It was a sunny day as Shikamaru walked down the familiar path. The wind caressing at his cheek almost lovingly. A sigh escaped him as he made it to where his destination was. Walking down the rows he stopped. He looked down feeling the same sadness fill him.

Kira Nara.

He glared at the grave filled with remorse it had been a few years since he was too late. Too late to save her from those creeps and he still hated himself. If he had been quicker. If he hadn't stalled. He bent down taking a seat next to his lovers grave. He missed her. The only pleasure he got out of it was knowing they were dead aswell. Kakashi had killed them as she took her last breath in Shikamarus arms. A loving smile plastered across her face.

The smile haunted him, he'd wake up in the middle of the night crying over the scene. His friends tried to help him but they didn't understand his pain.

A hand was placed on the man's shoulder not even shocking him he didn't feel anything but hatred and sadness these days.

"You know she'd kill you if she saw you moping around like this."

Shikamaru didn't have to look to know it was Kakashi. They had become close only because they both lost the person they loved the most. They understood that they weren't alone, they had someone who was feeling the same thing.

Kakashi sat next to the spiky haired kid and sighed as he pulled down his mask. He too, was angry at the events that took place. Seeing her die a second time was worse than the first. What kept him sane was actually Shikamaru. It sounded sick but just knowing he was going through the same thing maybe even worse than he was, was comforting.

"Yeah?" He obviously wasn't listening stuck in his thoughts and Kakashi sighed scooting closer and threw an arm around him. Shikamaru was shocked but felt comforted at the act.

"Go on. Let it all out. It's okay to cry." Shikamaru glared at his hands as they slowly blurred. He did what Kakashi said to do. He let all of the pain he was feeling in tears and screams of anger. All while the silver haired man held him.

"You'll see her again when it's your time to. Right now? Live. Love. Move on." His words made the spiky haired man cry harder as he was comforted by his friend.

"Thank you." He said after awhile leaning back and staring up at her headstone. He could've swore he saw Kira smiling at him but her face disappeared as soon as he spotted her.

He nodded smiling a little, feeling a little better. He would wait until they meet again.

Shikamaru Nara.

"Mum do you think he was happy?" Temari stared down at her husband's grave sadly. They had been together a long time and she was an old woman now. Shikadai was a grown man.

"He is now, Shika. Come let's leave them be now." She bent placing a single rose on the grave right next to her husband's.

Kira Nara.

Temari silently thanked the girl she use to know for letting her love Shikamaru for as long as she did.

"Let who be?" Shikadai washed the tears away from his face.

"Hush child let's go." He shrugged figuring his mother was having an elderly moment. He took one last look at his father's grave and smiled. His dad was one of the best people he knew. He wasnt sad he was gone just that he wouldn't be able to talk to him anymore but he knew he'd see him again someday.

Kira POV

I was happy he had moved on, it was torture watching him spend so many years alone. I'd have to thank Temari for making him happy again.Kakashi had loved again as well and that made me happy. He had passed a few years before and I was happy to see him but saddened his life had ended. It was nice to know he lived a full life though and even had a couple of kids. He moved on with his partner and I was still here waiting for my Shikamaru to join me.

I watched in sadness as Temari led her son away. He should've been here by now. He probably moved on already. I smiled sadly at the thought but was happy. He deserved happiness.

I sat on the bench outside of ichirakus. The place where he had first found me, sighing. I guess I'll just hang around then.

"Is that seat taken?" Instantly my non existent heart beat raced. I slowly looked up and didn't see the old man I had come accustomed to watching. He was here. My Shikamaru.

Tears built up, I didn't realize I could cry.

"Shikamaru." My voice was the same as always but he seemed to look like he had just heard the best sound in his life. He still wasn't moving just watching me. I got up impatiently walking towards him and reached up putting my hand against his face. I could feel him. I let out a laugh hugging him tightly.

"God I missed you." I squeezed him. Breathing in his scent. He smelled like ... Home. He pulled back looking down at me unsure.

"It feels like I'm dreaming. I haven't seen you in so long. It's hard to remember what you look like but then again everything about you is so familiar... I was an old man." He trailed off tucking the same strand that was always out of place behind my ear.

"Mmm and you had a son too. Beautiful boy." I reached up and trailed my fingers across his jaw. It had been a long time since I had seen his face as well. He had grown old so fast and I had missed my Shikamaru.

"I love you... I'm sorry I didn't save you..." I kissed him cutting off his apology. It wasn't his fault at all. I pulled away leaning my head against his chest. I was finally content.

"I missed you so much. We have so much to catch up on." He nodded looking down at me only love in his dark eyes.

"I love you Nara." He chuckled bringing me into a tight hug.

"I love you too.... Obsessively.
