30k Tribute
22:24, 8 March 2016James POV
I sat under a tree near the giant squid lake. I was reading a novel that Lily had suggested, some muggle book about a girl who was dating a sparkly vampire. It was disgustingly sappy, and the main character was super whiny, but the storyline was decent.
"What are you reading?" A familiar voice asked behind me. I looked back to see Lily sit down next to me. She rested her head on my shoulder, and read the page I was on. When she recognised the script, she laughed. "I can't believe you're actually reading it. I meant that suggestion as a joke, you know. The majority of the muggle population despises that series."
"It's actually not that bad," I replied, putting an arm around her shoulders. "This Bella chick is annoying, but the story itself is pretty interesting."
Lily snickered. "It's okay. You can say that you hate it."
I pecked a kiss on the top of her head. "Are you crazy? I don't hate it. In fact, I love it. Who wouldn't enjoy reading about-" I flipped to a random page and skimmed it, looking for something to continue my statement with. "vampires playing baseball... during a thunderstorm?"
She lightly smacked my arm. "Seriously. You've gotta admit, the book's kinda rubbish."
I smiled, and set the book down. Now that both of my arms were free, I used them to hold Lily closer to me. "Alright, yeah. I agree."
She sat on my lap, facing me. Her hands were on my shoulders. She bit her bottom lip seductively, and then started to kiss my neck, leaving kitten licks down to my collarbone. I closed my eyes and moaned softly.
Then she moved back up my neck, and bit down below my jaw. Hard. I yelped in surprise. That was no doubt going to leave a hard-to-explain bruise.
"Did you just... bite me?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at Lily. I had to admit, it felt pretty damn nice.
She shrugged, and blushed a bit. "I figured that it was relevant to the whole vampire conversation we were having. Sorry if you didn't like it."
"No, it's fine, I just wasn't expecting that. Please, carry on." I regretted making her stop, because I was really enjoying the attention.
Lily continued to kiss my neck, and even left a couple of light hickies. I was in heaven, and probably a groaning mess. She didn't seem deterred by my hot-and-botheredness, though, of which I was glad.
"GET SOME!" I heard someone yell. A bunch of laughter followed. Lily broke away from me and glared at the person who had shouted. It was none other than Sirius Black, my best friend.
I felt the tips of my ears burn red with embarrassment. Comments like that normally wouldn't have fazed me, but once I was near Lily, whom I'd had a crush on forever, everything changed. I didn't want to lose her because of some stupid thing that my friends said.
She turned back to me and giggled. "Do you want to go and talk to them?" She asked, jerking her head towards the group of people near us.
I shook my head. "I'd rather do this." I kissed her again, and everyone whooped and hollered.
I couldn't have been happier.
