Chapter 39

Chapter 39:  

"She said, it's been a little while now, what are we? Cause they said, if it doesn't die down, it's still playin'. I say, don't listen to a word that they say, cause I'm the one who's calling you baby, so baby, it's you and me!" Kendall sang, every so often looking at me and smiling. The next few lines, Kenneth and Kevin sang along with Kendall. "If we want, we call it love, cause I'm sure we're meant to be. There ain't no need to find a name for us, cause we both know how we feel..... It is what it is! Yeah, whoa. It is what it is." They sang all sounding like angels. We spent maybe three hours just listening to the guys sing. The last song that they sang was one of Big Time Rush's songs called "We Are." I've heard the guys singing it around and I've heard it with Kendall's CD, but this edition of it was more than words could explain.

"Thinkin', we don't wanna get caught up in over thinkin'!" Kevin sang.

"We only got tonight."Kendall sang back as if he was answering Kevin's singing.

"Moments, we gotta keep on livin' for these moments!" Kevin sang again.

"Cause this is our time." Kendall sang his eyes closed strumming down the strings of the guitar.

"Life's too short to sit and wait, for luck to come our way...light it up like fireworks, I wanna hear you say..." Kenneth answered both his brothers. Kendall then started playing faster, yet it was still soft and gentle.

"We are, we are!" Kendall called out.

"We are alive, and we are the light that's shining now, we are, we are! We are the reckless, you can hear us drowning out the sound. We are, we are! Young and dumb, always chasin' somethin'! We are, we are! Hearts like drums, you can hear us comin'! We are, we are!" Kendall and his brothers sang. Their voices, especially Kendall's brought an emotion out in me that I hadn't ever felt when I was with Kendall. I felt honestly blessed by God to be able to spend time with Kendall, to call him mine. I felt as if I was one of the luckiest people on the planet. Kathy must've saw the tears in my eyes as she reached over to grab my hand squeezing it and then gently letting go.

They finished the song as they said they were done singing for the time being. I breathed out a sigh and felt like I was on cloud nine. Kendall sat his guitar down and smiled at his family whom all were all smiling at him. "Enjoy the show?" He asked turning to me. I nodded and smiled at him playing with the hem of my dress. His teeth shown white as his dimples appeared on his cheeks.

"We're you always this amazing?" I asked him. He shrugged and leaned in to kiss me. His whole family 'oh'ed and 'aw'ed which made me blush before our lips met.
