Chapter 9 Mother?

After mom's scolding, Dad, Sirin, Avrora, and Bella arrive to check up on me.

"Are you ok Liana?" Dad said as he walked and stood beside my bed. "I got the news from Cecilia that you are awake"

"Yeah dad, I'm fine, I am not sick"

"Then why do you faint like that?" Sirin said as her eyes started to fill with tears. "I thought you died, like my friends back then"

"It looks like I was a bit tired and fell asleep in the hallway" I tried to lighten up the situation.

"Nee-san, you can sleep while you walk? so cool" Kiana, seated on the nearby sofa, jumped and got closer to my bed. "Teach me"

"Kiana, a normal person would not fall asleep when walking," Mom said to Kiana

 "It's fine, it's fine, other than talking to the will of the honkai nothing serious happened."

"You what?" Dad said in shock

"Nee-san, you've met that god?" Sirin asked, I forgot that she too must have met her.

"Yeah, have you met her before Sirin?"

"Yeah I met her on the moon, she was talking to me about stuff, but I don't really listen to her nagging" Sirin Shrugged

"Yeah, she is quite talkative, she basically made me unable to wake up for 2 days, prisoning me in that garden"

"What do you mean prison Liana nee-san? you are eating sweats and cakes, do they serve cake in prison now?" Kiana asks innocently. Damn this kid is a blabbermouth, I initially hope that only mom will know, now everybody knows about it.

"...." Everybody except Kiana and Mom is surprised.

"I must say nee-san, you are probably the bravest or dumbest people that has ever lived," Sirin said in disbelief.

"Hey! I am not stupid"

We continued the banter until Einstein, Tesla, Aunt Teri, Kira, and Niggurath come in, and mom and dad explain the situation to them.

"So, why is the will of the honkai contact you? Shouldn't it contact Sirin instead since she is this world's Herrscher?"

"I am also wondering about this, my princess, I never met this will of the honkai girl but shouldn't it connect to my queen?" Bella said

"Well you know, it is a bit sensitive, uhmm... she told me that she loves humans" 

"..." Again with the awkward silence, all of their faces show that they are trying to process what I am really saying.

"Whoa, whoa, you said that the one who is the cause of all this mess loves humanity?" Tesla's voice went a pitch higher, looks like it got her agitated. "Isn't it mess up?"

"Liana, are you sure that information is true?" Aunt Teri  said with disturbed facial expressions, instead, everyone is disturbed except Bella and Avrora but they are more concern about their queen than the humans.

"So actually the will of the honkai is the sea of quanta herself, and honkai energy is just a form of quantum energy that seeps into our world or [branch]. As we progress, our branch grows and displaces the quantum energy that is present there, it is like when a tree grows its branches, it is taking up spaces previously filled by air. Thus some of this energy seeps into the branch and become honkai energy." I explain with some simplification to the one honkai-chan said to me.

"I see, it makes sense, if we know that our world is a branch of the imaginary tree, and the medium that we grow is the sea of quanta, growing the branch will displaces some quantum energy thus it is understandable that it will seep into the world. But why does it turn into honkai energy? why is it poisonous to humans?" Einstein said as the others starts to nod their head in agreement with her statement.

"Well, I kind of forget to ask that, teehee~"

"Nee-san, isn't it the most important question?" Sirin said with a deadpan expression.

"I ask a more important question, why is the honkai present in the world"

"Don't you just answer the question Liana, the diffusion of quantum energy?" Kira responded confusedly.

"That is some part of it but, most actually comes from the sea of quanta actually exerting some force to the imaginary tree in the form of quantum energy that will seep through the branch, this is done because it will keep the order and time flowing in the branch if this force is eliminated, then our branch will turn into a sinking bubble universe and be destroyed when it reaches the bottom of the sea."

"...,  So like gravity?" Tesla ask

"You use the same analogy as honkai-chan did"

"Honkai-chan?" Cecilia asked

"Ah, it is just what I call her, calling Will of the honkai is too long and cumbersome, so I alternate from evil god or Honkai-chan."

"So this [honkai-chan] is the one who actually sustains the order of the world?" Siegfried ask.

"Dad, I never thought you will be so smart that you can actually understand correctly, I thought that you will just nod along and don't understand anything with your brain capabilities on the questionable side."

"You.." Siegfried tried to say something but was cut off by someone

"You're saying that the one entity that we thought was the cause of all evil actually is the sustainer of our world?" Tesla said with a higher tone.

"Yes, and she has been the one who [restart] our world every time honkai destroys us, I don't really get the grafting branches thing but basically she shoves the branch into other parts of the tree to continue growing, that is how she brings me to this time, by cutting my branch and shoving it to your branch"

"I see, does that mean that if this current world is destroyed, she will reset everything?" Niggurath ask.

"Yes, she will reset everything, and see if humanity will choose a different option, etc. In my specific case,  due to Otto forcefully splitting our branches to save Kallen, the branch is unstable and will die. She then cut our branches and experimented on what if she reset it not from the roots, but by transplanting it to another living growing branch elsewhere in the tree. The result? is a limited success, only Herrshers and divine key holders able to survive, so some of my friends like my world's Aunt Teri, and my classmate the first and third Herrscher are alive."

"Wait... THE FIRST AND THIRD HERRSCHERS ARE YOUR CLASSMATE?" Tesla said loudly as she glares at me "Is your world crazy? Is there a school for Herrschers?"

"Eh? didn't I say it before when I am explaining my origin?"

"That is an idea," Mom said while thinking, she has been quietly listening while holding the sleeping Kiana, perhaps the topic is too hard for her, surprisingly she does not wake up by our notices, how big are her deep sleep capabilities?

"I must applaud for your achievements Theresa, you have my respect to be able to enroll not one but three Herrschers in your school, maybe we should make the school now for this world Herrschers since it looks like you have the talent for it," Einstein said as she clapped her hands

"Hey, stop teasing me, I don't have the mental fortitude to withstand the chaos of taking care of Herrschers, don't compare me to the future me." Aunt Teri crosses her arms and tries to defend herself

"I never thought of that, now that I think of it, my world's Aunt Teri is a really dependable adult, I mean, the three of us have our fair share of havoc making and she always does the damage control"

"Uhmm, I am not sure whether to be happy since I am treated as an adult or to be frightened by my future self's mental fortitude." Aunt Teri trembled as she hug herself.

"So? what happened to the rest of your world's people?" Niggurath questioned, moving back into the original topic before we got sidelined.

"They died, well my world is a goner anyway, but she said that she won't do this again since it turns out not successful."

"Wait a minute Liana, if I piece all the information together, are you saying that we humans can't eradicate the honkai?"

"To some extent yes, if we stay on this imaginary tree, and continue to grow on the sea of quanta, honkai will still exist. The only way is to break free of the sea of quanta and move into the unknown, nobody knows what lies beyond the boundaries, even Honkai-chan doesn't know, she said only one civilization has ever reached independence from the sea but that brings another problem for them that Honkai-chan said to me"

"What is the problem?" Kira said

"Majority or rather all of their energy to break free of the sea and running basic necessities comes from honkai reactors, honkai energy doesn't exist outside of the sea, that means either they find a new energy source or die. Honkai-chan predicts that they died."

"That means that if we try to follow their footsteps, we might be facing a bigger danger than the honkai?" Einstein said

"Yes and I think that it is extremely dangerous, currently it is better to preserve the status quo and continue to suppress the honkai rather than going that route."

"I agree with you Liana, but numerous people died every day due to honkai" Aunt Teri said.

"Well, we can just upgrade our suppression right?"

"It is true, but it is not a long-term solution," Tesla said

"Sadly we don't have a choice."

Suddenly the door to the ward is open and Welt comes in

"I am sorry that I overheard your conversation outside, but I have a solution to this problem," Welt said

"You do?"

"Welt, are you serious?" Siegfried ask

"Yes, we can just make the humans be resistant to honkai energy"

What? why Welt of all people think that is a good thing? 

"Are you kidding me? you want to kill 99.9% of humans similar to how Kevin want to?" I screamed at him

"I am not saying natural immunity, we can research for a vaccine, we already have honkai suppression drugs so we can just build from there. Kevin's way of doing it is analogies as spreading a deadly virus around the world, and the ones to survive are the ones that have natural antibodies or can coexist with the virus, that is just stupid. But a vaccine is doing the exact same thing but minus the fatality part, sure some will suffer side effects and some will die but I reckon this is the best solution to our problems." Welt explains

I see, why do I not think of this??

"But are you sure that you can create this vaccine?" Siegfried said

"I don't know, but it is worth the try, if Liana's information is right, then this is the only route we can take, I am willing to gamble on it." Welt said

"Alright, I will arrange for scientists and engineers to start working on this project, Tesla, come with me." Einstein said.

"I am counting on you two." Welt said as the two of them leave the ward. "Then I am also leaving" Welt said as he too exit the room.

"My princess, does that means that your friends from your world are living here in this world?" Bella asked me

"Yes, I hope they are living well currently, I need to find them and explain the situation to them."

I decided to not stop Bella from calling me princess, all my complaints just entered her left ear and exit her right, I am tired of it.

"My princess? now that I think of it back then on the fields, I sense my queen's power in you, are you saying you are her child?" Avrora said, "My queen, who is your husband? how dare he touches my queen, If I find him I will crush him with my wind beam."

A/n: Sirin simps, watch out, Avrora is coming for you

"I am not married Avrora," Sirin screamed with a red face. Then she tells me about my story and origin.

"I see I get it now." Avrora nodded

"Anyways please not call me princess, it is weird that the [princess] is older than the queen and I am her elder."

"I see then perhaps I should call you Queen Dowager than," Avrora said innocently

"What? why does that idea even come through your head? I am her elder sister, not her mom"

"Mommy" Sirin said mischievously "Just let Avrora calls you whatever she wants"

"Hey, stop acting like you are my child, I know you are enjoying this you brat"

"Ziggy, I never thought I will be a grandmother at this young age" Mom said sadly to dad and lean her head on his shoulder

"Cecilia, no matter if you are a grandmother, you will always be a flower to me, I will love you no matter how long it has been" Siegfried tried to comfort her

"Ziggy..." 

"Mom, Dad, stop flirting, why do you guys follow along with them, help me teach Sirin a lesson"

Mom then cheerfully smiled at me

"I mean, isn't it fun? Maybe I should introduce Sirin as my granddaughter" Mom said cheerfully

"Grandmother, mommy is mean to me, help me." Sirin run to hide behind her legs and stuck out her tongue mockingly at me.

"Hey, you come here you demon" I move closer to mom and Sirin

Bella and Avrora blocked me and kneeled in front of me

"Queen Dowager, please forgive our queen, she is still a mischievous young lady, punish us instead." Bella said

"No Queen Dowager, I am at fault for not being able to accompany her for a long time, I am willing to be your servant as long as you forgive our young queen, please curb your anger." Avrora said

"You guys..." I don't know how red my face was, but I was really angry "I AM NOT HER MOTHER!!!!!!!!!"

Shigure and Kira's side

"Sigh, Cecilia-sama's family is as spectacular as her skills" Kira sigh

"Hahaha, you got that right, let's go before we are implicated in their family quarrels"

They both exit the room while Liana is trying to convince everyone she is not Sirin's mother.

Third person POV

'Manufacturing Vaccines is our only way of surviving, I hope that the vaccines are developed smoothly. More importantly, Liana's friends are in this world also, I hope that they don't join Schicksal or World Serpent, We must find them first, but how?' Welt thought to himself as he entered his room. He crouches in pain. 'That last fight with Sirin is taking a toll on my body, I can't utilize the core of reason, I need to keep it out of reach from Otto, should I give it to Liana for safekeeping?'
