⋆˚。 Chapter Twenty: A Home For Kyungmin 。˚⋆
17:28, 20 August 2025“He never asked for much. Only to be wanted.”
The sun was soft that morning.
Golden and slow, brushing through the hospital windows as if it, too, was trying not to disturb the silence. Birds chirped faintly outside. Nurses walked quietly down the hall.
Inside Room 206, it was peaceful.
For the first time in a long time… peaceful.
Kyungmin sat upright in bed, blanket pulled over his lap. His hair was messy. His arms still sore. But his eyes—his eyes were finally clear.
He looked at them now.
And this time, he spoke.
*I… heard everything you said.”
The room went still.
Shinyu froze mid-step. The brothers looked up from their seats.
“I thought you only wanted me to disappear,” Kyungmin said slowly. “So I started to believe it.”
He looked at the floor.
“But then… I didn’t disappear. And you were still there.”
His voice trembled, but he kept going.
“So maybe… maybe I’ll believe you now.”
“If you say you’ll try…”
He looked at them — one by one.
"Then I’ll try too.”

It wasn’t loud. There were no cheers. No tight hugs or dramatic tears.
Just breath.Just heartbeats.Just the quiet sound of something beginning again.
And that was enough.
⋆˚。⋆
Two weeks later, Kyungmin stood in front of the house.
The place he once called home. The place he once feared.
The front door opened.
Dohoon came out first.Then Hanjin.Then Jihoon and Youngjae.And finally—Shinyu.
They didn’t speak right away.
Until Shinyu stepped forward and gently said—
“Welcome home, Kyungmin.”
The words hit harder than they expected.
Because this time…They weren’t hollow.
This time, they were real.

That night, they sat together in the living room.
Kyungmin wore one of Hanjin’s hoodies — way too big — and drank hot chocolate with both hands.
Dohoon turned the TV on, low volume.Youngjae handed him the remote without teasing.Jihoon put a pillow behind his back without a word.
No one said it out loud, but everything had changed.
And Kyungmin…Kyungmin smiled.
Not a full smile. Not yet.But something small.Something honest.
Because for the first time—
He didn’t feel invisible.He didn’t feel like a ghost.He didn’t feel like a burden.
He felt wanted.Safe.Home.
⋆˚。⋆
And when he quietly whispered,
"Thank you for finding me…”
None of them answered.
They didn’t need to.
They just stayed beside him.
Together.
Where he always belonged.
