10. Vacation With The Family

~Holly's P.O.V.~-9 years later-

"Guys get down here its time to eat" I yell throughout the house. "Evie Im gonna beat you!" Lucas screams excitedly, "no you arent!" Evie screams back.

"Guys no running around the house" I hear Lucy tell them in the other room. "Sorry mom" "sorry aunt Lucy" Evie and Lucas apologize.

"Hey honey" I kiss George as he walks in, "you guys are gross" Evie scrunches her nose. "Yeah, I mean how would you like it if Evie and I kissed infront of you" Lucas whines and I laugh. "You're gross, I wouldn't ever kiss you. You've got germs" Evie makes a face at him.

"Whats this I hear about you wanting to kiss my Evie, little guy" Lockwood comes into the kitchen and sits infront of Lucas.

"Dont worry dad, I wont ever change you, I love you" Evie smiles and Lucas frowns. "Arent you too young to date anyway" I ask.

"Not if its true love" Lucas smiles happily at me. "What do you know about true love Lucas" Evie laughs. "I know that I love you and that you will love me back one day" he smiles at her and Lickwood shakes his head.

"Im sorry little man but...... How do I put this......... Evie is mine" Lockwood grins at Lucas.

"No she isnt. She's your daughter and besides you already have aunt Lucy" Lucas smirks. "Who said I cant have two girls in my life" Lockwood leans back his chair.

Lucas looks at Lockwood and then quickly gives Evie a kiss on the cheek. "Hey!" Lockwood whines. "Ewww!" He just kissed my cheek" Evie whines like her dad. Lucy walks in "whats for breakfast?" She asks and sits beside Evie.

"Waffles, pancakes, and eggs, and biscuits" Evie smiles at her mom. "Yum" she laughs. "Lucas" Lucy says "yes aunt Lucy" he asks sweetly. "You can date my daughter when she's older, right now, you're too young" she says to him and he nods, "now tell that to uncle Lockwood" he smiles and Lockwood laughs.

After we finish eating we go to the living room and talk. "Guys we have something to tell you" George smiles. "Well since its summer we're going on a vacation, all of us!" He chimes."Yaaay!!" Evie and Lucas scream.

~Lucas' P.O.V.~

"Come on!" I say to Evie as we run up the stairs. We run into our room and jump on the beds then lay beside eachother on the floor.

"Im so excited" I say and she smiles "me too"she says. "Oooh okay what are we gonna wear" she runs to our closet.

"What about this?" She holds out a glittery shirt with shorts and boots. "No! Thats too girly!" I say, bouncing my basketball in the air. "Well Im the one who's wearing it" she laughs and throws it on her bed.

Aunt Lucy comes in and smiles. "Hey guys ready to pack your clothes?" She asks and we both nod our heads.

"Oooh, this is nice" aunt Lucy says to Evie. "I know, I chose it. Lucas said its too girly" she responds. She smiles over at me and I look away quickly.

"Honey can you keep choosing your clothes I'll be right back, I just wanna have a talk with Lucas" she walks toward me. "Sure mom" Evie says as she looks through all her girly clothes.

"Honey can we talk?" Aunt Lucy asks me and I nod. She takes me out into the hallway. "How is it that you're so sure you love Evie?" She asks me, "I dont know. I just have this feeling in my stomach everytime Im with her, I say honestly.

She nods "are you sure its not because you're best friends?" She asks, and this time I dont know how to answer her question. "I dont know" I say and she nods.

"Ok you can go back, you're mom will be up here shortly to help you with your clothes" she smiles and I go back in the room.

"Are we almost there yet?" I ask for the fifth hundredth time. Evies leans her head on my shoulder, "Im so tired and its so hot in here" she whines. "Oh sorry" my dad turns on the air conditioning and Evie sits up.

"Dang it dad!" I whisper. "Mom are we almost there yet?" Evie stands up and walks to her mom. "Almost. Here take this water bottle and go sit down by Lucas" she scoots her away.

"Lucas! Help me! Its so hot in here" she whines again. I lift my head from the bed where Im layed on. "Its not that hot over here" I say and she walks over to me.

She throws herself onto me "oof! You're so heavy" I whine "tickle tickle tickle tickle tickle!" I tickle her off me and she laughs hard.

"Ahh" she sighs and I lay beside her. "Dad you need to fix the R.V. !!!" Evie yells. "Ughh, Evie just take a break were almost there!" I yell at her and she sticks out her tongue at me.

"The car stopped! Does that mean we're here!" She takes my hand and we run to our dads. "Yup! We're here!" Uncle Lockwood screams and grabs Evie, throwing her onto his shoulders.

My dad does the same. They take us to a check in place and put us down. "Oooh, Dad, can I get some money, there's arcade games over there" my dad gives me 10 dollars.

I take Evie's hand and we run toward the games. "Oh look, cars!" I scream and she pulls on my hand. "No come on look! There's a photo booth!" She pulls me toward it. "Fine! But then cars" I run with her.

I insert the money and we get in. We make silly faces then happy faces then mad faces. "Look" I say and she turns to look at me, I quickly give her a small kiss on the lips and the photo shoots.

I get out of the photo booth, leaving her shocked. I get one of the strips and peak my head in and give her the other strip. She takes it and just stares at us, in the picture. I smile and then go over to the car games.

"Guys! Come on we gotta go!" My dad yells "but uggh I didnt get to play" I whine. I go into the photo booth, I take Evie's hand and pull her to where our dads are.

We both quickly hide the picture strips in our pockets and walk to our parents. "So we fixed it up. We'll be sharing the cabin, but it only has 2 rooms. So either you 2 have to stay in the living room's bed together or in the bedroom floors" they turn to look at us.

"I prefer the bed in the living room, Im not sleeping on the floor" I say and Evie nods holding onto my hand tighter, "me too" she says and looks at me.

I smile and I lead her to the R.V. We get in and lay on the couches, beside eachother. "You dont have to worry, it was just a kiss" I say before our parents come inside.

"Im not sleepy mom" I say, "honey, you have to go to sleep" she tells me. "Oh just let them watch a movie before they sleep" dad says and I smile. "George" my mom responds and I sneak out of the room.

"What movie do you wanna watch?" I ask Evie, who is sitting on the bed already. "Something scary" she tells me excitedly. I look through all the movies and find MAMA.

"Want some popcorn?" Uncle Lockwood comes in, "what oh yes please" I smile up at him. "Okay 1 second" he gets some popcorn and puts it in the microwave.

"Here you go" he hands me the popcorn and I put it between Evie and I. He goes back into the kitchen, guys Im gonna leave these flashlights here so that tomorrow we can go camping, dont use them so the battery doesnt die" He tells us and we both nod.

~Lucy's P.O.V.~

Lockwood comes back in and sits on the bed. He lays beside me and kisses me. "No Lockwood, what if one of the kids comes in here" I tell him, "then we can just lock the door" he stands up, locks the door and lays on me.

"Come on, why not?" He whines. "Lockwood, over everything we're not even quiet" I reason, "so what. The kids probably think we're just kissing, and George and Holly dont care, theyre probably doing the same thing" he says to me.

"Fine" I say quickly. He begins kissing me and I kiss him back.

~Evie's P.O.V.~

"Lucas, Im scared" I say, he brings me closer to him and hugs me. "Here why dont we stop the movie" he suggests and I quickly nod my head.

"Lets do something more fun, lets go exploring" he takes the flashlights and hands me one. "But my dad said not to" I say.

"Come on, it'll be fun!" He screams and I hurry to shush him. "Fine, but can we not take long" I ask and he nods, he takes my hand and we leave the cabin quietly.

"No, we shouldnt be doing this it's dangerous" I say and he shakes his head, I grip his hand tightly and just follow him.

"What was that?" I shriek as I hear the bushes rustling. "Lucas what is that?" I ask, scared. "Its nothing dont worry" he puts his arm around my shoulders. "Theres nothing there" he shines the flashlight in the way of the sound.

"We should go back! We cant get in trouble for getting out without permission and my dad said not to use the flashlights" I yell at Lucas.

"Fine, fine, just, lets go" he sighs and I nod "which way was it?" I ask him and he looks at me. "I-I dont know" his eyes go wide and I look around. "I think it was this way" I say pointing to a direction.

"And I think its this way" I hear uncle George say. "Guys what are you doing here?" He asks us and we both look down.

"Lucas, Evie, you could have gotten hurt. Ugh guys come on" we go to his sides and he holds our hands.

When we get there he locks the latch and he makes us go to bed. Lucas lays down and I lay on his side, my head on his chest. "Lucas?" I say "yes" he responds quietly. "I was very scared" I admit, "don't worry, Im here" he tells me and we both fall asleep.

"Guys, you up for some fishing?" My dad asks and we both nod. "Honey, you sure you dont wanna come swim with your aunt and I?" My mom asks and I shake my head.

"Well then be careful, if something goes wrong, your dad is right there, okay?" She tells me "okay" I say and walk to Lucas.

~Lockwood's P.O.V.~

"Come on guys" I say to Lucas and Evie, "get on the boat" I tell them and they do.

"Daddy, we're gonna put the fish back in the water, after, right?" Evie asks me and I dont know how to answer her.

"No we aren't, cuz we're gonna eat them when we're done" Lucas answers for me. "But why?" She asks him. "Because they're food" he tells her and she frowns.

"No! Then Im going with mom!" She yells and quickly jumps off the boat. "No!" I scream and dive right after her.

I go underwater and pull her out. "Honey! Evie!" I yell in hopes that she's okay. She starts coughing up water and I pull her in for a hug.

"Dont ever do that again! You hear me!" I pull her from my hug and then bring her in for a tighter hug. "I thought something happened to you" I say.

George takes the boat to the shore and Evie and I get off. "Oh my god! What happened!" Lucy asks. "She jumped off the boat but I got her back before anything bad happened" I explain and she hugs Evie and me.

"Im so sorry" I tell her and she nods, " Im just glad you're okay" she tells us and I smile, "I love you" I pull Lucy in for a kiss but Evie stops us, "you're gross" she says and we all start laughing.

Evie stands up and walks to Holly and she hands her a towel, "thank you aunt Holly" Evie says and walks to Lucas.

I pull Lucy in again for a kiss, this time making it to her lips, "I love you" I repeat "I love you too" she tells me after our soft kiss.

We get up and we all decide to go to the beach instead. "Oh, hey guys!" I hear Kipps say and I freak. I see him coming closer and I bring Evie and Luce closer to me.

"Uh yeah he-" "what are you doing here?!" I interrupt Luce. "Uh Im sorry I never saw your name written on the beach"he grins and I look away.

"Wow, this is your little girl? Evie wasn't it?" He kneels down and extends his hand to Evie.

Evie gets out of my grip and shakes his hand. "Yes, Im Evie" she smiles, "and this is Lucas" she continues, pulling Lucas' arm to her.

"Hi, Im Lucas" he smiles, "okay you need to go now!" I run out of patience. "Lockwood!" Luce yells at me, "you can stay for a while" she smiles nicely at Kipps. "Am I the only one that remembers what he did?!?" I question, letting go of Lucy's waist and walking back to the boat.

She follows after me "Holly take care of Evie" Luce says and runs toward me, she gets a hold of my wrist but I pull away. "Luce dont you see! He's trying to get to me, he already has!" I yell at her.

"So?" She asks, "you dont even care?!" I scream. "You didnt let me finish. I said that because it doesnt matter! I love you! That's all that matters! Im not gonna ever choose him over you! You know that!" She yells at me.

"Yeah, whatever! Let's see how long it takes for you to be one to want to have sex with him!" I yell. I turn around to go to the cabin but instead she slaps me.

"You will not talk to me that way! I have been here with you! You have no reason to be jelous especially because of him!" She begins to cry and I look away from her.

"This isnt even jealousy!" I scream when we get to the cabin "Yeah?! Then what is it!" She yells from behind me.

"Im mad! Everytime we go somewhere, there he is! And and you just protect him like he did nothing wrong! If you cant remember let me tell you again! He raped you Lucy! He, that idiot standing outside with my daughter, our daughter, he raped you!" I yell and I feel my face get really hot.

Lucy cries "Lockwood! I dont mean to protect him! I just want to forget about it! I dont want to look at him and see the idiot that raped me! I want to see someone who we were once friends with!" She yells and I shake my head.

"Yeah!? Well, thats not what I want! I want you to only care about me! I want you to only want me!" I press her against the wall.

"But that is what I want!" She yells and cries. "Well that's not what it looks like to me" I calm my voice down.

She cups my face with her hands. "But it doesnt matter what you see, I want you and only you" our foreheads meet and I relax a bit. Our lips meet but I pull away.

"Im sorry babe, but right now, I cant" I say and walk away leaving her in tears.
