Chapter 1

15:09, 28 September 2018

It was about 12:00 p.m when we got to the Central City Airport and there was only about one hundred people around. Most of them were on their phones while other were getting on a planes. I know this city is big so why is their nothing going on? It's practically abandoned, where is everybody?

"Hey son, I'm going to head onto the rental house and settle in. If you want, I'll take your stuff and you can go check out that Particle Accelerator being activated. Here's you some money to get some food. All I ask you to do is don't get kidnapped. Have fun!" My dad reached into his pocket and pulled out one hundred bucks to give me. He sat it in my hand and took my suitcase out the door to a Uber that was parked out front. There was a crust old man that looked like he could jump someone, but I didn't say anything. If he tried something, my dad would kick his ass before he had a chance to pull out a gun.

After he threw the stuff in the man's trunk, he jumped in the front seat and rolled down the window to talk with me.

"See you, son! Remember, your cousin works at Star Labs so she would probably love to see you! Talk to you later!" He rolled the window back up and before the Uber diver drove off, I was able to scream my goodbyes.

"Bye dad! See you at the house!"I screamed, then made my way down the street. I'm not going to get a taxi yet, I'll just walk around. It's a nice day, plus the map on my phone says there is a coffee shop two blocks away, so I think I'll go by there. It's really freaking cold here, so a latte sounds really good to me.

As I made my way down the street, some man came running my way with a women's purse. He was screaming at people and pushing them out the way, so he most likely stole that. When he got close enough to me, I could see he was about to knock me down and the best thing I could do was do what my dad always told me. Be a hero if you can.

I grabbed his arm, put my leg out, and pushed him over. He fell with a loud thud, which was definitely his head hitting the concrete. Yep, he was out cold. Haha, get it. It was cold outside and he was knocked out and.... never mind, he got up and I had to be a smart ass.

"Hey buddy, nice purse, but pink isn't really your color. I think red would suit you more, or maybe a maroon color. Hate to be the fashion police, but I'm going to have to confiscate this." I took the purse, and kicked his head. I reached into his pocket, pulled out his gun, then detached the clip, which made the bullets pour out into the street. "Can someone give this to the police when they arrive? I really need some coffee." I gave it to one of the people videotaping, then continued to the coffee shop.

I have been around the supernatural world way too long. What I did was totally bad ass! >>>

Around a minute later, I got to the door of the coffee shop to see it was called CC Jitters. There was only about five people in there and none were in line, so this should be simple. Coffee and WiFi, that's all I need for the next thirty minutes before I head to see Kate.

I walked inside, and up to the counter to see a beautiful girl with a smile plastered across her face. Her name tag said her name was Iris West, but her name should name angel for how gorgeous she was.

"Oh, That's so sweet of you to say." I snapped out of my train of thought and blushed a scarlet red. I said that out loud. Damn it Stiles, look at what you did! You probably dug your own grave for saying something about another guys girl.

"I'm-I'm so sorry Iris. I probably should have payed attention to my actions. Can I please get a medium vanilla latte and I'll be out of your hair." Iris chuckled at my awkwardness and rang up my order.

"That'll be $3.45, and it's fine. No one's given me a compliment like that in a long time. How old are you?" I handed over the money, nearly flipped my shit. That beautiful women, may have like little ol' Stiles, but she's probably way older than me so that's a let down.

"I just turned 18, you?" She handed the ticket off to another guy and he went to making the coffee while Iris and I talked. She walked around the counter and pulled me to a table to sit and talk about life. I plan to be in here for a hour, but since she's here, I can spare some extra minutes.

"I'm 23. I don't know if that's old to you, but I'd like to be your friend. You have a different, more kinder vibe, and not a lot of guys have that around here." The random dude came up to our table with my latte, sat it down, then walked away like it was nothing. Well he's very social. He hasn't said a thing the whole time I've been here. Fine, I'll just sip my coffee and talk with this hot chick all by myself.

"Thanks, and yes, I would love to be your friend. I'm actually not from around here. I'm from California, hence the large coat since I lack the adaptation to the cold." She laughed for a second, giving me time to take another sip of my drink. "You also must be really bored to be talking with a kid in high school." She shook her head, making me confused. She actually wants to talk with me on her own time? Wow, way to go Stiles! You have a friend older than you!

"No, I actually really enjoy talking with you, Stiles..." And it went on from there. We learned so much about one another, and figured out we have a lot in common. Both of us don't have our moms anymore, our dads are both cops, and we also both want to be detectives! How cool is that! I've also learned there is a guys names Barry that lives with her, and both his parents aren't around. Poor guy lost his mom to some killer and his dad got the blame for it all. Such a shame, but from what she's said, he's become a real man. He works for both the Police Department and Star Labs. This guy sounds like a hard worker, and with hard work comes hard cash. He apparently earns 30 dollars a hour at the police station and 40 at Star Labs. That's a good chunk of change.

"My cousin Caitlin Snow works there. I think she's been helping build the accelerator. She makes some pretty good money too. $56.21 a hour." She let out a long whistle, putting a grin on my face. She's funny. I like her.

"Dang, I know Kate! She's friends with Barry, but I didn't know she gets that kind of money! That's real good for her!" She replies. I agree, finishing my last bit of coffee.

"I was just on my way to see Caitlin before they turn on the particle thingy. Wanna join?" I asked, giving the empty cup to the random guy, who up and left again.

"Sure. Just let me clock out first." She jumped off the stool, and ran somewhere in the back.

Without warning the guy grabbed the back of my neck and slammed my head on the table. What the hell!?

"Listen Pal, Iris is mine and not interested in dating some kid, so when you say goodbye to her today, actually say goodbye forever. I never want you around her again, got it?!" He growled in a low tone. I rolled my eyes, but still nodded to get this fool off me.

He let go and walked off like nothing happened. The only way he got away with that was because no one was in here but me and him. Anyone else, he would have been fired right then and there. I'm not going to say anything to Iris about this because she'd probably think it was childish of me to whine about a man picking on me.

"Okay, lets go! Bye, Eddie!" She chirped. He smiled at her and I instantly walked away when he looked back down. What a ass hat. Playing innocent to her, but is psychotically in love with her. Creep.

"It's 1:55, We should get lunch before we go. Any good places around here?" I asked. She thought for a minute and shook her head.

"There isn't really anything that's original around here. Just a McDonald's and a couple other franchises, but don't worry. I talked with Barry, and turns out Catilin has been working on this big 'Welcome to Central City!' party and she's got catering from this nice Chinese place on the other side of town. She was about to call you up there, but Barry's going to tell her your coming with me. Now come hop in." We went into a alley and in it was a nice looking black Nissan car. We got in, backed out into the street, and made way to Star Labs. I've actually changed my mind. I think I'm really going to like it here.

>>>

When we got to the Labs, I couldn't help but run like a mother trucker towards the door. I know you need a key card to get in but I tried. What can I say. I was like an excited puppy. I hadn't seen Catilin since I was 10!

"Haha, slow down. I just texted Barry to come let us in. He should be here any second now." As she said that, I watched a guy in a sweater vest come running down the steps and to the door. He waved at us and slid his key card to open up the glass doors.

"Hey, you must be Stiles. Catilin has been looking forward to seeing you! Come on in, everyone's in the break room." Iris and I followed him up the steps to the second floor to see so many amazing things. Technology so advanced I didn't think they could invent it! Cold guns, fire guns, teleporters, tornado busters, ect.!

We went down about ten doors to the left and there was the break room. I looked through the glass to see my cousin, some guys with long hair, a old man with glasses, and some girl about sixteen years old. I ran in the room, then grabbed a hold of Catilin neck in shear happiness. I'm not letting go. Nope. To happy.

"STILES! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!" She screamed, latching onto my neck as well. "Oh my god, my little Stiles is all grown up. Eight years, a whole eight years! I'm never going to be away from you that long ever again!" She released my neck so I let go of her's. She placed a hand on my shoulder and introduced me to everyone in the room with us.

"You know Iris and Barry, but these other guys are probably new, so here's a quick run down. The guy with the long hair is Cisco, guy with the glasses is my boss, Dr.Harrison Wells, and the girl is my boss's daughter, Jesse Wells. Now that everyone's introduced, let eat and start up a Particle accelerator. What does everyone say?"Everyone cheered, said their hello's, and started making their plates, but before I could, I got a call.

I looked down at the caller I.D to see Scott was calling me. I haven't seen him in two days, and I need a update on Beacon Hills ASAP. I hit answer and held the phone up to my ear only to hear fussing between Liam and Scott.

"Put it on speaker!"Liam screamed

"You have super hearing, why would I do that!? Plus, I thought you hated Stiles!?" Scott argued back

"I don't hate him! I just sorta dislike him! Now, put it on speaker so I can ask about Central City!" Liam urged followed by a thud.

"I knew there was a catch! No! I called to see how my best friend was doing, not the city, so stay on the floor!" Scott laughed.

"Scott, is everything okay over there? Please tell me you didn't kill him." I snickered.

"Stiles! Nice to hear you man! How's Central City?" He asked. God I missed my best man, and even the crazy paranormal stuff we deal with together.

"Good. I made some friends already. They all know Kate, so they befriended me through her. Listen, I have to go. Sorry it's so soon, but I have to eat, and after that we're going to all go over to cut on the accelerator. I promise, when I have spare time, I'll call. 'kay?" There was a sigh on the other side of the line, letting me know Scott was sad about this. I hate doing this to him, but we need time apart for a health friendship.

"Oh, Okay Stiles." He said in a depressing tone. Damn I feel real bad.

"Listen, If you have any of our 'special' and 'un-normal' problems, call me and I promise I'll help. Love you, man. Talk to you later." I mumbled, before I hung up and putting the phone back into my pocket.

"Is everything okay Stiles?" Barry asked me. I lied by nodding with a fake smirk. I was so upset for doing that to my best friend.

"Yeah man, Let's chow down."
