"Im back, princess!" Dad came through the door to my room. I smiled and jumped up.

"Dad!" I put my arms around him."How's my little girl?" He let go of me. I haven't seen him in a few days. Yes a very little time but I'm such a fathers girl. I've always been close to my dad.

I'm always by my dads side. I'm always his first priority. He's always mine."Negan, we got some things from the hilltop, your daughter here did a very good job at collecting this time around." Fat Joseph told him.

"That's my girl! Oh do you make me proud." Dad nuzzled my head with his hand. I smiled widely.

"Got some pretty good guns." My life goal was to always make my dad proud. So far I always have.

"Yeah? You didn't go out the sanctuary other than that time, right?" Don't get me wrong, I love my dad, but he was just so damn protective.

He never let me outside of the sanctuary without his permission. Of course I always find a way to sneak out without him knowing.

"Of course not." I lied. I just loved the risk. I loved being out in the world, even though it was dying.

"Good. Would you do me a favor and take Lucille into my room, please?" He handed me the bat that was named after my mom. She got killed right infront of my eyes.

"Yep." I took ahold of the bat and walked it into my dads room, laying it along the bed.

I peered to the photograph on the nightstand. It was a picture of my mom, my dad and I maybe 8 years ago. I'm only 15 now but that sure seems like longer than 8 years because I had to grow up so fast.

I sighed and left his room, seeing a lot of people getting to work since my dad is back. When he's gone, I'm in charge. Usually I threaten them to keep quiet and I'll let them relax while he's not here and I do the work myself since it's not much.

That's usually when I sneak out when he's not around. When he's around I sneak out when he's either busy or sleeping.

But these people are just as afraid of me as they are my dad. We were Negan and Alexa. We are extremely powerful.

"Alexa." Dad called my name.

"Yes?" I walked along his side as we walked through the sanctuary.

"The alexandrians. Have you heard anything on them?" He looked at me. Right. The alexandrians.

"Nothing other than they took out south sanctuary." I pulled my gun out of my jeans."I can go handle that if you want." I added, loading my gun.

"No way, princess. It's too dangerous." He shook his head."Dad I've done things way more dangerous than killing a group-"

"I know but I don't want you getting hurt." Dad stopped.

"I'm not going to get hurt, I'm stealthy and I have skill. I've done this shit before." I furrowed my eyebrows slightly.

"Language, Alexa." He sighed.

"Sorry.." I gave up on asking. I don't know why I asked in the first place. He never lets me do shit like that.

"Hey I'm just gonna go to bed, I've been incredibly exhausted lately." I lied to him. When I tell him I'm tired he never bothers me which means I can leave this place.

I went into my room and locked the door. It wasn't exactly like a house room. It was more like a chamber but disguised as a teenage girl room. I had a window I here that my dad installed, which was stupid.

I quietly slid my window open and hopped into the little sliver of concrete. I carefully walked along it and slid down a pole that lead me into the woods.

I loved being outside of the sanctuary. I felt free out here. But I wanted to go past my limits this time.

If my dad wasn't going to take me to see Alexandria I was going to walk there myself. It's a far walk, but I'll survive.

I knew exactly which way to go. It wasn't hard.

I kept my knife in hand just in case.

The sun was almost going to go down by the time I got close.

Still daylight enough for me to see. I could see the walls from here. I kept my distance because they did have people watching out.

I put my knife away and took my gun out, looking and backing up.

They seemed extremely guarded.

I wasn't going to kill them on my own. They had a hell of a lot of gun power.

But I was going to keep an eye out for them. I turned around and saw something out of the corner of my eye.

I quickly hid behind a tree, peering out from behind it.

The footsteps didn't sound like walker steps. They were steady. I swiftly moved behind another tree and saw the figure again.

I moved out from the tree and pointed my gun only to face another.

I looked at the person who was holding the gun. It was a boy. He had light brown hair that swept over his baby blue eyes. Well... eye. He had a bandage wrapped around his right eye, if it was still even there.

He had a sheriffs hat placed ontop of his head. He was a bit sweaty and breathing quite heavily. He was cute. I've seen him before... I knew he was from Alexandria.

As my eyes studied his body, his studied mine.

"Sorry, didn't mean to get in your way." Our eyes met as I said that. I slowly put my gun down.

"Your apology is accepted." He put his gun down, too.

"I've never seen you around here before. Where are you from?" The boy asked.

"Uh... I'm not from anywhere, really." I needed to keep my cover. Couldn't let him know that I was his enemy.

"Oh... I'm Carl." He scanned my body with his eye again.

"Alexa." He wasn't ugly at all.

"What are you doing out here all by yourself?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I could ask you the same thing." I leaned my back against a tree."I asked first." A smirk appeared on his lips.

"Fair enough... I've been out here. I'm just wandering." I completely lied to him. I was good at lying, I've been doing it for years. Dad taught me well.

"I'm from Alexandria. It's a sanctuary." He pointed back to the walls.

"I've heard of Alexandria... well, not heard. Seen it- the walls, I mean." I tried to be cautious with my words. "It's a really good place." He nodded.

"So they let you out?" I changed the subject.

"Nope." He shook his head."You're just a little outlaw, aren't you?" I chuckled.

"Guess I am." His eye still was connected with mine.

I happened to see the sun getting lower and lower. I barely had any visible daytime left. "I have to get going. It was nice meeting you." I looked up at the sun.

"No. My pleasure." I heard Carl say.

"Wait, if you don't have anywhere to go... why don't you come with me back to my place?" Carl suggested.

"No, I'm okay." I couldn't go in there. Even though I was tempted, eventually dad would find out I was gone.

"Why not? You don't have somewhere to be." Carl crossed his arms.

"I appreciate the offer." I turned my body halfway around.

"Will I ever see you again is the real question." He stepped a bit closer to me.

I smiled and nodded."It's a small world so I'm counting on it." I took my knife out, gripping the handle tightly.

"Bye Alexa." Carl backed up.

"See you, Carl." I started making my way back and thinking about the entire encounter.

I have no idea why I was so nice to him. I should've killed him. Right then and there.

But I didn't want to, strangely. Yeah, he was attractive, but that's never stopped me before.

I was just confused. I needed to never see that boy ever again.

By the time I got back it was dark. No one knew I had left. I took my weapons out and just as I did, my door opened.

"It's Dwight." Dwight entered my room. "What do you want?" I sat on my bed."Letting you know we got new girl clothes from hilltop. Think you'd enjoy scavenging through it." He suggested.

"Uh.. thanks I'll look through it later." I motioned for him to leave.

He closed my door as he left. I sighed and plopped down onto my bed.

I befriended an alexandrian. This could be really good or really bad.

Because he just befriended his worst enemy.

A savior.

Plot twist!¡
