37; the goodbye and the ocean

07:45, 4 May 2022

[Warning; smut scenes.]

Just to clarify; Elias can't seem to get out of the car when he pulls up outside of the Sherwood house. It's dark, but the lights are on. The Weber's car has gone, telling him it's just his family home before he reaches out to track body heat inside the house.

They're all in the living room, his mom and dad cuddled on the couch, his brother on the floor. Most likely on a pillow fort. Elias can't imagine going in.

"I have to head back to organise battle strategies. I'll be here in a few hours," Jasper murmurs, tracing the hand not holding Eli's, across the humans hair, trying to push it back from his forehead.

Elias turns to him, feeling sort of detached. "I've got human duties for a few hours. I can handle being alone," he vows, not entirely believing it.

Jaspers brows rise. "Really?" He asks, leaning forwards. His hands drifts to Eli's jaw, curving over it softly, feeling the softness of his skin and the pump of his fast heart.

Elias leans to him, any other thoughts washed away from his mind as he's face to face with Jasper. "You could tempt me," he whispers, moving, letting his nose brush the vampires. There's a dark allure to him, like always, he's always been the tempting one.

Jaspers adams apple shifts as he swallows, his hand slips to the back of Eli's neck and then he leans to connect their lips. It's slow, passionate, Eli's eyes shut and his mind slips into the feeling of pleasure Jasper can bring.

It shouldn't be like this- this powerful. A kiss, even tame and easy as this, shouldn't leave all his blood running south. Shouldn't have his hands gripping Jasper wide shoulders with a urgency that translates into, don't leave.

Jasper gasps into Eli's mouth as his mouth moves lower, sidetracking to his neck, sucking and kissing at the same time. The angles wrong, they're both leaning out of their chairs, heads brushing the roof, but it's still possible for the vampire bears his neck fully, allowing the human more room. Elias gets off on the power of it all. The taste of him, the way the vampires hands slide to his hips, rubbing and gripping harder than he should. Hell, even the reminder of how dangerous Jasper is- the texture of his scars against Eli's lips- makes the human start to harden in his jeans.

Then Jaspers shifts, his cold and strong hand palming Elias through his jeans- the power shifts and topples. Elias moans, his aim to please Jasper forgotten as the blond takes control of the situation. "Jasper-" Eli says tightly, struggling to breathe. It shouldn't be this powerful, he thinks again. Just a touch.

Jasper smirks, slides his hand off of Elias' groin just as he starts rocking into his touch. "Sorry," Jasper whispers, though he doesn't sound it that much. "You started kissing my neck, it wasn't fair. I had to do something."

Elias groans, glares- though it's hard to maintain any sense of anger when he has a boner- and leans back into his seat. It easier to think when they're distanced from each other. "I only kiss your neck because you play with my hair. You know why pulling my hair does."

Jasper grins, teeth flashing. "I have no clue what you mean," he says innocently.

"Traitor," Eli growls, though his cheeks flush. The last part of his sanity comes back, he groans with real annoyance. "Now I have to wait for this-" he gestures to his crotch, "- to cool down and then go inside. You know what kind of torture that is? All filled with arousal but not being able to do anything?"

The blond bites his lip to hide a smile. "I mean, you're more and welcome to sort your problem-" he gestured to Eli's boner like he just did, "-out here, but you'd have to do it with me watching," he says eagerly, darkly, relaxing in his seat like he's ready for Elias to have at it.

Eli's mouth goes dry. He considers it, how Jaspers eyes would follow him, track him with a eager appreciation. His presence alone probably making Elias come over the edge in a embarrassingly short time.

Then Eli's eyes narrow, the scene in his head only furthering the tightness in his boxers. "Do you think you could sit there and watch without touching me?" He asks, leaning forward slightly, a challenge over his smirking face, "as I moan and move my hand over my co-"

Jaspers hand slips over Eli's mouth. "You're going to have to leave," he pants, golden eyes alight, his own jeans tight on him, "or my restraint is gonna wear thin and your words are going to come to a reality."

Elias- after a few minutes of cooling down- gets out of the car laughing. He likes to think he won that round.

Eli's mood shifts down as he enters the house to spend time with his family. The normal- well, as close to normal the Sherwood's could class themselves- dynamics feel wrong somehow; especially knowing his other family are planning battle strategies miles away.

But it feels right as well, spending the night doing human things. Watching movies, making jokes, eating junk food. Or it should be, if he doesn't catch the way his dad keeps giving him unknown glances throughout the night.

Elias ends up taking Easton to bed halfway through Shrek when spotting the way the kids eyelids droop. Secretly Eli's glad with how exhausted he feels himself. He kisses his moms cheek, bids both his parents a goodnight, then goes upstairs.

Jasper isn't there, which makes a ache come to his chest. Elias ignores the panic, then moves to his bed.

He ends up going to sleep fully clothed, on top of the quilts- he sees the shine of his alarm clock telling him it's almost two in the morning, but then the inside of his eyelids wash away the image.

Someone starts shaking his shoulder, pulling him from his sleep. The alarm clock shines four am as he snaps his eyes open.

"Dad?" Eli questions, sitting upwards, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. David's hands still on his shoulder, his face holds a sad urgency Eli's never seen before. "What's wrong?"

That sadness spreads his lips into a smile. "I'm giving you your choice Elias," he whispers painfully. Eli notices then, in the dim light of his bedroom, there's two duffel bags packed near the door. "I've done everything for you, all you need to do is go."

Eli sits up in his bed straighter, "What? Really?" He says in shock- because he's been planning to go, soon, but now his dad helping lessens the guilt burdened on his shoulders.

David nods, "I don't want to see you die either," he sniffles, blinking back the tears, "and I know I'm the only one strong enough to say goodbye without begging you stay. And like you said, it's your decision."

"I know something else is going on too, something you can't say. Or won't. I know it has something to do with Jasper," he smiles, only slightly, when saying the boys name. There's no resentment there, just a smart cop like observation.

Elias opens his mouth- to defend himself, to reassure his dad, to lie, but David brings his hand up to stop him.

"I'm not going to ask, because some part of me knows I can't have an answer. Like you said, we'll never be able to understand you fully, but that's ok. We got to love you," he grabs his sons face, blue swimming into grey, somber washing over the two Sherwood's like the sun, "just keep us updated. Don't leave us in the dark."

David kisses his sons hairline without a answer, arms pulling around Elias tightly. The teen closes his eyes, trying to remember his dads scent, his touch, every moment together. "I love you, you've been the best son I could have ever wished for."

"I love you too," Elias utters, both men pulling back from each other at the same time. It feelsSurreal and Elias has an apology on his lips that he holds back- he wants this. He isn't sorry for his choice.

"Jasper is waiting for you outside," his dad tells, standing up from the bed. "And do me one last favour son? Don't wake your mom. She... she won't let you go."

Elias pauses, agony haunting him. He knows David's request comes from the right place- Cassandra couldn't, wouldn't be able to say goodbye. And it would be hard, but not as hard as seeing her eyes as she knows she won't see her son again.

So instead Elias stands, nodding. The weight of his mothers heartbreak on his shoulders. "I won't," he promises, holding in tears too. David smiles again, a knee jerk reaction the Sherwood men have to hide their pain, before leaving Eli to gather his things. "Dad?" Eli calls, stopping him. His face is poorly controlled, letting his worry show. "Don't tell her you let me go willingly... I don't think she will forgive you."

Dad nods back at him, already two steps ahead. "I'll keep it to the grave," he promises.

Elias', So will I, goes unsaid but not unknown.

Elias doesn't even check the bags, or the things he might have left behind. It's not important, he can buy anything he misses. What is important, is his brother. There's one task left undone, a final goodbye he's planned.

The nightlight to Easton's bed glows a soft yellow- it's supposed to be a moon light next to his single bed but the stickers have worn out overtime. Now it's just a small orb of yellow. Eli remembers buying it him when he was three.

Elias bends down, gazing at his brother with twenty different swirling emotions. Without meaning to he starts running his hand through his brothers tangled curls. Easton's light eyes flutter open.

"Elle?" He yawns, rubbing small fists against his eyes, "What's happening?" He asks, because despite being eight, something about his big brothers face frightens him. He's always been too smart.

"Easton," the teen sighs, voice breaking. He sits down on the floor, placing the gift box next to his brothers legs, "I'm going away for a little bit," he starts, unsure what to say next, how to explain. He's been dreading this part.

"Why?" The younger boy almost whines.

"I'm sick buddy," Elias quickly wipes the tear falling down his cheek, appearing stronger than he is, "and I can't get better, so I have to leave so mom and dad can't worry about me anymore."

The goodbye starts to set in for Easton. His bottom lips wobbles as he ask, "For how long?"

"You're not gonna see me again," Eli sniffles, looking away so he doesn't start bawling. Instead he picks the red space themed box up, digging around until he finds the leather string necklace.

"And you might not physically see me kid, But I want you to know I'm always with you," his hands shake as he places the necklace over his brothers head, the silver moon pendant hangs over Easton's heart.

"I'll be in here," Eli places his hand over Easton's necklace and heart, his other hand coming to rest on his own matching leather necklace- his pendant is the sun. "And you'll always be with me in here Easton."

"Brother promise?" The boy almost begs, holding up a little pinky.

Elias laughs, locking pinkies with him, the tears falling with every blink. "Brother promise."

He hugs the smaller boy, feeling his heart lodge in his throat. "I love you Easton," he mumbles, trying to make the moment last forever. To stretch indefinitely.

Sniffling again, he pulls away, slowly sliding his brother back down to the bed. "You can go back to bed now," he cries, taking in how Easton's eyes flutter, his hand clenches around the necklace. He imprints the image in his mind without permission.

Elias stands, picking the box up with him. He slides the few 'Easton' titled memory journals and leaves them against the boys nightstand. With a heavy heart, he forces himself to turn, to walk out the door and to not look back- because if he looks back he won't go through with his plans.

Elias doesn't wake his mother when he creeps in his parents bedroom. He simply walks over, tucks the covers that have slipped down her shoulder around her and memorises the features of the woman he'd called mom for most of his life.

I'm sorry, he mouths, needing to say it without waking her for his own sake. Just like he had with Easton, he walks out the room and doesn't look back.

The outside sky is turning from navy to lavender blue when Elias leaves the house. Jasper and his dad are leaning against the silver Volvo, it's a surreal sight. Elias walks to them, focusing on Jasper, on the strength the blond gives with just his presence.

"I'll call you soon," the grey eyed boy assures his dad as Jasper takes the duffel bags from him to place in the back of the car.

David rocks on his feet, gazing at his son with a serous look. "Remember what I said," he reminds, lips pressing together.

"I will," Eli says quietly- he wouldn't ever forget what he said. "Thank you dad, for everything," he grins, forcing himself to hide the sadness, "I left you and mom something, it's on the table." More journals, all of them filled with every possible memory he has of them.

David grins too, pulling his son in for one last hug- it doesn't last long. One second he's being embraced and the next the car door shuts and Jaspers driving off into the early morning.

Elias watches his house, no longer his home, for the last time. How different it looks from the first time he'd seen it, how different he feels about it. The first time he arrived at Forks, David stood on the front porch, waving them in eagerly, the very embodiment of excitement. Now, Elias watches as he gets smaller and smaller as they drive away and a small broken part of Elias' heart cracks, splinters and drifts away to the house. It'll always stay there, with his human family.

But the rest of it must go on, it has to. It doesn't beat purely for himself, but for the blond next to him too.

"I love you," Jasper tells the human as they're passing over Forks bridge, because he knows Eli needs to hear it. His cold hand is on Eli's leg, thumb rubbing circles on his jean clad thigh.

Elias turns to his soulmate, shoving the sadness down- a good ability he's learnt. Especially as those three words wrap around Elias like a hug, easing him back to a sane mentality, a happy one. He made the right choice.

"Pull over," he orders the blond- who does it even before Elias adds, "I haven't told you everything."

Jasper turns the wheel, the silver Volvo sliding between the space the concrete road starts and the forest begins. Once the cars no longer a obstacle of danger, Elias grabs both of the vampires hands and pulls them to his cheek, his words lodged, his mind lost. He just continues to look in Jasper golden eyes for a long time.

"Is everything okay?" Jasper asks, wiggling one hand from Eli's grip so he can brush his hair back from his forehead. Concern creases his features. "Elias, you know you can turn back, no one would hold it against you if you wanted to stay with your family, if you wanted to die with them instead."

So considerate, even if the decision will cause himself pain. Elias knows then, like he knows he can control heat, that he's made the right decision.

"I'm never turning back." He goes to tug at his scar nervously, but he's still holding Jaspers hand. The vampire gets tugged forward, refusing to let go of the human and they end up faced close to each other even more. Elias memorises Jaspers face in the moment, his mind slipping in lines of poems he'll write later on. A smile lingers on his lips.

"Rosalie made me realise how selfish I was," he starts, wincing accidentally. "I complained about how you loved and left me, how much that hurt me. And I was ignorant to the fact I was planning to do the exact same thing to you," a chuckle comes out mercilessly.

"I don't mind-" Jasper starts.

"-Shut up," Elias barks, a true glare working onto his face. "Jasper, I love you, but shut up," Those words burn right on his soul. Jasper smiles to himself in spite of it all. "I know you don't mind my decision, but that doesn't mean its the right one. I shouldn't end your life just because mine is."

Jaspers confusion melts away, the shock and hope lighting up his beautiful features in a way Elias hasn't seen before. The hand in Eli's hair curls, cradling his face gingerly.

"What are you telling me darlin?" Jasper asks, because the idea forming in his head will be cruel if it's wrong. The dream he's buried so hard is digging its way back up with a vengeance.

Elias smiles as he buzzes with poorly concealed nerves, "I'm saying sorry for the short notice, but you're sharing your bedroom with me for longer than a month."

That's it, that's all Jasper needs. Those words breathe life into Jasper in a way he's not felt before and he melts that life into the human boys mouth. Elias gasps at raw emotion he almost feels flow through him.

Elias kisses back with every bit of him he can. Their hands move around each other, the undeniable excitement of 'forever' leaving sparks onto the exposed skin they touch- neck, back, hair, under Eli's shirt as Jasper trails his cold fingers up his chest, feeling the warm pulse there.

The dark haired boys control blurs in the moment and he starts to rub his hands up Jaspers thighs, tongues meeting- theres a pushed down growl from Jasper and he separates them with a lot of effort. "Wait," he exhales, "wait, I have so many questions."

Eli's expression is dark, mischievous, just like his grin. His hand trails, tauntingly, up Jaspers thighs, his hip, torso, neck, jaw, all the way to his lips. Maybe it's the happiness he feels that fuels his confidence and makes his mutter, "Are you stopping me because you're confused of how I've planned my actions or because you're scared you will cave and actually fuck me this time?"

Jasper goes expressionless, his golden eyes turn to liquid. He moves, to quick for Elias to track, but suddenly Eli is on top of the vampire, knees awkwardly hitting the side of the seat, his ass on Jaspers thighs. Jasper gives him a dark look, pulls him flush by the collar of his shirt. Eli gasps, thinking it's a kiss he's aiming for, but he stops a centimetre from making contact.

They stay like that, hard and against each other, Jasper watching his reaction for a beat of a moment- teasing. He's fucking teasing Elias. Every-time Eli tries taking control, Jasper looses a ounce of restraint and pushes their boundaries- oh Elias is definitely going to use that from now on.

The human grins, shifts around to get more comfortable and ignores the way his heart pounds. "Tease," he sighs.

Jasper grins cockily, liking the game they're playing and how Elias might be a step behind but he's always quick to catch up. "If you must know," the blond corrects, brushing his hand through Eli's hair like he was a moment ago. It's a nice way to show affection, without being inherently sexual.ย  "Just because I'm happy you're going to stay with me forever doesn't mean I want to fuck you all of a sudden. I've wanted to fuck you the moment you walked into that classroom and sat next to me, darlin."

Elias does the most embarrassing things and whines. Jasper laughs, deep and real and so pretty, it makes Elias feel less embarrassed.

"And here I thought I was the horny one," he quirks, leaning into Jasper until his head rests on his shoulder. It's a weird resting position, but it feels nice when Jasper wraps his arms over Eli and cages him to his chest.

"You're the one jumping me all the time," the blond corrects, resting his chin on Eli's head. It's quiet, both boys thinking, cooking down from their arousal. "Your control is horrible, you're going to be terrible when you turn." His words are hinted in dark humour.

Elias wants to smack his arm can't be bothered to move, "Actually," he corrects, "I like to think I'll be normal with thirst. It's you who should be worried about being attacked."

His words sounds dirtier than they intend to be. Jasper laughs, sounding excited about that too.

"Don't laugh at me Goldilocks," Eli orders, his smile matching the other boys. He burrows his head into Jaspers cold chest even more.

"You make me laugh," he corrects, hand coming back to Eli's hair.

"Sure sure," the human murmurs, eyes slipping shut.

They stay like that for a while, Elias basking in the presence and coldness of the other boys touch. Jasper, under the light of the news, can't talk for a while as he thinks for the future.

Eventually, he whispers, "You're gonna stay with me forever?"

He sounds so happy, it makes Eli's heart warm. "You're never getting rid of me," the boy promises.

Elias is half conscious when Jasper moves him back to his own seat. Elias curls up, unhappy in the temperature change. It takes a while, at least twenty minutes of driving, before Eli really opens his eyes. They should be home by now.

"Where are we going?" He asks, yawning, uncurling from the seats. It's still dark, barely and Eli doesn't recognise the surroundings.

Jasper looks at him with a excited smile. "A surprise," he tells, speeding up. The expression on Eli's face is fearful, only because leaving forks means leaving all their problems behind. His family behind. Jasper reaches out, calming the human with just a touch and a few words, "we have time darlin and I want to celebrate the moment. I want you to remember this day."

Eli's touched at the thoughtfulness of his vampire. His body relaxes, allowing him to recline back in the seat, on his side, allowing his line of vision on Jasper. He spends the rest of the short drive memorising his features, as if he'd be able to ever forget them.

Jasper pulls the car into a unmarked dirt road, around them is green plush forest. It isn't anywhere Eli knows, but Jasper seems comfortable and confident. Elias follows him out of the car without a question.

Elias can smell something in the air, the scent not immediately jogging into his memory. It's just lightning from black to purple in the sky as Jasper takes the humans hand and walks them down a overgrown path further into the woods.

"Do I need to remind you I can't see as well as you?" The human reminds, after about a seventh trip over a tree branch.

His words make Jaspers shoulders shake in a laugh. "I'm aware," he swears, lifting Eli by the hips as a fallen tree comes into path. Eli's cheeks go red, which Jasper laughs at again.

It takes ten minutes, but Elias hears the sound he hasn't heard for what feels like a life time. Water. Waves- the scent in the air, it's salty. They're near the ocean.

Suddenly, it's Elias pulling Jasper down the path with a shit eating grin.

When the break the coverage of trees, they're standing over a small cliff side. There's a multiple sets of wooden stairs, leading to a sandy beach shore. Elias stops, looks down towards the lapping grey water against the shore, all the way out until the sea meats the skyline. The suns only just colouring the sky, it's still dark- but it's beautiful.

Jasper wraps his arms around Elias, enjoying the reaction the humans face makes. "I thought you should see the ocean, one last time when you're human, so you can compare it's beauty when your senses are better. When you're fully capable of taking in its picture, you'll thank me."

Elias finds it so hard to swallow all of a sudden. His gratitude towards the blond is stronger than the waves crashing against the shore.

"How did you even find this place?" Is all he can ask, turning to look how beautiful Jaspers shines in the fading moonlight.

Jasper smiles, sadly, but from old pain, not from this moment. "I used to run here, to be alone when I got frustrated with my lack of restraint. I'd swim out until I couldn't smell any human blood, lie backwards to see the starts and imagine what the future would hold. If I'd get better with my thirst, if I'd ever meet my mysterious mate. If I'd ever be truly happy. When I met you, I forgot all about this place, it's only just occurred to me to show it you."

He leans into his frozen mates space, pressing a short kiss to Eli's lips. "I have you to thank for all three of them."

"You don't have to thank me," Elias mutters, overwhelmed in feeling. Jasper seems to understand that, since he tries reading the human- his eyes twitch, giving him away- but he can't grasp a single emotion. It makes it easier on him when Elias gives him what he's feeling by saying, "I'm giving up a lot Jasper, to be with you. But I'm gaining so much more."

Jasper grins crookedly, the words thank you, written along his features. If he says them, Eli will shout jokingly, "don't thank me you weirdo," so instead he leads his human to the path towards the stairs. "Let's swim."

โ€ขโ€ขโ€ข

Their clothes get forgotten on the beach, except boxers. The last thing he needs is someone coming- unlikely- and he having to run out of the ocean stark naked.

"At least the streaking through the streets story will have some truth to it," Jasper had grinned as he pulled Eli's shirt off. Eli's couldn't help the way his head had thrown back with laughter.

Elias can't feel the coolness of the waves, but being submerged in them, their cold water lapping against his skin as he swims, is nice enough. He can feel Jaspers touch though, that's cold, even more so since he's in water. Elias shivers every-time they brush against each other as they swim- he blushes every-time he catches a sculptured part of Jaspers skin showing, decorated in scars and drops of water and the light of the rising morning.

For being on his lap only an hour ago, it's feels new and shy to see him like this. Open and proud and touching at Eli's like it's a force other than his own want that makes him come and wrap his arms around Eli every chance he gets. Maybe it is- Elias gets like that sometimes. As if there's a higher power that taunts Elias into needing to feel Jaspers cold against his skin.ย

They drape themselves on the shore after they've swam, the sand and water sticking to them. They're shoulder to shoulder, Elias is panting, his eyes on the cloud lined sky. He's checking, like always, around them Incase anyone comes to ruin this moment. There isn't, there's no heat around them other than himself, but it's a habit he has to protect Jasper.

Jasper asks then, "when did you decide?" And Elias rolls on his side, watching the blond with scorning eyes. It takes a while, the story, the moment he realised he can't leave Jasper again. Elias starts laughing at Jaspers reaction when he says that Carlisle knows already- everyone does but him- and how Carlisle has been making plans. None of them can do it, technically, because if any Cullen bites a human the treaty is broken. War starts.

They'll have to move on and Bella isn't ready for that. Bella needs more time since she agreed to Edwards terms and Elias can't do much recently, but he can give his sister more time. So instead, effective after the battle with the newborns, he, Jasper and Carlisle will be travelling to the Denali coven. One of them will do it- it's the least they can do since they refuse to fight with the Cullens.

"So this week? You'll be turning this week?" Jasper whispers, almost... giddy. There's a glaze to his eyes, a shine to his smile. Elias could sit there and watch him all day.

"I wish I could be the one to bite you," the blond murmurs... and yep, it's sentimental, but it also gets turned dirty in Eli's mind and sends blood straight to his cock.

He has to run back into the ocean to cool down. Jasper gets up lazily, following after him with laughter louder than the waves.

It's as he's floating in the water, the sky a light shade of blue now, when Jasper asks Elias. "What's your nightmare about Elias?"

...Eli blushes, remembering the start of it. Jasper's flush against his chest, kissing, his mind blaring saying this isn't right. It feels right, but it's wrong. By the time Jasper leaves back into the house, Elias turns to the woods and Victoria is there. Promising if Eli dies and it's not by her hand, she'll get her revenge on Jasper instead.

And Jaspers is so calm, so neutral, to the explanation. He's in soldier mode, his arms are secure around Elias' middle, keeping them afloat, until Eli reveals in a whisper, "She and I, we go up in fire and I don't mind burning, dying, for you. But I have this horrible, soul destroying image in the end of my dream. You, standing in the ashes, calling out my name, trying to find me."

Jaspers face cracks, splits into a snarl, his eyes are more fire than Elias has ever seen them. "She won't touch you," he swears, an oath and a curse, "I'll kill her before she gets to you. I swear Elias, I'll protect you with everything I have. No one touches what's mine."

Then he'd leaned and kissed Elias, full of every promise he couldn't say, full of the passion they both share to protect each other. Elias felt his body start to warm, to burn in a good way, as he wrapped his legs around the blonds hips, pressed them chest to chest and kissed and kissed. There was no stopping this time, no restraint.

Elias wanted it all, every spec of cold from his body covering his own. He wanted Jasper to push inside him, to mark him and make him gasp, he wanted to bruise and the pain and the pleasure.

"Not yet," the vampire warned, a true warning that it was too much for his restraint. The whine that slipped Eli's teeth was bratty, but Jasper swallows it with a grin and more kisses.

Then Jasper was pulling them to shore, the two boys a tangle of lips and hands and pleasure. Jasper falls into his back first, pulling Elias on top of him- Elias is burning now, not even a fleck of water left of him. It transfers to the vampires body, warming him too, it makes Jasper moan and gasp mid kiss.

Elias pauses, gauging the reaction. He lets more heat radiate from him, let's it wrap around them in a bubble and sink into Jaspers skin. He grips Eli's hips tighter, bucks his hips, rubs himself against Elias. Oh, what a feeling.

Elias leans over, letting the heat rinse over Jasper, rocking his hips against the other boys cock, the friction making his head fall to Jaspers shoulder. He takes control, takes it fast and hungry like he wants, the pure pleasure of just rocking together, the rubbing of Eli's cock sending spark and gasps out of him.ย

Jasper flips them without warning, kneeling between Eli's open legs. There's a dark look in his eyes, a smirk on his lips, the words "I'm the one in control," come to Eli's mind even without Jasper saying it. Elias feels exposed, vulnerable, on edge, all in the right ways. He didn't even think that was possible.

"Please," the humans whines, reaching for the vampire. Jasper complies, but slower this time.

He dusts both hands out, trailing up Eli's calf's, his thighs, the cold he leaves in his wake making Elias arch and cry out. He palms Eli's cock for a moment, wanting to reaction, the warped moan Eli let's out, but then carries up, past his rapidly rising chest and towards his throat.

He grips it at the sides, lightly, teasingly, making all of Elias stop. Jaspers smirking now, especially as he says, "I love you."

Eli's eyes narrow. He hooks one leg around the back of Jaspers thighs and brings him close, "if you love me, make me cum."

Challenge accepted. "Lie back down then," he orders sternly. Eli follows instantly and Jasper follows him down, his mouth moving along the humans, tasting and kissing as he sets the rhythm of their cocks rocking against each other. Eli's clinging to him, following the momentum, one hand between the other boys shoulder blades pressing Jasper closer and the other wrapped in his silky hair. One of Jaspers hands is on Eli's throat, feeling each breath, each gasp and moan vibrate over his fingers. The others on Eli's hip, guiding him and keeping him under control as their pleasure builds.ย  Cold and warmth linger on their skin, battling.

Elias moans, moving his lips to Jasper neck to start sucking. Jasper rocks harder at the feel of his tongue, his eyes slipping shut. The Smokey scent of Eli is distorted by the ocean, it makes his mouth dry and his stomach clench.

Then Jasper does something unexpected, he leans down and sucks on Eli's neck. Too harsh, too much teeth, pain flares up but it adds to pleasure. Perfect. Elias locks up, moans his lovers names, which only encourages the vampires rhythm and his sucking. "Jasper, I'm gonna-"

"-come for me." He encourages.

It's the for me that does it. All of this; his body, his mind, his soul, his cock- hell even Eli's own pleasure- is for Jasper. The human moans lowly- from the feeling of belongings solely to Jasper- and the burst of arousal that sends him coming with his back arched and Jaspers name the only thing tinting his tongue.ย

Jasper watches his expression, the relief, the arousal, the love. Eli's lips are red and swollen, his necks bruised and so is his hips. Jasper thinks he's glorious as comes undone. Especially as Eli watches Jasper only, repeating his name, gaining pleasure just from him.

Elias tugs Jasper down lazily to kiss him, the only thought that's left in his mind to make him cum too. Eli's teeth bite Jaspers lip, warmth surrounds the blond with a new encouragement, sinking straight the bone and Elias wraps his legs around the blond to grind on him. It's a overload of sensation, Jasper moans into the humans mouth, making him smile and Elias whispers, "I love you too Jasper."

Jasper cums, rocking into Eli, with his scent, warmth and mouth claiming him. Elias watches him with glazed grey eyes and a happy heart.

Jasper falls into the human, who wraps his arms around him without a thought. He's breathless, Jaspers relaxed in a way he's never been. It's perfect.

"You must have done that before, you're too good," Elias mocks, fingers twisting stands of wavy blond hair at the nape of Jaspers neck. He knows he hasn't done that before, but he can't help but tease.

Jasper stretches out, relaxes back into Eli's warmth, very much a panther impersonating a lazy house cat. "Only in my dreams with you," he mocks.

There it was, their matching sharp grins as they laugh.

They spend another hour just laid there, holding each other.

Jasper isn't even watching the road, which should be worrying, but Eli is used to it now.ย  "Thats a bad bruise," he worries, scanning Eli.

Eli has the visor down, his heads stretched to the left as looks in the mirror. There's a purple bruise decorating the side of his throat, some light teeth marks line it.

"I think the kids in this century call it a hickey," Eli calls, poking the thing, thrilled with the slight pain that comes. Maybe he is a masochist after all.

Jaspers hand tighten on the steering wheel. "Elias," he warns.

"Jasper," the human mocks back, giggling. Jasper doesn't join, so Eli carries on with a grin, "come on, it's not even bad and it's not like you're swinging me by the neck-"

"-Don't say that-"

"-You know even human couples can leave bruises?" He tells him, watching as the guilt slowly easies away from him. "I mean I kind of like it, every-time I feel it, I'll remember you between my legs."

Jasper shifts in his seat, looking back to the road and towards Eli. If he was human, Eli imagined he'd be disheveled. "Don't work me up now darlin, we're almost home."

Oh he so does, but he decides to not push his luck.

Carlisle, Esme and Alice are waiting on the porch steps when Jasper pulls up. Alices almost shines as she pulls him out the car- Elias isn't sure if it's because he's moving into the house or because she sees his disheveled appearance. Probably both.

Thank god the collar of his shirt hides the hickey.

"Come on!" She almost squeals, "I've brought you some things for your bedroom, I think you'll like them," she gushes, pulling him by the hand to the house. The three other vampires laugh good heartedly.

"Welcome to the family Eli," Esme kisses his cheek in passing, softly squeezing his free hand. "We'll see you tomorrow, when Alice has finally stopped showing you her purchases."

He opens his mouth to thank her but Alice drags him a little harder. He manages to send her a thankful look over his shoulder to the three- the warmth in his chest expands as he sees Jasper is standing at the car with the softest of looks on his face.

Alice didn't buy a few things. She practically brought a god damn shop. And not a small one. Elias stands around Jaspers small room- small for the Cullens standards, still bigger than his old room- and there's gift boxes everywhere.

"Really Alice?" Jasper deadpans as he walks into the room, the two duffel bags perched under each of his arms. He steps over a box of clothes and places them onto the bottom of the sofa bed in the left of the room.

"Don't ruin my fun," she growls at him, picking up expensive looking black marble vase, showing it off to the shocked human. "What about this?"

Eli's mouth spits out the first thought he has. "Why the fuck would I want a black vase?"

She pouts, thinks about it, then agrees solemnly. "Fine."

It goes on like that for a while.

Elias ends up dragging Jasper to the bed, resting back to chest on the vampire, the blonds arms wound over Eli's stomach. If it isn't for the comfortable position and the genuine happiness Elias feels for being so easily accepted in the home, he's sure he would have told Alice to beat it.

He almost does when she pulls out a long black silk robe and tries putting it in the closet. The insults gets mixed together as Elias laughs, loudly, extremely mockingly.

"You've decided to stay with me for eternity," Jasper whispers in the humans ear when Alice begrudgingly puts the robe back. Jaspers lips sparking cold down the boys ear as they brush his skin. "You have to get used to Alice like the rest of us."

"I'm not wearing a gay ass robe," Eli grumbles, sinking into the vampires embrace, eyes shutting as sleep calls to him, "No matter how terrifying Alice can be."

Elias is so tired that later on when he strips off his jacket and shirt- trying to get comfortable- he jumps in shock when Alice appears next to him, peering at his neck.

"I knew it," she gushes, eyeing Jasper- who's got a fucking great poker face. Eli is jealous.

"Don't say anything," Elias warns, yawing, "he's already having a panic attack over it."

Alice's gold eyes widen almost comically. "Oh, can I try cover it? I can never get makeup to sit right on vampire skin when I practise."

Elias snuggles into Jasper yet stretches out in a angle that makes his neck visible to her.ย  "Just...don't wake me."

Elias later that afternoon- the suns still up, shining through the windows- to the sound of the bedroom door slamming open. He jolts, up and away from Jasper, his vision blurry as he scans to where a big bulky figure stands at the edge of the sofa.

"Come, come! It's time for fighting with the wolves," Emmett shouts in a laugh.

Eli's heart drops, his disorientated mind not understanding. He actually looks at Jasper, but he's glaring at Emmett. Then it clicks- battle strategies. Emmett find this even funnier. "Ha, should have seen your face!"

Elias whispers to the blond, "Kill him for me."

Jasper doesn't move a muscle, but he does look at Eli with light eyes. "I think if I did you'd feel guilty," he tuts.

He shakes his head, dark hair curling onto his forehead. "Maybe in fifty years, right now, not so much."

Emmett leaves, still laughing. Knowing it's time to actually get up, Eli swings his legs over the couch and goes to walk to the bathroom.

He isn't sure what it is- still being half asleep, the pain that flares in his head, or something else- but his legs give out the same moment his vision swims. He drops to his knees- or he should have- but Jaspers lean and long arms catch him.

"Elias?" He calls in panic, slowly setting them both on the floor.

Elias is still trying to blink properly, his head swimming. "I'm fine, I'm fine, it's not, I'm just dizzy, I have a warning, the cold," he's slurring his words now, they're making sense- until they ice starts to form at his fingertips. It feels like spiders crawling on the inside of him, leaning trails of snow in his veins. He shivers, uncomfortable, panicked. His eyes meet Jaspers concerned ones as he starts whispering, "ok yeah, coldness. There's the coldness. Weird."

When he 'wakes', so to speak, everything hurts. He's had seizures before and he's used to them. This one feels different. Usually he's just tired- but this one feels like he's been ran over by a bus...then his remains have been eaten by ravens. Or something terrible along those lines.

He blinks open his eyes, seeing better now. His head thrashes- like a bat to the skull kind of pain- but he's more bothered about how agonised Jasper looks. He's split between gazing in concern at Elias and watching Carlisle, who's also sat on the floor next to them.

It's so funny, seeing him on the floor, Elias almost laughs. Especially since he's watching the clock on his wrist, timing how long the seizure has lasted.

He kinda looks like one of those old movie actors, timing the fallen maiden, checking for a pulse and not finding one before sadly announcing, 'time of death, five pm.'

Eli says the first thing that comes to mind to crack the silence. "If he pronounces me dead, I've got some shocking news for you."

Him talking makes Jasper sag in relief- Eli must have come round at some point and not spoke.

"Elias?" Carlisle checks, or sounds like it. Elias turns at the sound of his name, humming.

"Can you tell me your full name, your birthday and where you are?" Carlisle speaks clearly and calmly, his eyes tracking all of Eli's reactions.

"My names Elias Sherwood, my birthdays on the thirteenth of august and I'm in Forks, Washington." The words are robotic and true and worrying. Eli's dark brows pinch together, "why are you asking this?"

Carlisle and Jasper share a look, concern dancing between the two. It's Jasper who speaks eventually, "you had a seizure and when you woke you were confused. You couldn't remember anything, you didn't recognise your own name. You had another, but I guess it's a lapse in memory from the trauma, because you remember now."

He looked towards Carlisle, waiting for him to deny the guess, but he was still doing little tests on Elias. Checking his pulse, checking his pupils and their reaction to light.

Elias swims in the news for a moment. He can't remember any of that. "Well shit," he sighs, "that's a bad sigh right. Confusion? Old people get that before they die. They start trying to cook turkeys and going for dentist appointments even though they don't have teeth anymore."

"Elias," Jasper sighs, eyes closed. It's a usual occurrence when Eli says something he can't process.

"What? They do?" Elias laughs, finding his reaction funny.

"I think," Carlisle speaks, clearing their little conversation. He puts away the tools he was using- his medical bag is next to Eli on the floor. Eli didn't notice that. "It a lapse in memory, nothing more. I could do tests, but with everything going on right now-"

"-no tests, I'm fine," Eli assures, going to stand up, even though it feels like his bodies been through war. Jasper helps, which makes him flush. When he's up straight, he eyes Carlisle and cheekily asks, "Breakfast?"

Carlisle let's out a little laugh. "I'll make you something, please try and rest until we leave." He brushes his hand over Eli's head, pushing back the curly hair there, before leaving.

Before Jasper can say anything, Elias beats him to it. "Three days," he declares, "I've got three days until I turn. I can last that long."

Jasper nods, willing the words to be true, then pulls Elias into his chest for a hug. "I thought I lost you darlin," he whispers into the humans skin.

Elias holds him tighter, "you'll never lose me, my love."

Esme loves the chance to cook. When he and Jasper finally make it downstairs, She cooks him a very late breakfast the same time Emmett and Nate talk endlessly to Elias about their predictions of him turning.

Apparently they'd been keeping them in a for a while- ever since Elias initially told Carlisle about his plan a few weeks ago, before graduation. The day he chose one bucket list, his fate as vampire.

Rosalie had even smirked a little when she found out her lecture had made Elias re-think his entire existence- then she promptly left the room Elias had been in, as if she didn't like him. Elias had grinned to himself, hoping it was a few steps into the right direction of becoming friendly.

Edward arrives with Bella just as Elias is washing his dishes. He refuses to let anyone do that- no matter how much Esme offered- and Bella is hardly around for two minutes before pulling down the collar of his shirt to peer at the bruise.ย  "What's on your neck?"

For fuck sake is there something on his face that tells people he's hiding something?

Elias doesn't say this of course, he manages to keep his composure- and instead throws the attention to the blond who's sat on the kitchen table, still worriedly gazing at Eli. "Is it a acceptable answer to say I got into a fight with a leech and lost?"

Jasper blinks, realising a little too late it's a taunt. He narrows his eyes as Edward laughs. "No, it's not," he huffs.

Elias laughs too, nudging Bella, asking her about her day. It's easy and normal and a little peace, before reality kicks them in the ass.

โ€ขโ€ขโ€ข

"Again!" Emmett bellows, up on his feet instantly, chest heaving as he glares at Jasper across the clearing in the woods. Elias winces back to the present, worry building in his stomach causing his fingers to twitch.

They'd been there for an hour already and Jasper hadn't lost a single brawl, he hadn't even been struck. Elias believes in his ability to survive, yet the mental image of Jasper feeling pain, getting hurt, sends a wild protective part into overdrive.

It makes Elias lose every logical part of himself- he knows if anything ever touches Jasper Elias will step up and well, lose it. Even if the person is twice the size of him, like Emmett.

God give mercy on anyone who even tries to hurt Jasper, Eli thinks, eyes tightening as he watches the vampire fight, because I sure as hell won't.

Edward laughs, the sound building in his chest. Elias snaps out of his head, looking away from Jasper and to where Edward and Bella are next to him.

"Sorry," Eli chides, grinning at the mind reader, "I'm getting carried away, aren't I?"

Bella sends them both a curious look, especially as Edwards grin matches the humans. "It's extremely normal in mates," he assures, eyes sliding to Jasper, "he's the exact same about you, even more so."

"You pair of fools," Bella huffs, understanding now. She's smiling however, trying to hide it in the collar of her jacket.

Elias throws her an incredulous look, "don't pretend if Edward could hear your mind he wouldn't find the exact same thoughts."

Bella blushes, confirming his theory. Edward looks almost smug as he pulls the female into his side, but the humour disappears as all the vampires turn to the east. His power kicks in, his radar a little shorter than vampire senses, when he feels the warmth of the bodies coming to the clearing. Elias can feel the tension as he's plunged back into the problem facing them all.

He crosses the clearing to be near to Jasper just as Edward announces, "They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms."

Jasper pulls Elias to his chest, his body humming in tension. Elias leans him, looking to the woods as the werewolves filter through. Elias marvels at their size, forgetting it since the last time he saw them. To be fair, he was too busy fighting.

"They came, That's what matters," Carlisle coaxes on a neutral atmosphere, coaxing Elias into calm. It's hard not to follow his lead. He he turns to Edward, "Will you translate?"

Edward nods, so Carlisle takes a step forward.

"Welcome," he bids nicely, his arm waving towards Jasper, body tense yet ready, arms holding onto his mate. "Jasper has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them."

All eyes are on jasper, on Elias. The way they're standing. Eli feels his heat read up in retaliation the same moment Jasper stiffens- no wolf looks happy at the paring. The fiery human and dangerous vampire.

The unease grows as the silence stretches amongst them. Eli scans the wolves, trying to remember who is who. He knows Sam is the largest black one- the alpha. The others he doesn't know, other than Jake and Jace.

They are at the front of the group, closet to the Cullens. The sight of the sandy blond wolf makes the sides of Eli's lips twitch. He twitches his brows in greeting, making Jace huff.

"They want to know how the newborns differ from us," Edward asks for them, eyes twitching as he looks at Sam.

"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human bloodlingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life," Carlisle explains, then steps backwards, nodding towards Jasper.

Eli's heart seizes as Jasper lets go of him, taking lead of the lesson. He looks uncomfortable in front of the wolves- Eli knows it's because the soldier in Jasper doesn't know how to fight them as well as he does as his own kind. That and he's never been one for the spotlight.

"Carlisle's right," Jasper speaks clearly, deeply, "That's why they are created. A newborn army, doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them." Hes talking from experience now- Eli shivers.

"The two most important thingsto remember are, first. Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly." The mental image makes a line of mumbled growls come from the wolves and makes Elias wince.

Jaspers eyes slide carefully to him, assessing him for hurt before he looks back at the wolves. "The second, Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that," his tone turns to sure, "And you will lose."

Jasper turns swiftly, trekking past the Cullens and to the open space behind them, "Emmett," he calls in a bark, his stance stilling.

Emmett rushes to stand almost thirty feet across from Jasper, his large frame vibrating in excitement. "Don't hold back," Jasper directs, smirking.

"Not in my nature," Emmett boosts.

Then he charges, speed like a tiger but his attack as big as a bear. Jasper doesn't even try to move, he squares his shoulders and meets the attack head one. The sound as their bodies hit is like thunder, Eli jumps even before Emmett throws Jasper feet away.

But the blond lands in a crouch, as if he expected the move. Jasper runs again, quicker than Emmett, Eli's human eyes hardly keep up. Its like Jaspers body has no more substance than a ghost.

Eli's able to see when Emmett swings a strong arm for Jasper, too much power, too frustrated at being dodged. Jasper curves around Emmett, his own lean arm slamming the bigger vampire to the floor in a swift and efficient movement.

"Never lose focus," he smirks, stepping away from Emmett.

Elias watches intently, hardly noticing the wolves hushed growls and rumbles as others pair up to fight. Jasper walks around each brawl, arms bent behind him, back straight. He'd mutter things they could do better, things for the wolves to note.

Elias would be lying if he said he didn't feel an ounce of pride for him. Jasper survived all those battles and the manipulation of Maria- that name sends heat barrelling around Eli's body- it shows clearly in his stance, his eyes.

Eli's thoughts start turning dark again as he thinks of Jasper, red eyed, in pain, somewhere south, having to kill because he doesn't know any other way of life. Elias vows then, watching Jasper, that he'll never let the blond turn back to that person, to that life.

He'll also burn Maria to ashes if he sees her in his immortal life.

Elias feels the heat of one of the wolves moving to him before soft fur brushes against the side of his body.

"Hello Jace," Eli greets, turning to the wolf. He lifts a hand, running it through the long multi shaded fur against the boys bowed head- it has to be bowed since he's taller than Eli by a good five inches.

Jace makes a huffing noise, pink tongue rolling out the side of his open mouth. A hello.

"Stupid," he calls the wolf, who blows out a large breath of air into the humans face, pushing Eli's dark hair back from his forehead.

But exhaling means inhaling, and Jace winces- well, as close to wincing he can do as a wolf.

"Yes I know, I stink," Eli rolls his grey eyes, patting Jace's head twice. There's humour in the wolfs dark eyes, normally Eli would feel the same, but the situation they're in makes it hard to stay amused for long.

"Will you be careful with this army?" He checks , knocking his shoulder agains the wolves side, "Cos' whilst I swear at you all the time I do care for you and if you get hurt I will also kill you."

The wolf huffs again, his breath running over Eli's face- who jumps back with a laugh, "dumb blond, look who stinks now," he scoffs.

There's a short grumble from their left. Elias looks up at Sam with narrowed eyes, almost knowing he's scowling despite the fact his midnight fur hides most of his wolf expression.

Jace sends Eli a wolfy grin before going to join his pack in leaving the clearing. Nate appears then, taking the spot the werewolf was just standing.

"You just missed Alice fighting," he teases, pushing a strand long inky hair behind his brown ear. "She kicked my ass- such a little monster."

"I don't have to watch her fight to know that," Elias hums, nudging his elbow against the boys cold ribs. "You missed her do a five hour shopping show last night."

"Oh I missed it on purpose," Nate chortles, "I picked my hunting night very specifically."

"Dick," Elias grumbles, leaving the boy so he can go to Jasper- who's across the clearing, an almost shy expression on his face as he speaks to Bella.

Elias catches snippets of the conversation way before Bella says in shock, "Alice saw you coming?"

Alice appears next to Elias from almost nowhere. "I saw them both," she corrects, looking at the two with proud eyes- eyes that know them both longer than they have her. "A thousand scenarios, different places, years, relationships. But those two were destined to meet from the start. As Elias likes to say, destined to meet, but their future rested for them to choose."

Bella stares at Eli in shock- he had forgotten to mention that part to her, or any part of Jasper story. It was Jaspers story, after all, Eli has no right telling it so lightly, even to his best friend.

"It's just luck I appeared the same moment you did Bella," Elias tells her as he stops in front of Jasper- who cradles the boy to his body like he usually does when Eli's close enough. "Just in time too, I heard Jasper was getting bored of waiting."

"Don't lie, you make me sound a monster," Jasper chides darkly, squeezing the boy, "Though I'll admit, I don't know what monster I would have turned into if I didn't know all my efforts of a normal life would lead me to him." His lips meet Eli's hair for a kiss.

The adoration in his words set Eli's body alive in warmth. "Normal," he snorts, "nothing about you, me or any of this is normal," the lightness in the banter is clear.

"There's nothing normal, but you wouldn't change it," Bella sighs, giving her best friend a happy look- as if she is happy he is, despite all of the shit going around them, the darkness.

All of them could see where the light is, where the family is, what they are fighting for.
