. But what is weird is that in all three visions, Kevin is an expressive, happy-go-lucky kinda guy, a far shot from Bronya's description of him as oppressive and cold.

I don't know whose memories this is but it feels very familiar, it is like I am living through it, maybe it's because the people here match the people that I know? Ugh, and why am I seeing all of these?

Before long the fourth vision started out, and the city is as normal. Mei, Liana, and Kevin are walking on the streets laughing and chatting, there are children playing in the square near them and people buying and selling items on the market behind them. The sky is a clear blue sunny sky that can light up your day. 

"Mei nee-san, let's go home and eat the cake" Liana said as she pulls Mei's sleeve

"Alright, let's go home" Mei said as she nodded

"Hey Liana, if you always eat cake, you will be fat you know?" Kevin said teasingly

"Hmmph, I can eat whatever I wanted to..." Liana said

An explosion suddenly is heard, and a purple semi-sphere-shaped blastwave is spreading rapidly from its epicenter. The sky darkens into a dark purple as lightning strikes the ground everywhere. People are running in panic, some to run away, some to see what is going on. 

The sphere starts to dissipate but the sky is still full of black clouds and many bolts of lightning strike the ground and buildings, some cause fires on trees. People started to feel a tingling sensation on their skin as the electric field in the air causes the soft hair on the people's skin to stand up.

"What is that? An explosion?" Passerby A said

"The sky is clear just a moment ago, did the explosion cause a storm?" Passerby B said

Many people on the streets look up to see the dark sky and talk to each other about the strange phenomena.

"Whoa, that explosion caused this storm" Kevin said as he too look at the dark sky

"Strange, what is that explosion that makes it able to change the weather?" Mei said

"Mei nee-san, Oni-chan, we need to go back home, it could rain at any moment." Liana said as she turns around and prepared to run back to the train station.

"Yeah, let's go" Kevin said as he takes all the stuff that Mei is carrying and running for the station. Mei is close behind him.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes the station's power room causing an outage, and more bolts of lightning started to strike the ground near the square. Some bolts struck nearby buildings and some hit fences. They don't pose any threat to humans since the bolts hit the lightning rods and metal fences that are all planted to the ground, so if a human didn't touch the grounding wire or the fence with a direct connection to the ground (Bare feet) then it will be fine. It is just the psychological terror of seeing these bolts of lightning hitting close to you with the notorious crack of thunder following behind. 

People are running for shelter, to restaurants, shops, buildings, and to the train station. The train station is an elevated platform where the train platform is on the second level of the station. The rain started to fall, a small rain but in a few seconds it turns into torrential rain, as the winds picked up, howling through the station's interior.

"Phew, we manage to reach the station before getting wet." Liana said

"Yeah, it is pouring out there" Kevin said, he was carrying all the stuff that we purchase on the shopping trip.

"Let's see if the train is still operating even if there is an outage here since the train power cable is still operational" Mei said as she walks towards a station staff.

Mei talks to the staff before returning to the other two.

"They said that the train is still running, so let's go to the platform and go home," Mei said

The three of them go to the platform above, luckily the train has just arrived so they boarded the train bound for the outskirts of the city where their residence is located.

As the train exits the station, the winds hit the train causing it to creak eerily and sway from side to side. The people on the train are noticeably anxious as they are facing a freak weather event.

"Holy cow, the wind is so strong" Passenger A said

"Would our train be blown off the track?" Passenger B said

"Don't know man, I hope it doesn't" Passenger A said

"Damn, I don't like this" Kevin said

"Relax, I am sure the engineers thought this through" Liana answered

Suddenly a creature is approaching the train from the side, it has white and purple color markings and it can fly (A/N: a Seraphim-class Archangel)

"Hey what is that?" Liana said as she looked out from the window

The creature stops, but its wings glow as if it was readying itself for a charge. It then emits a blast of energy and propels itself to the train.

"Liana, get down" Kevin said as he pulls and hug Mei who is closer to him and gets down to the ground while Liana is standing near the train door's window.

Liana gets down on the ground as the creature rams the front carriage derailing the train. The train then falls down from the elevated platform barreling toward the ground.

The first carriage hits the ground and deforms as the force of the fall and the speed of the train prove too much for the metal frame to withstand. It crumples as the people inside are thrown into the air, hitting the roof, flying off windows, and hitting the ground.

The train's inertia is not stopped however pushing the first carriage forward as the train keeps going even though the first carriage has crashed on the ground. The second carriage impacts the ground. It is not as bad as the first carriage but it still took massive damage on its underside as it crashes into the ground. The people inside are also thrown up into the roof and some are thrown outside. 

It was then that the first carriage hits a building that was on the side of the elevated railway and about half of the carriage crumpled like a pancake before the train comes to a full stop. The trio is located on the second carriage that has hit the ground hard. The third and fourth carriages are hanging in midair. The fifth has half of its length suspended in the air while the sixth is still on the rails. People started to flow out of the sixth carriage onto the rail platform. If you look at it, the only thing that is holding the third, fourth, and fifth carriage is the sixth carriage which is on the rails. It is beginning to topple over, pulled to the side by the weight of the three carriages in front of it. As more and more people exit the carriage, the weight inside decreases, accelerating the list until it reaches a critical point where its center of gravity moves outside of its support (the wheels) and it topples over, falling from the elevated railway platform, side first, carrying some unfortunate souls who haven't have the time to exit the carriage. 

As the sixth carriage topples over, the third, fourth and fifth also follow it and fall. The sixth carriage makes contact with the ground instantly crushing it and killing anyone left inside. The fourth and the fifth hit the ground after it and receive major damage to their structural integrity as people inside are thrown about like a pinball. The third suffers the least damage as it is the closest to the ground and suffers only minor dents here and there. People started to rush out from the third carriage, some are covered in blood, others are carrying injured persons, and some crawled out as their legs are broken.

"Kevin, KEVIN, are you ok?" Mei said as she looks towards Kevin who hugs her tightly and protected her head with his hands. They are in the second carriage, not the heaviest damage, but still, it is also not mild. Kevin is laying on the floor of the carriage with Mei still in his arms. He has protected Mei from hitting the roof, the floor, the sides of the carriage as they are thrown about in the air as the carriage falls and hit the ground.

"*cough, *cough, Mei... Are you alright?" Kevin said in a hoarse voice as blood started to trickle from his head.

"Kevin, you are bleeding" Mei immediately puts her hand on Kevin's head to find where the bleed originated.

"I am fine, it is just a small cut from glass shrapnel, I have some minor injuries to on my hands and backs due to it." Kevin brushed it off and starts sitting up.

"*relief-sigh, it's good that your ok" Mei said as she stands up and check her body, "Minor injuries on my back and legs, but overall it is good" 

"I see, I guess I protected you like a good boyfriend right?" Kevin said teasingly

"In times like this you can still joke about, Wait, LIANA!" Mei exclaim as she search the carriage for Liana. People who are still conscious and still able to move is starting to leave the carriage. The floor is littered with people laying there, some dead some close to. Blood is pooling on the floor as Mei is searching for Liana. Kevin then stands up and proceed to accompany Mei. 

"Kevin, Liana is over here" Mei said as she kneels in front of an unconscious body.

"Liana" Kevin walks over and kneels beside Mei

"She is still alive, but her head is hit hard and is bleeding heavily, her body is also not in a good shape, a massive shard of glass is lodged in her left thigh." Mei said as she examines Liana. She then rips her sleeves and wraps them first on Liana's Head to try to act as a makeshift bandage and then on her legs above the wound to stop blood flow from going to her left leg. "Some bones might be broken but we don't have the luxury of not moving her, we need to exit the carriage and find help. The glass penetrated her thigh which most likely damage either the superficial or Profunda femoral artery which is the main artery on the thighs, she will bleed to death if we can't find help."

"She will die?" Kevin looked at Mei in shock

"Well, I have minimized the blood flow going to her left leg so it should buy us some time, but if we can't find an ambulance or a hospital, she will die." Mei said. "Kevin, carry her on her back, let's go out from the carriage."

Mei helped Kevin to pick up Liana on his back. They exit the carriage to a scene of carnage. Bodies littered the streets. These are the people who are thrown out of the train during the crash. People who survive are seen limping along the road, some sit down quite a distance away from the train, and some carry injured persons and are shouting for help.

"Call an ambulance Mei" Kevin said

"Already tried to call them but they aren't picking up, the signal is a bit bad but the most likely thing that happens is that the call center loses power. It should start running from its auxiliary power source and be online again later." Mei said as she hold her phone which is still functional although it is damaged.

"Damn it, where is the closest hospital? we can't let Liana die" Kevin ask Mei in panic.

"It is about 1 km away, near your home" Mei said

"Let's go then, we can't wait for them to come to us. Mei, you lead using the map" Kevin said as he began to walk in the direction of the hospital.

Suddenly a group of creatures is seen near the wrecked train, it looks like a person riding a horse. (A/N: Knight-class Paladins)

It started to charge at the survivors impaling them with their lances in droves. People started to run away from them but they are too quick and easily mow them down. Pieces of people are flying everywhere as the creature tore them apart. The people who are still alive and running away have a purple-bluish mark on their necks and face, as their skin whitens. 

"What are those creatures?" Mei said as she looked back at the direction of the train

"Damn, they are coming towards us, Mei, RUN!" Kevin said as he runs away from the creature in a slow pace since he is carrying Liana. Mei is in front of him matching his pace so that she will not leave Kevin behind.

The creature however is too fast. A creature catches up to them quickly and readies its lance to strike at them.

"Mei, take Liana and run" Kevin said as he drops Liana on the ground, a bit rough but he had no time and charged at the creature.

"KEVIN! you crazy bastard" Mei Screamed as she looked at Kevin in panic. She moves to Liana's side and tries to lift her up. "Damn it Liana, if only you eat less I could carry you easily" Mei said to herself. Meanwhile, Kevin is picked up a metal pipe and fights the creature.

"Stay away from them you goddamn monster" Kevin cried out a battle cry as he launches himself in the air and tries to hit the person-like creature riding the horse-like creature. The creature reacted by thrusting its lance toward Kevin. The two weapons meet but sadly the metal pipe is not built as a weapon and it deforms and breaks. Due to inertia, Kevin is still on a collision course with the rider, he readies for a punch. The creature is hit and the rider is flung back and demounting as Kevin's fist hits it. Unfortunately, the horse-like creature manages to kick Kevin and he was thrown near Mei and Liana who is still in the same place since Mei is struggling to lift Liana.

The horse started to charge at the two of them.

"MEI! LIANA!" Kevin screamed as he brought his aching body back up and run to them.

'No, I won't make it. The horse will hit them before I could push them out. Damn it, I can't let Mei and Liana die, I can't let my loved ones die, I still want to be with them.' Kevin thought to himself as tears started to drop from his eyes as he is running. 

He almost gives up, but at the last moment, a shot rings out as the horse started to fall and another shot hits the rider who has dismounted earlier. Kevin managed to reach the two of them.

"Mei, are you alright?" Kevin said as he crouch near them.

"I... I'm fine Kevin, are you ok? I saw you get hit by the horse, are you in pain? any broken bones?" Mei said as she holds Kevin's hands and stare into his eyes, tears spilling from her eyes.

"I'm fine, I am tough, it's nothing but a flesh wound" Kevin said as he smiled even though his eyes are still filled with tears.

A group of soldiers is running toward them. They shoot the remaining creatures and form a perimeter around the three of them as what looks like their squad leader, a person who dresses in black, engages them in a conversation.

"You are Raiden Mei correct?" The squad leader said

"Yes, who are you?" Mei replied, eying the person with suspicion.

"Greetings, I am Lieutenant Takagawa Aoi, from the 1st bodyguard unit of Dr. Mobius from the Fire MOTH, an organization that is built to fight the honkai, which are those creatures you saw just now. My superior told me to extract you to HQ since she took a liking to your research and deemed you one of the best minds of humanity and wishes to recruit you to work for her to save humanity from the honkai threat." Takagawa said

"Honkai? Fire MOTH?" Mei asked perplexedly

"All will be explained directly by Dr. Mobius in the HQ, we will also provide medical help to you and your friends, especially since your white-haired friend over there is in critical condition. After you listen to Dr. Mobius's explanation, you can still choose to not accept the deal, we will still provide medical help for your friend even if you were to refuse recruitment." Takagawa said

"Mei, we have no choice but to trust them, even though I am suspicious of them, I don't think I am able to carry Liana to the hospital, and she is dying right now. You can even refuse recruitment if you are unwilling to join them, *cough" Kevin said as he coughed, looks like the adrenaline is starting to be flushed out of his system and he is starting to feel pain.

Mei looked worriedly at Kevin who is holding his stomach where the horse kicked him, and then looked at Liana who is laying there on the ground getting paler and paler. 

"Fine, we'll follow you to your HQ, but I won't guarantee of accepting your offer, plus I want you to provide medical aid to them as fast as possible." Mei

"Great" Takagawa said as she instructs two of the soldiers to carry Liana and Kevin back to their vehicles. The rest enters the vehicles along with Mei and Takagawa. The convoy is heading towards Fire MOTH's HQ and on the way, medics stabilized Liana and Kevin's condition.

The memories end there. That flying creature and the horse rider is a honkai beast, which means that the purple explosion earlier is a honkai eruption. Judging from the lightning, it is the 3rd Herrscher, Mei-senpai. But there are things that don't add up. First of all, there is still the issue of Kevin being present. Second is that a person with the same name as me, the same look as me, same everything as me is his sister. Third, is if this [Liana] person really is me then why am I here and not near the eruption's epicenter? back them I was in school when Mei-senpai awakened. Finally, the last problem is who is Fire MOTH? I never heard of them, and who is Dr. Mobius?

Damn it, is this a dream? a memory? or what exactly are these visions? ARgghh, why is it so confusing? my brain is melting.

"..ient is stable so she is moved to the ward to recover" A voice rings in my ear.

Whose voice is that? is it another vision?

"When will Liana woke up?" Another voice said, with some sobs in between, this time it is familiar, it was Mom's voice. I must have been in a coma due to the core transfer huh? Let's wake up and alleviate Mom's worry.

"Sadly we can't determine when she will wake up, but given that the honkai radiation emitting from her body has drastically decreased to safe levels, we can assume that she will wake up soon ... wait, I saw movements on her fingers" the first voice said.

I try opening my eyes, I feel my eyelids open but I still saw darkness.

"Liana!, I am so glad you are awake, I thought you are going to stay asleep for longer" Mom said in sobs as I felt a hand grabs my right hand and I felt water hitting my hand, perhaps mom's tears.

"Mom?"

"Liana, thank god you are awake." I heard a voice, this time it was Dad

"Nee-san, you scared us, you could have woken up earlier." Sirin's voice reached me.

"Queen Mother, is there any discomfort you are experiencing?" This time it is Avrora's voice.

I guess I am in a hospital ward surrounded by my family and the first voice I heard is the doctor's voice explaining my condition.

"Mom, dad, all of you, I am fine, I don't feel any pain at all, by the way, is it nighttime? or do you guys pull the curtains and turn the lights off? its dark."

"What do you mean Liana?" Mom said

"Wait you said that it is dark?" the voice that I assume is the doctor said

"Are you the doctor? yeah I can't see anything, its all dark." 

"Wait let me check your eyes" The doctor said

"My eyes?" 

"Is there anything wrong with her eyes doctor?" Dad said

"We will need to do some tests on her first, I will inform you of the result" The doctor said.

The doctors test a bunch of tests on me from lighting a flashlight to my eyes which I cannot see any light, to an MRI scan.

"Mr and Madam kaslana, it seems that unfortunately, your daughter has lost her vision" The doctor said

"You mean she is blind?" Dad asked, his voice is shaking

"No! Liana" Mom said as I heard her cry as she squeezed my right hand with her hands.

I see, I lost my vision, probably the burning sensation I felt is my eyes failing. I heard the door open.

"Siegfried, Cecilia, after seeing Liana's MRI scans, it seems that the part of the brain that is responsible for sight is burnt. Probably due to the absorption of the reason core causing massive amounts of honkai energy to attack that part of Liana's brain and burns it causing her loss of vision" A voice that I recognize as Einstein said. "But good news, it looks like your brain is actively regenerating, we detected tissue regeneration using honkai energy near that area of her brain, so perhaps ina couple of weeks, you will regain your vision Liana."

"Oh good, I'm fine with being blind temporarily" I said in a cheerful voice

Sobs are heard, probably from mom.

"I am sorry, the experiment is under my watch and things like this happen to you, we should have taken more precaution, it is our fault." Einstein said

"No, No, relax, I mean nobody knows what will happen, you already try to lower the risk as much as possible using those machines you hooked me up to, even if I got injured, I don't see an issue. A couple of weeks of being blind is not a big deal."

"Nee-san, are you an idiot? you are BLIND, how could it not be a big deal?" Sirin said

"Hey, as I said, it will just be a couple of weeks, right? I mean it's not like it is a permanent condition" 

"I feel like an idiot worrying about you nee-san, hmmph a stupid idiot who doesn't know how serious her situation is" Sirin said

"Hey stop calling me an idiot, idiot"

"~Bleeh, idiot nee-san, come catch me with your blind eyes"  Sirin said teasingly 

"Come here you brat" I tried to move my hands in the direction of Sirin's voice but I guess it is a far-stretched idea to catch her since I am still on the bed.

"Liana, Sirin, Stop fighting. Sirin, your nee-san is sick, stop annoying her, you too Liana, you are far older than Sirin, so you should be more tolerant of her behavior" Mom preached to both of us.

"By the way Liana, we found when you are still in a coma, that your eyes emit quite a sizable honkai radiation, it also glows golden like Sirin's eyes. I think we need to contain the radiation so that people will not get sick from it, so I and Tesla created a visor for you to wear. It is similar to how the glass in the experiment room work so it can block most of the honkai radiation while still being able to be transparent. We also added some features like a HUD and map which are displayed by the visor, it also has other displays that you can explore on your own after you regain your vision. The visor is powered by honkai energy so you can just directly supply power to it. It is also resistant to EMP." Einstein said as I felt the device is worn on me.

"Oh wow, you look like Amber" Mom said

"Oh yeah, same white hair, same golden visor, the only thing left is a nun dress" Dad said in agreement.

"Hello Mr and Madam kaslana, I am Camellia Kiana Kaslana, your new secretary and assistant, please feel free to contact me if you require any assistance." I roleplayed as if mom and dad are the overseer and I am Amber

"Pfftt, I will ask your assistance when I need them Camellia" Mom said as she tries not to laugh

"Hey Camellia, since you are my secretary, care to have dinner with me sometime? we should get to know each other." Dad said teasingly

"Mom, Dad is cheating with nee-san" Sirin said

"Siegfried" Mom said as she laugh at dad.

Overall, the atmosphere is light and happy now, to be honest, not having any vision for a couple of weeks is actually really scary, but I know that my family and friends will take care of me. Plus I have the visions problem think about. There are so many questions about those and I think the only one with the answers is Honkai-chan, the evil god.

A/N

Ok so this chapter is quite a long one, there are some parts that I made up like the PE's third eruption chain events since I don't know the canon events occurring in that time frame. I have almost no knowledge of PE's events other than from the fan wiki so probably some are a bit different than the original, but I'll try to at least get the main point similar. As always, if you find some weird plot holes or the like, you can comment and point them out to me. I write this story as a hobby and don't have the energy to proofread this on my own :). The entire story is built chapter by chapter so even  I don't know how I will end the story but I list any ideas that I have conjured up and try to fit them into the story. 

I am not a Native English speaker, so maybe some of you have some trouble understanding my writing, but I use Grammarly to help me fix some grammar issues so it should be not that bad. I also am not a writer and don't have any experience writing anything other than research papers so forgive my lack of flowery words and beautiful writing passages, especially on the Kevin confession part. I also am learning how to use words to describe the settings of the story such as the train part, but I understand if it is a bit hard to picture the train's situation after the crash, perhaps I need to do better to describe the image I imagine on my brain.

Also, there might be some gaps in between uploads here and there due to I being busy with other things and just not having any ideas or energy to proceed with writing the story. So thanks for your patience and support since it meant that some people enjoyed reading my writing style which is not really a professional style.
