5 | pregnant

Jun-hee didn't know why she had kept throwing up, every time she'd wake up early just to throw up, she never felt good and nauseous all the time, Seun-jin had became worried for her but she always dismissed it saying she was fine.

She later on went to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test, it was one of her speculations, if she was sick she wouldn't just be throwing up everyday, and she kept missing, so surely that was not the case.

Instead of doing at home she did it in the private bathroom waiting 15 minutes for the results that's when she saw it, the two lines, she was actually pregnant, and that wasn't Seun-jin's baby, so it was Myung-gi's.

A few weeks after she had left Seun-jin and decided to break up with him, she said she was stressed, and she was. But that wasn't the real reason anyways, it wasn't his child and she couldn't stay with him knowing it wasn't.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry, pardon me?"

"I said I was pregnant." Jun-hee looked up at Seun-jin, "Yeah I know just wanted to make sure I wasn't hearing things like I usually do when I'm home alone in the dark." He shifted awkwardly, he didn't know how to take care of pregnant women, or sick in general. He just sat there awkwardly. "But why didn't you tell me that earlier I would've—"

"It's not yours." Seun-jin didn't say anything, he just stared at her blankly like she did something wrong, not entirely but it was kept from him. "Well, then, whose is it? Is it.."

"Well, I guess you could say. Who I also hate the very most." She said looking down, giving a very vague answer on who she had meant.

"What, who are you talking about? I mean, can you just name drop here? I'm not a genius." He probably already knew who it was but he didn't want to believe it, that's why their whole relationship had ended, she was pregnant and he wasn't the father after all.

"Myung-gi." Seun-jin choked on his food causing his eyes to water and cough, Jun-hee looked at him in terror and concern, "The MG coin? The one that scammed me? You let that twink—I mean, oh, I didn't know that."

"No, he scammed me too, then he ghosted me for about 6 months after I got pregnant that's what I didn't tell you, that's why I'm here, he scammed me, all my money from singing is gone, I have nothing left, so I had to make money for my baby somehow."

"I told him, and I was already planning on getting an abortion but the recruiter guy came to me, and plus I didn't want to be alone, I kept it I'm 9 months along."

"And, I don't want to raise a baby with someone who ruined my life to get me here, but then i didn't want to raise it with you because I thought it was unfair that it wasn't yours, and Myung-gi was before you, I'm so sorry."

"Listen it's okay, even if it wasn't mine I would've still raised it. I wish you would have told me the day of you found out, you didn't have to hide it, like I said I'd stay with you no matter what. Did you really doubt me that much?" Jun-hee shook her head no quickly, their whole relationship was meant to be honest, not on lies or anything else, "It's just that..."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Help me raise it."

Seun-jin stayed quiet again and stared blankly not knowing what to say, they could barely get out now and she was 9 months along which meant that she would have to give birth here.

"I'll do it, I'll help you." A part of him was happy of course but a part of him was still confused, in a place like this? And most of all she didn't need to hide it or keep it away from him at all but I guess he could understand her reasons.

"Thank you, I'm sorry for the trouble that I caused for you over the years. It's just I didn't expect to be in such a place like this, i thought it would be easy instead of getting rid of it. I never meant for this to happen and ruin our relationship, I'm sorry."

"It's alright Jun-hee, Instead of apologizing I think you should be eating, you know, here take some of my food, you need it more than I do." He lifted the tray on to her lap, she discarded it, refusing. "No, eat it. I don't want you to eat so little, plus..."

"Look, if we're gonna raise it to be healthy it's best that you eat a lot since you're carrying it. And I already ate some of the food, if you don't consider choking it out though, then yes I did technically eat it."

Jun-hee took his tray but purposely left the milk on it too, "Take the milk too." She sighed in defeat. "You're so annoying, You just choked it out about 2 times, you barely ate."

"Like I said that doesn't count. I'm not really hungry, and plus I can't have dairy, I'm lactose intolerant which is why I didn't drink the milk. I have a lot of struggles, maybe allergies too."

"But I'm talking about the food, you need it to eat, we're staying here for 6 days Seun-jin, you can't just eat nothing on an empty stomach."

"It doesn't matter anyway, you're eating for two people, three unless it's twins but you need it more than me, plus out of here I would've already eaten a whole buffet. The food here is just nasty, I eat really well though. So don't worry about it."

Jun-hee shook her head. "You eat a lot of unhealthy stuff, you even wanted to go to Japan for a sushi conveyor restaurant, healthy food is like vegetables and less..."

"But I still eat pizza and cheese, it's not that bad. Just that I have to go to the bathroom, and it takes me about half an hour to get out, but at least the food is always good, it's worth it if the food is good, but if it's shitty then I just, don't know, and hey, it's not like we actually went right?"

"Sure, I can gaslight myself."

"And I had food poisoning once also, so I also threw up and stayed on the toilet all day. You were there too, I remember that." Jun-hee laughed, "I do too, I didn't feel bad."

Seun-jin looked around nudging Jun-hee, "But I think, we should join a team, what about player 456, he's a previous winner isn't he?" Said to Jun-hee waiting for her approval, being indecisive he left Jun-hee to everything. "Yeah, we can join him, but I don't have the energy to get up now." She held her stomach.

"Do you want me to carry you?" She didn't respond right away, but eventually she did with a weird look. "That's embarrassing don't you think? Can't you just wait until I feel better?"

"Well, I can. But then it might be full, I mean look at that, it looks like a meet and greet. You can get on my back if you want though, I don't mind, you're not that heavy." Seun-jin smiled. "Were you always like this to other people before you met me or what?"

He simply shrugged, "I don't have other people in my life, at least anymore."

When they got to 456's bunk, Seun-jin carefully set Jun-Hee down on her feet, accidentally kicking him against his back leg he almost fell over face flat, watching her laugh at him, but her smile was perfect, so he didn't mind it at all, as long as he kept seeing it. "Ow."

"Sorry, not."

"Anyways." Seun-jin turned around to 456 and bowed as a greeting, "Sorry for bothering you sir, if you're...occupied, but could we team up with you? Since you're a previous winner that you could help us, and this one here," He pointed at Jun-hee, "Has a little pain in her stomach so we wanted someone to stick with."

"I don't mind, the more people we have the more people we can save." He said not looking up even once at all, Seun-jin bowed again, "Thank you sir, come on Jun-hee let's go." Seun-jin dragged Jun-hee next to him on the bunk across from 456.

"I can't believe you did all that, did you forget my ex is here? He might..." Seun-jin rolled his eyes, "So what? Is he gonna kill me? Is he a mafia or something? I don't care, I told myself if I ever met him in person I'm going to sue him, but something I'd telling me to...actually never mind, yeah just a legal battle that's all."

"I'd love to see that, maybe then you could win my heart again." Seun-jin smiled leaning against her. "I mean, haven't I already? Seems like it."

Eventually 001 and 388 ended up joining the group too, and 456 was like a famous celebrity with the amount of people wanting to know what the next game was, I wonder what made him come back, but that's personal, he didn't look like he told personal anyway.

"Last time, the next game was Dalgona."

"Dalgona? The one with the cookie? Were you able to eat it? I love sugar cookies, and sweets of course." Seun-jin asks, Jun-hee shook her head at his childish behavior, but she had gotten used to it, it was her favorite about him.

"Yeah that one, we had to choose a shape and carve it out without cracking it in the time limit."

"Which one was the easiest?" 390 asked, "The Triangle." He replied, "And the hardest?"

"Umbrella."

"I like myself a challenge, I'm choosing umbrella, and a larger portion if we get to eat it, I love food, I miss it." He looked over at Jun-hee, "Don't even Park Seun-jin, choose the triangle, do you want a death wish? I'm still alive if you don't know."

"Sorry, sorry." He looked at 456 again then his friend, 390. "So which shape did you pick?" It went silent for a moment until it wasn't. 230 started harassing Myung-Gi, Seun-jin turned over to the three of them, "You motherfucker! Because of you and your fuck ass crypto I lost all my money!" 230 yells at him with 124 standing beside him like a lost dog.

Seun-jin looked over at Jun-hee who had her head on his shoulder and smiled, but she also watched the scene as her ex was the one getting harassed, she didn't seem bothered by it, she continued smiling, and to be honest it was well deserved for him.

But it escalated into a physical fight, 230 took his lunch and shoved it into his face, Seun-jin was glad someone was doing the work for him but it was getting quite serious that someone might need to step up, not him though. "Someone should stop them, it looks like it's getting serious." 001 stood up between 390 and 388.

"There are elders present, Mind your manners. And two against one? Isn't that a little unfair to you?" He looked at the both of them, 230 looked over at him, he mocked him.

"You're lecturing me when you're in this shithole too? Save the lecture for your own damn kids."

"What did you just say?" He said more seriously this time, this boy truly had no shame." I said save the lecture for your—" He took 230 by his neck snapping his arm.

"You son of a—." 124 tried to jump in, also getting the shit beat out of 001, surely he wasn't just some regular player, he wanted to kill then both for offense. "Well damn, that's rough, oh well." Seun-jin shrugged. "They're high."

Then his focus went back on 230 who he had shoved on the ground, practically begging for his life, "I'm sorry, I'll stop. Just let me go man."

Eventually he stopped, leaving 230 on the ground as he returned to the bunk with the people praising him, "Is he an ex-marine too?" 388 whispered while pulling down his shirt sleeve and so did 390

"Is that what you imagine beating Myung-gi? Or at least dueling." Jun-hee asked, snickered, Seun-jin scoffed. "I'm not that strong, I took some martial arts classes or whatever, was able to beat a couple big guys, I stopped at 17, but I haven't fought in a while."

"Seun-jin."

"Hm?"

"Thank you."
