Daddy Issues

20:38, 28 October 2019

Steam envelops my vision as I stand at the, obviously taller, older and easily stronger man standing there, his name ever so familiar, yet it is the newest information this day. I look at his wings and scuff my shoes on the ground, standing my ground as my face forms into my normal one again, yet the crown and wings stay."Amenadiel? What, is this the age of the Hebrews?" I ask, chuckling at my own sense of humor, Amenadiel gives a wry laugh before his face becomes a stone stare once more. "You know, Samael is the name of the Hebrews as well." He retorts, which makes my mouth close and my face to fall into a thin line, I sigh and shrug. "Alright, you got me, but who the hell are you? Cops hire you, or that masked fuck back in...wait, where are we?" I ask, my body soon succumbing to the shiver and cold of the mountain we stood upon. Amenadiel, on the other hand, wasn't shivering, his sleeveless gray robes and the long skirt-like bottom seemed to keep him warm enough to survive the cold, or it was just the divine ability of the strong.

"Dad wants his counsel with you for the first time in a while. He's sent me to take you into the meeting place. You also have no choice in the matter..." He says, I grumble and wave to him, and a rock scrapes along the ground, Amenadiel pushing a large boulder from its spot, a flame lit in the cavern, a man sits behind the fire, his face hidden in the flames."Please. Sit my child." His voice booms, although it was soft and young-sounding, his body looked weak and seemingly immovable. He wore a brown, shaggy beard, he looks up from his cloak with a weak smile. "Dad?" I ask, sitting down across from him, Amenadiel sits next to the man across from me, the fire blows out, yet light stays in the cave, the man exposing his face to me. I take in a sharp breath and look closely. "It's really you, isn't it...God."He nods slowly and smiles. "It is me. and I do regret what I did, but it is already too late for me to help you. Samael Morningstar. I shun you from the gates of heaven and dub thee a new name, that will let you not forget the pain you have caused us today. I dub thee, Lucifer Morningstar."I look at him and realize the masked figure had called me a similar name and my world shoves itself into overdrive. I stand and smile, my eyes dilating as I walk to the stone, my mind racing. "The masked figure...he's an angel isn't he..." I ask, and the figure looks at me with a look of surprise, Amenadiel himself looks almost baffled, they look at each other before God and Amenadiel both shake their head, I smile sadistically and nod."Then I'm glad to not be in heaven anymore. Those rules don't apply to me anymore. Also, I have a good idea of who it is. Cain, the first murderer in the world." I say, knowledge of thousands of years prior floods my mind, I clench my fist and the boulder behind me blows open, I step through and appear back in my hometown, I grin and take to the sky, looking around before I sense a familiar presence.

-----------------------

I stand outside the lit path to the large brick house, sighing, I walk up and raise a hand, but the door swings open quickly, Al stands there, clutching something to his chest, with tears in his eyes, I step back from his shaggy hair and messed up clothing, only now do I notice the bandage on his hand, I shudder and he pulls me close, hugging me.I hug back, gripping him tightly as he pulls me inside, shutting the door, he pulls back and laughs dryly."I thought they...you were..." "I know...soething came up and. I know who it is, but it's difficult to explain." I finish talking and hear the click of safety and look over to see Al's dad standing there, his registered pistol aimed at me."You're wanted everywhere Sammy..." He says, lowering the gun, I sigh and lean against the door, nodding."I know. But I also know who framed me, and how to get him, but I'm gonna need bait. Some SERIOUS bait." I say, sighing as I rack my brain, I snap my fingers. I look over to Al with a smile.

"What're you thinking Sammy?" He asks, I pat his shoulder. "It's not Sammy anymore. It's Lucifer, and I'm about to kill the only immortal mortal in the world." I say, I give Al a kiss and open the door, dashing out, I take off to the sky, shooting to the warehouses by the docks, I punch down through one roof, landing in an open space, I hear a scratch and a wry laugh."I knew you wouldn't risk leaving with me around. You thought you knew how I worked, so I would look in the one place you had me hunt down. Smart." I say and I hear him laugh again, this tie with a genuine comedic sense before I notice a shadow shoot from the darkness, a blade shooting forward, I stand there and it breaks along my skull, shattering to the ground.

"We're similar Cain. Both exiled and shunned for a misdeed against, The Big Man himself. But you see me. I'm actually powerful, and you?  A mere mortal, cursed into eternal, quite literally, damnation." He yells and swings at me, I block it with my forearm and slam my hand into his neck, he coughs and launches at me, I slam my hands into his ears before kicking out one left, I sink my thumbs into his eyes and eyepatch, then kick his face in, sending him backwards.

I look at my hand a white-handled knife is in its place, flames protruding from it, I smile and walk forward, slamming the blade into Cain, he coughs blood and looks at me, eye wide, he smiles and laughs."Finally, what I desire most...the death that was sucked away from me millennia's ago. I thank you, Lucifer Morningstar." He says, then he crumples, his body soon turning to dust and the blade goes with him, I look at my hands and grin, my eyes glowing a red color as I feel a newfound power within my body.Time to punish evil.
