Chapter 26 - 공식 만찬 (GONG-SIG-MAN-CHAN)[Dinner]
20:46, 25 September 2017~Time Skip~[Dinner Time Back to the Hotel]
Today was fun, we visited many attractions. Even if a few of them were too afraid to get on the ferris wheel at first. Even through all the fun I didn't realize how sore my legs were until I landed on the newly made bed. Jimin face planted onto his own bed and let out a high pitched yawn.
"Are you going to head to dinner?"I asked.
A few seconds passed and my only reply were some light breathing and mumbles. I sat up and smiled at his exhausted, sleeping form on his bed. I turned off the lamps and freshened up. Hoseok asked me to come with him to dinner this morning, there was no way I was going to reject his offer so I asked him where we were going. We were going to go to this place called 'Tsurugyu'.
'Semi-formal he says...hmm...'
I look through my suitcase for something to fit that category of clothing before settling with a form fitted black sweater dress that went a little above my mid-thigh and had two grey leather belts wrapped around the waist. I pulled on some black spandex underneath, which was much more preferable to a standard piece of underwear, and slipped on some platform grey converse. It did say 'semi-formal' after all. I grabbed the pad of paper on the nightstand and left a note for Jimin to wake up to by putting it on his forehead.
'Went out for dinner see you soon oppa! -Roxi'
I put my phone, wallet, and key card into a black clutch I rummaged out of my suitcase and headed out the door, shutting it against the doorframe softly after leaving only one side lamp on. I took the elevator down to the lobby and started texting Hoseok, the white mask on my face made it difficult to see the screen unless it was right in front of me.
Hoseok: Are you heading to the lobby now?
The door opened with a ding and I my eyes connected with Hoseok's, he was standing right where he told me. His white dress shirt was cuffed to his elbows and his grey dress pants matched with his grey mask and black dress shoes. His black jacket was heaved over his shoulder along with his blue and silver tie. Hoseok studied my appearance as well with a gleeful smile spread across his face.
"You look beautiful."
"You look very handsome."I compliment, a red blush tinting my cheeks.
"Let's get going, you must be hungry. Sorry the young ones kept running around with you."he chuckled, holding open both doors for me like a gentleman before walking along side with me to the restaurant.
"Please, I had fun today. I bet you did too."
"Of course, it's always lively when all of us are together."he said.
The dark sky, the bright paper lanterns, the loud children who ran around with toys and playing games just made today even more lively."I really like it here."
"Me too. But it can never beat my home town back in Korea."Hoseok said, looking at the moon that hovered right above us."I'd love to show you around there."
"That sounds fun."I smile, making him blush bright red.
'It might just be the red lanterns.'
"We're here!"he suddenly called, motioning to a restaurant door and opening it up for me."Ladies first."
"Such a gentleman."I tease, taking the tie he held in his hand."I'll help you with this inside."
I went through the motions until we got to a table for two. It looks like Hoseok's been here before and made a reservation. He even knew some of the workers by name, how many times has Bangtan been to Osaka?
"Eat whatever you like, I'll pay."he persisted, preparing for the inevitable denial I was already going to say."I'm your oppa, and I already told my friends here to only take my money."
"Fine."I sigh in defeat, pouting over at the waiters who snickered behind him."Thank you Hoseok-opp- I mean, Hoseok-senpai. We are in Japan after all."
"I could get used to being called 'Hoseok-senpai'."he smirked, a waitress walked next to him with her notepad ready.
I ordered some miso soup and tempura while he just said 'The usual.'."How many times have you been here Hoseok-senpai?"I ask when the waitress went back into the kitchen.
"Every time we came to Osaka. You better get used to it too, this is where the guys go for meals too."he explains, saying that this restaurant had made a deal with PDnim to keep their staff quiet about idols' privacy in public.
"Ah, I see."I looked at the tie that was still in my hand and giggled."Do you know how to put a tie on?"
"...Well...no. Not really."he admitted with a small laugh at the end."Ties aren't really my thing, but I thought I'd attempt it tonight."
"Want me to put it on for you?"I ask, not even waiting for a response when I got out of my seat and noticed the lack of people in the room anyway.
I stood in front of him while he shifted in his seat a bit so I could show him how to put it on. My posture changed a bit so I could get to see the right angle of his collar and wrapped the blue and silver cloth around it.
"So first, you wrap it around your neck like this. Then you fold the left side up and into the loop. Then same with the right. After that you grab the first side and slide it into the very middle of the loop and tighten it. That's basically it."I adjust his tie, my movements followed my voice and it was perfectly aligned with his shirt buttons.
I smiled and walked back to my seat to see my works from afar."You look good in a tie."
"T-Thanks."he stuttered, trying to fight the smile that couldn't help but form on his face.
The food came by and we ate joyfully, laughing and feeding each other and holding in our laugh when we earned some attention from other customers. Hoseok paid the bill and we headed out of the restaurant after the satisfying dinner. Once I walked outside the cold wind brushed past me and a chill ran through my spine. Hoseok walked out, oblivious to the fact I was ignoring the cold air by flashing him a smile. We walked around the neighborhood, admiring the homely feeling the place had in the middle of the night. It was at least past ten and all the children were nonexistent in the adult-filled streets. As a few minutes outside passed I walked by a small convenience store at the corner of a row of buildings. A light bulb went off in my head and I stopped walking, Hoseok stopped next to me.
"Hoseok-senpai can you wait out here for a second?"I ask, grasping the door handle of the glass door.
He nodded and leaned against the door frame as I went inside. A small ring of a bell signalled my arrival as I walking into the store. I looked around and decided to buy two cups of Kohi Zeri, which was my favorite dessert here in Japan. I walk back out and hand one to Hoseok who took it and spooned me a mouthful.
"I remember when Jiminie made me try this! I forgot what it was called so I didn't know where to find it!"he gasps, letting me feed him a few spoons."Mmm, so good!"
I feed myself a few and warmed up to his happiness.
'He's just such a ray of sunshine.'
A strong midnight breeze blew past us, picking up my hair and blowing it over my face in the process just as I released a high pitched sneeze.
"I guess it's too cold now that the sun's down."Hoseok sighed."Let's get back to the hotel before the managers gets mad."
I nod my head and feel some weight shift onto my shoulders. My head snaps to the side to see Hoseok's hands on my shoulders just so he could place his black jacket over me.
"Are you sure you don't want your jacket?"I ask, holding the jacket tighter around me when the wind started blowing."It's really cold. Sorry I couldn't bring my own."
"No, it's alright. At least now I can snuggle into you for warmth."he winks, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and pulling me close.
"You're so cliche."I giggle, going along with his actions.
We arrive at the hotel and he walks me to the hallway near mine. He stood before me and smiled, shoving his hands into his dress pants pockets with a sigh.
"I had fun tonight. Thank you Hoseok-senpai."I say, hugging him tightly while handing him his jacket.
"I had fun too."he smiles, ruffling my hair."See you tomorrow alright. Make sure to get some rest."
"Mhm, I will."I nod, waving him off to his room."Good night!"
"Good night Roxi."
I turn around and walk toward the direction of the hotel room until Hoseok's voice stopped me from walking any further."And Roxi?..."
"Yeah?"I ask, turning my head to face him.
There was an unsure and glazy look in his eyes."I...Stay safe until the show okay..."
"Mhm, I promise."I say, turning around and heading to my room for a good night's rest.
