04:36, 24 December 2024☆Fiyero's POV☆The next morning, just before sunrise, the guards came to collect me. I gulped and looked at the guards. They hunted for Elphaba with me. These men attempted to kill me before the spell was cast. I hated seeing them again. I was brought out onto the stage.
"Citizens of Oz," Glinda called out. "Yesterday, I have discovered a traitor among us! The Scarecrow had been working with the witch! For this act of treason, the Scarecrow shall burn!" A crowd began to cheer. I looked out to see Elphaba. Glinda brought the torch over and set the stake on fire. Thankfully, I didn't burn. I pretended to scream in agony. A few moments later, I was dropped down. I ran to the end of the tunnel to be greeted by Elphaba.
"Come on," Elphaba stated. "We just have to get to the border of Oz." We took off running. Once we reached the edge of Oz, Elphaba's spell wore off and she was back to normal. I hugged Elphaba and kissed her.
"Definitely prefer the green skin." I stated.
"I love you so much." Elphaba stated. Elphaba kissed me again. I helped Elphaba onto the carriage before jumping onto the carriage myself. We made our way to the cottage. Elphaba held onto my arm with one hand and her bump with the other. I still couldn't believe she was carrying my child.
"I'm going to see the heart beat tomorrow by the way." Elphaba stated. "It's so exciting. I can't wait to see it." I smiled.
"You haven't seen the heart beat?" I questioned.
"Not yet." Elphaba stated. "I had to wait a bit." I looked at my fiancée and smiled.
"Am I allowed to come?" I asked.
"Of course," Elphaba stated. "I want you to see our baby." Elphaba kissed my cheek. I smiled at Elphaba.
"I think the court house nearby the cottage is open." I stated.
"Are you suggesting we get married today?" Elphaba asked.
"Yes." I replied. Elphaba shook her head.
"I want to wait for Glinda." Elphaba stated. "Now that she knows we're alive, I want her to be there."
"Alright." I stated. "We'll send her a letter when we get home. See when she can come down next." Elphaba yawned.
"I'm going to take a nap." Elphaba stated. I kissed the top of Elphaba's head.
"Get some rest my dear." I stated. Elphaba fell asleep on my shoulder. As we rode, I saw a strange looking clock. It had a very realistic dragon carved on top and it was being carted around by a dwarf.
What is that thing? I thought. I pulled over to check it out.
"Welcome!" The dwarf beamed. "I see you're here for the show!"
"The show?" I asked. That was when the tower opened. The show played out Elphaba faking her death and us running away together. It showed Elphaba and I leaving Oz and heading to the cottage. It showed me leaving Elphaba. The puppets showed me an anxious looking Elphaba, crying for me as she was alone. I woke Elphaba up and pointed to the show.
"That's just scary..." Elphaba mumbled.
☆Elphaba's POV☆3 weeks ago...I woke up one morning feeling nauseous as hell. I began throwing up in the mop bucket as it was the closest thing to me.
"Ugh...." I muttered. Chistery came galloping in with a confused look on his face.
What is wrong with me? I thought.
"Chistery," I asked. "Can you please go get a doctor? Any doctor?" Chistery nodded and flew off. I took a deep breath and sighed. A few minutes later, Chistery came back with a doctor. I could tell the doctor was an Animal. He looked like a dog. Maybe a wolf?
"Hi," The doctor stated. "My name is Dr. Pichler. What seems to be the problem....?" I sighed in frustration, knowing he thinks it has to do with the green skin.
"First things first," I stated. "No, I'm not seasick, yes, I've always been green, no, I didn't chew grass as a child." The doctor wrote something down on a note pad.
"Okay," Dr. Pichler stated. "Noted. Now, do you have any allergies I should be aware of?"
"I'm allergic to water." I replied. Dr. Pichler looked at me funny.
"That may be a problem," Dr. Pichler stated. "I can smell that you have been throwing up. You don't have the flu, otherwise it would have a pungent smell. If I may ask.... Are you... Active? In the bedroom?" I shook my head.
"Last time I slept with anyone," I stated. "It was with my boyfriend in the forest." Dr. Pichler sniffed the air again.
"Yeah...." Dr. Pichler stated. "You're pregnant. I can smell it in your sweat." I gasped.
"Really?!" I beamed. Dr. Pichler pulled out a machine and signalled me to lay down. After some examination with the machine, Dr. Pichler showed me a picture.
"You're about nine weeks." Dr. Pichler stated. "Don't get too excited yet. I want to make sure everything is okay. I'll come back in a couple of days." Dr. Pichler got up and we shook hands. After booking a time, Dr. Pichler walked out. I looked down at my stomach and began crying. The tears were burning my face.
"I can't believe it." I cried. "I thought I was alone this whole time. I thought I will be alone forever with Fiyero gone so much." Chistery came over and nudged me. I hugged my flying monkey and cried more, my face burning.
I'm not going to be alone anymore. I thought. I'll never be alone again. Never. Chistery wiped my tears and went to grab me a snack. He brought me a banana, peeled it open, and handed it to me.
"Thanks Chistery." I stated. "I don't know how I'll tell Fiyero. I know he will be excited, but I'm also sure there's a chance he'll run. I know it." Chistery shook his head, reassuring me Fiyero wouldn't do that. I just laid on the sofa for the remainder of the night. Chistery stayed by my side to keep me company.
