0.5 | the fan and the idol
08:33, 13 April 2026Kim Jun-hee was an idol with many fans, concerts, world tours and everything you can imagine with lots of paparazzi, she paid a lot of attention to her fans, except the love letters she received, most of them that came from weirded out creeps.
But even when a particular one didn't send her one, she fell for him anyway, Park Seun-jin. She never noticed him in the large crowds she always had but somewhere else without security and paparazzi, and that was the day he became her favorite fan of all, and eventually she started growing feelings for him.
One lucky day, Seun-jin had bumped into her on accident and she fell, he quickly apologized and offered to help her up, wiping the dust off her clothes he bowed as a sorry and took off almost immediately, he didn't ask who she was or anything, just left in a hurry.
And she thought about him since.
"Hey, Ms Jun-hee, are you okay? You shouldn't have went out without security and that's why we insisted on coming." Jun-hee didn't have time for their lectures, so she dismissed her and she left out the room, she laid her head down on the table thinking about the same encounter even when she already had a boyfriend that was a famous YouTuber, but he wasn't the nicest. Was this wrong? Yes, but she couldn't help it.
-
"Your show starts soon, but you seem distracted, is there something on your mind? A boy, maybe? Don't tell me you miss your boyfriend already, he'll be watching you live I'm sure!" Jun-hee shook her head, "No, that's not what I was thinking about, or at least who I was thinking about in that matter."
"Then who?"
"None of your business really, my show is starting soon isn't it? I'll be on stage then, thank you." Her assistant watched her leave with a confused brain, they were close usually and she knew she had a boyfriend, did she not love him anymore? When she had talked about him her voice seemed cold, well in the end it really was none of her business, she was just her assistant.
Jun-hee stepped out on stage mentally preparing herself, before she started she looked around for the particular boy but she didn't see him, maybe he didn't have front row, he wasn't in the middle either so maybe the very back. Nonetheless she continued on with crowds cheers and her singing hoping he was here, and waiting somewhere so she could hopefully thank the boy.
After she was done she went backstage and sighed, the same assistant came up to her with a cheerful smile on her face, "You did well out there! Usually you're really nervous but you were less this time, I wonder why's that? Are you finally finding it entertaining?"
"Maybe, it's just business after all, I had no choice." She slouched before a thought when up in her head, "I'm going to go outside, please don't send anyone after me, I'm as tired as it is, okay? Thanks." And with that Jun-hee had put on a hat and left her assistant again with a confused brain with so many questions. Which made her think that she was doing something scandalous she wasn't supposed to be.
At the back exit she looked for the boy to see if she could find him anywhere but she had no luck. She had only performed great for him if he was there and watching and if he wasn't then it was all for nothing. She felt a tap on her shoulder behind her hoping it was him, but it turns out it was just a fan, or fans instead.
"Look, it is her! Can we get an autograph please?" She sighed looking down at the girls album before signing it, and then came many others, she didn't wanna be disrespectful, but it got annoying and she couldn't get to everyone, more fans started to come once they realized who she was, then she was in a small space crowded until her hand was grabbed, "Hey!"
He had let go once they reached a spot safe from her hundreds and hundreds of fans. "Hey, what are youโ?" She looked up at the boy, it was the one she was hoping to meet and yet her words had been harsh. "I mean, thank you for helping me, once again." The boy raised a brow in confusion at the word again. "Again? I remember your shows but I don't remember helping you a first time though."
"Oh, sorry it's nothing, I'm just sleep deprived, busy schedules you know? But thanks for helping me, well at least let me properly thank you by signing your album you have there." His eyes lit up in excitement, she liked the way his eyes sparkled. "Are you for real? I mean it's okay you don't have to." Jun-hee smiled before taking out her pen and signed his album, he was smiling like a little kid.
He immediately cleared his throat after. "I mean, thank you."
"It's no problem, call me when you get a chance okay? I'll be looking forward to it." And with that she ran off, he was confused on what she meant until he realized she had put her number there too, he felt like the luckiest guy in the world, his idol, despite being one himself, had noticed him and even gave her number, which felt like winning the lottery.
-
After days Jun-hee had finally returned home with her boyfriend, Lee Myung-gi who made many investments in crypto from YouTube, he was already on his computer and had shut it off once he heard the door open giving her a hug.
"I watched the whole thing, I'm proud of you, and the both of us." Jun-hee smiled and nodded, though she didn't like how they were now. "Me too, thank you Myung-gi." She lied, at some point their relationship had been sincere and nice, but later on she did realize that he was using her because of her fame, he cared but not as much as before when she wasn't famous, he had changed.
Jun-hee started hanging out with Seun-jin more, they went to nice places together and he was completely nice and was already rich and had money of his own being a famous actor, he wouldn't use her for money or fame, and respected all her boundaries, he was a nice refresher from Myung-gi, but they never had a label for the both of them yet, Jun-hee thought they were more than friends and Seun-jin had seen it as best friends.
That was solved when they both had kissed, and they were officially together, not on the internet or anything, it was private. Jun-hee and Myung-gi had broken up due to too many problems and arguments obviously way before Seun-jin and her had got together, but he still never knew about Myung-gi and that he was her ex boyfriend.
And the relationship was well, until it wasn't. Jun-hee found out she was pregnant. And it wasn't Seun-jin's, it was Myung-gi's. She didn't cheat, it was before they had gotten together, and she had never knew she was or when 'that' had happened. So she broke up with Seun-jin saying she was stressed. She had called Myung-gi telling him about the news and he said that he would help.
Until one day, he scammed her, taking all her money and ghosting her for 6 months, the last conversation they had was him telling her to get an abortion which she considered at first. And she still thought about Seun-jin who was already with someone completely different, Jang Aera who was just a regular person, not an idol or actress. She never called him, and never would be able to when he already had a girlfriend.
She was on a hiatus from being an idol, she didn't say how long she said she was just taking a break. She was heading to the doctors waiting for her train to come when she ran into a man with a briefcase, offering to play Ddakji.
"Miss, would you like to play a simple game with me?" She looked up to the weird guy with a smile on his face, "What kind of game are you talking about? Listen if you'reโ"
"Just a game of Ddakji, if you flip mine over I'll give you 100,000 won. If I flip yours you give me 100,000 won back." Jun-hee raised a brow, she didn't have such money after someone took it behind her back, "I don't have that kind of money, so just fuck off."
"Then you can repay me with your body."
"Are you kidding? I said fuck off, now you're just being weird, are you a pimp?" He cleared his throat, "I mean with a slap, you can repay me with a slap to the face." She was already dealing with so much and she wanted him to leave, so she accepted to just play, "I'll take the blue Ddakji."
"Very well."
Jun-hee won every round he offered to play, she was great at this game, and she also didn't want to get slapped, he handed her the 100,000 won and a card a long with it. "Kim Jun-hee, 25 years old, an idol on hiatus, scammed by ex boyfriend of 2 and a half years, currently pregnant with no money to help your child."
She looked at the man suspiciously, "You're struggling, if you ever want more opportunities to play games like this and earn money then call this number on the back of the card, we don't have many spots left for everyone." And then the man left, her train finally arrived.
She waited. She called Myung-gi one last time and no answer, before she called the card she looked at Seun-jin's contact, maybe he had forgotten about her now, she looked at the card, she decided that she would join for her child.
"Ms. Kim Jun-hee?"
No reply.
"Hello?"
"Hi. I want to participate with the card you gave me, this number exactly, so does this thing work or not? Or is it a scam too?" She spoke on the phone, "Your name and Age please."
"Kim Jun-hee, 23 years old."
