Chapter Thirteen

23:05, 21 September 2020

Draco has been looking for the Room of Requirement for days. Today, he is walking through the corridor of the seventh floor, talking to himself:

"A secret room that only appears to someone who needs it. Where are you, Room of Requirement? Potter could find you last year, but now no one needs you more than me".

After saying this, a big door appears on the wall just in front of him. This had never happened to him before. He looks around to make sure he is alone and takes out his wand before opening the door cautiously.

—Hello? —He asks but no one answers.

Draco finds himself in a huge room filled with piles of old furniture, chandeliers, lamps and old armors. A shy sunray that enters through the window is the only light the room has.

—Where am I? —He whispers as he looks around, inspecting the mysterious room.

All he can hear is the sound of his footsteps echoing through the room. But something that seems to be a big piece of furniture covered with a blanket catches his attention.

He pulls the blanket, so that he can see what is hidden under, and can't believe what he sees. He finally found the vanishing cabinet.

—I adore you, (Y/N/N). I wish you were here —he says with a beautiful smile on his face and starts repairing the cabinet...

Anthros visits you that night with a beautiful white rose and a letter from Draco:

"Dear (Y/N):

How are you, babe? I hope you're alright.

You're not gonna believe what I'm gonna say. My quest is over. I finally found the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement..."

—Yes! Finally! —You exclaim excited and Anthros gets scared—. Oh my God! Anthros, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you —you pet him with affection and he hoots. You smile and keep reading:

"...A big door appeared on the wall just in front of me, like if the castle had heard my supplications. It was the Room of Requirement. There I found the cabinet, covered with a blanket next to a pile of old furniture.

I started to repair it immediately, but it won't be easy. It's much more damaged than I thought.

Did I mention that you're a genius? I think you could work here, in Hogwarts, as a Divination teacher. It would be a beautiful way for us to be together, don't you think?

I miss you so much, gorgeous. I swear I still have your delicious womanly scent stuck to my skin. I can't help but blush so hard every time I remember our hot makeout session on your bed. I think we should look for another place to play next time.

I love you, princess. I can't wait to see you again.

Forever yours,

Draco"

You sigh, feeling that your heart fills with joy and quickly write a response.

Anthros takes your letter to Draco in a jiffy:

"Dear Draco:

I'm alright, sweetie. I'm so glad to know you finally found the vanishing cabinet. I'm sure that the Dark Lord is gonna be very pleased. I hope you can repair it soon.

The things with Richard haven't changed. I feel so uncomfortable with his affectionate behavior, but I think it's gonna be much easier to break up with him this way. I wanna be yours and only yours, my love..."

Draco sighs and a tear of joy starts rolling down his cheek.

—I love her so much, you know, Anthros? —Anthros hoots. Draco smiles and keeps reading:

"...Oh my God! Is Divination a subject in your school? It sounds fantastic! I wish I could go so that we wouldn't be separated anymore, ever.

I miss you so much too, love. I blush so hard too every time I remember what we did on my bed, and what we were about to do.

I love you, Dray. I can't wait for us to be together again.

Forever yours,

(Y/N)

PS: Next time I wanna play in your bed"

A mischievous smile blooms across Draco's face, and it turns bigger when he sees your lipstick kiss mark at the end of the letter.

He keeps it carefully under his pillow and falls asleep.

One month later...

Draco and you are on your Saturday date at The Three Broomsticks, drinking butterbeer and... arguing. Yes, ARGUING. Draco and you are having your first fight.

—Can you explain to me why did you ditch me last Saturday? I was waiting for you like a stupid at my window, thinking that you were gonna show up riding your broomstick anytime, but you never did!

—Babe, I'm so sorry. It's just... I was in the Room of Requirement, repairing that bloody cabinet and... I lost track of time.

—Did you lose track of time?! —He nods ashamed—. Just look at yourself, Draco! You look paler and thiner than usual, and even have bags under your eyes, as large and deep as two soup bowls. It seems like you haven't eaten nor slept in days! That bloody cabinet is obsessing you, isn't it?

—Oh! I'm sorry for trying to repair it, so that I can save my ass from certain death, miss "I'm gonna break up with my boyfriend"!

You gasp in disbelief. You can't believe what you just heard. Of all the people who could hurt you, why him?

Tears start rolling down your cheeks like a silent waterfall, and that is a stab in the heart to Draco.

—I'm so sorry, gorgeous. I crossed the line. I shouldn't have said that —he cups your face gently with his hands and wipes your tears away with his kisses—. Love, I... —he turns his head and notices that Katie Bell is heading to the toilet—. I'll be right back —he stands up and follows her.

You close your eyes and bite your lips from inside just not to scream. How is it possible that the love of your life had broken your heart twice in five minutes?
