WHY SMITH?!

Like a well powered vessel we all start to transform the pod into a ship.

"Hey you missed a spot." Doctor Smith says behind her locked door. Lexi rolls her eyes why am I always stuck working near the manipulator she thought. ignoring her and continuing to work.

"Come onnn! This is so boring and your decently nice I can tell with how you act with Will." She says slyly. Lexi's whole face heats up and she sighs in defeat "Fine Smith we can talk till I am done but no funny business or I am out." She says while working.

They talked till finally Lexi finished her work, only half the pod to go hopefully Don got some work done and not just been hanging out and kissing Judy she thought smiling.

She raises up stretching. "So your clearly smart and sweet, I guess thats why you and Will are such a good match, you guys are always together and I even see him walk to your room at night." Smith says smirking behind her window. (The extra I wrote about Will and Lexi is sorta true in the normal story, Will walks the ship and by Lexis door alot but yet to go in her room at night, we will see in the future hehe)

Dont kill the phony Doctor she will pay for her crimes eventually Lexi thought over and over trying to calm herself.

"Ok we are done here. Me and Will's relationship status is none of your business. " she said glaring at Smith and started to walk away.

"I know you love him you will have to tell him one day especially with this life." Smith yelled as Lexi kept walking till she was as far from Smith as she could.

I know I need to tell him how I feel, but he doesn't need that right now all he wants is to find Robot I don't want to ruin that, once we find Robot I will try to tell him. Lexi thought leaning against the wall to calm herself.

"Don't worry I know Smith is a pain but the key is to not let her words get to you." Penny said smiling at her from the common area. Across from the wall she was leaning on.

Lexi couldn't help but chuckle at that statement and walk over to her. Smith makes that hard to forget sometimes she thought walking over to Penny and sitting beside her.

"How is the book coming along I call first copy." She said excitedly feeling all her pervious thoughts melting away.

"I knew you would say that, Well congratulations here is the first copy." Penny said grinning at her. "Yayyy good job Pen I am going to read it now!" Lexi said pulling her into a tight hug. "Sadly it will have to wait my dad needs some help with the ship and called for you." She says still in my gasp.

"Aw well I guess duty calls, can you take this to my room for me?" Lexi says releasing her and standing. "Of course as long as you don't suffocate me with hugs next time." Penny said smirking at me.

"You spark a hard bargain I will only give you one hug next time....maybe. I will see you later bye Penny and one more thing be careful around Smith she is getting even more tricky with every day." Lexi says smiling and leaving Penny after she promised to be safe.

"So you're telling me if we don't put the sails at the perfect angle it will destroy the pod and likely kill us all." John says beside me looking down at my papers, as I am trying to figure out all the equations for the wind, pod, and ocean. "Yes, but I think we got a good chance of making it to those rocks by the lightning strike if everything goes as planned. " Lexi says smiling up at him.

John scoffs at that remark, "Does anything go according to plan with us?" Lexi couldn't help but laugh at the memories of all the failed plans but they always made it through. That was the Robinsons, it's why Lext admired them so much. They always found a way and never gave up even when odds were stacked against them.

"True point but if so we will still get there," Lexi said smirking "plus you're the Robinsons, it's out of the question."

John just lightly pushed her shoulder. "Fine. You win, now lets get to work."

Just like she predicted all the work on the pod into a ship was finished quickly and efficiently.

"You ready for sea? I could use me a worthy first mate and you seem like the best one strawberry. " Will said pulling Lexi from her thoughts smiling.

"Me? Really I thought you would choose Penny or Judy, maybe even your mom." She said teasing Will. "They are all amazing but their not you." He said smiling wide.

Man he is so cute. Lexi thought blushing.

"Ok I will be your first mate as long as you help me set up everything with Don." I say getting up. Will just smiled and nodded following you.

"Maybe Debbie would do better at this, it's so much work! Why are we doing this again?" Don says grumpily working on the angle of sails.

"Because we need to get back to the resolute to make it to Alpha Centari." Judy states glaring at Don.

"Ok fine I do want to go there only because I get to start my life with you, Doc." He says smirking up at her.

Me and Will try not to laugh at Judy's red flustered face. "What about me big brother, you forgot to add your adorable sister. " Lexi says pretending to pout but chuckling.

"Don't worry you will always be apart of my life and plus when we get there you can also settle roots with Will." Don says knowing just how to tease me. Me and Will's faces turned bright red from the comment.

But before Will or anyone could say anything. Penny runs up and tells us to finish up that we are setting sail. Saved by the bell, she thought laughing.

"Set sail!" John yells

"Be safe and watch the water." Mary adds as the pod sets into the sea. (Once again I changed it to Mary for my benefit.)

The ship sailed into the water leaving the stretch of island that I had called home for 6 months. It was sad to leave but she knew wherever Don and the Robinsons were that was here home.

The water was rough and unsettling. Lexi knew alittle about sailing but no enough for this.

"You really need to watch the port side instead of watching that cute boyfriend of yours." A annoying voice said behind Lexi as she peered into the ocean.

Lexi turned around and glared at Doctor Smith "You aren't supposed to be out why are you here." She said cautiously.

"Well Penny let me out, I am a amazing navigator. " Smith said smirking. I dont trust her at all, Lexi thought looking her up and down but she didn't have a choice Penny let her out and Lexi was going to have to deal with it for now.

"Fine but If you ruin this for us, you will never leave that room again." She said sternly.

Smith just laughed "I already don't leave that room but I won't ruin this so no worries. She takes one last look at Lexi with her manipulative eyes walking towards Penny and John.

This is going to be bad, she thought sighing to herself.

Time passed sailing was easy almost to easy.

Crack! The sail started to fall "Will! Look out!" Lexi said running and pushing him out of the way. The post almost hit them both, laying only inchs from the teens that were now on top of eachother and now the wind and rain was now ripping around them. It was pouring a storm just started a bad one too.

She looked down at Will's loving eyes, so close Lexi wanted to kiss him so bad, even in all this rain. But snapped out of it, we need to work and he doesn't like me like that Lexi thought sadly and got off of him. They both were still blushing but got to work on the wet ship.

" If we don't get the sail up we won't ever, make it to those rocks on time. Will yelled over the rain. Everyone nodded in agreement even Doctor Smith.

" Will, could we take some of that wire we were testing yesterday and tie it to the post if we do it right we can make it hold against all this weight. " Lexi said looking at everyone for opinions and comments.

"Good idea we can make it work." Don said smiling at her.

Lexi rushed getting the wire ready, twisting and getting it where it would fit the post downstairs. "That was a amazing idea." Will said joining you, and helping fix the wire.

"Well it was your idea yesterday to test its strength so its more of your making. " She said bumping his shoulder with hers playfully.

"Thank you, Lexi." Will said grabbing her hand softly in his.

"Your welcome but for what Will?" Lexi said smiling at him and there hands.

"For helping my family, for staying by me and giving me hope with Robot, for treating me with so much kindness. It means everything to me." He said softly, looking at her blushing, Lexi could feel her heart race at his gaze and words. He was the one for her and hopefully she could be with him one day. Lexi thought her face heating up.

"I always will do that for you, your my Will and thank you for staying by me and choosing me to be your first mate, now lets get this sail fixed so we can set roots together in Alpha Centrai." She said smiling giving his hand one last squeeze and they both walked on deck with wire in hand.

The wire squeezed in Lexi's hands as rain pelted her back it was almost painful doing work like this but they were so close and it had to be done.

Don seemed to be having the same problem but was also pushing through the pain. So close! "Got it!" Don yells happily, after he said that my end fixed itself too.

She sighs in the rain leaning on the deck clutching her sore hands. Please never again, Lexi thought. Then out in the rainy mist rocks started to appear. We got it fixed just in time.

The ship came closer and closer to the rocks everyone started to head down into the pod for safety.

They made it to the rocks another accomplishment for the Robinsons, and another step closer to finding the resolute.

Lexi smiled and walked over to Will's side. Everyone was still soaked but they were happy at their success.

She leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled looked out the window. "1,2,3... now!" They both counted and like clockwork the lightning stuck the rocks and gave life and power to the pod.

They finally had enough energy to make it off of danger and back to the resolute. Happiness and joy filled the pod and Will pulled Lexi into a big hug and after releasing her still had his arm around her as they prepared to go into space.

They were one step closer to settling into a forever home and getting back to the resolute. And even better they had family to complete it.
