"Who else knows about the plan?" Deaton asked Scott as I fixed my skirt. "Derek ... yeah Derek knows." Scott nodded. "Then call him." Deaton ordered and Scott looked at me so I nodded and called Derek.

"What's he doing here?" Scott asked Derek as he walked through the door of the animal clinic with Isaac. "I need him." Derek answered. "I don't trust him." Scott muttered and Isaac swung his head to the side. "Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you either." Isaac barked back. "You know what? And Derek really doesn't care. Now where's the vet? Is he gonna help us or not?" Derek asked.

"That depends. Your friend, Jackson. Are we planning to kill him or save him?" Deaton asked, coming around the corner to face Derek. "Kill him." Derek stated as Scott said, "Save him. Save him. Save him." He glared at Derek to which Derek just rolled his eyes.

Isaac reached out to play with the material that Deaton had placed on the table but Derek grabbed Isaac's arm. "Watch what you touch." He ordered so Isaac leaned onto the table and looked at Deaton. "So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" He asked with a smirk. "No, I'm a veterinarian." Deaton retorted and I bit my lip to prevent myself from laughing at Isaac's face. "Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin."  Deaton continued and Derek crossed his arms. "We're open to suggestions." He said.

"What about an effective offense?" I asked and Derek shook his head. "We already tried. I nearly took its head off. And Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." I crinkled my nose and turned to Deaton. "Has it shown any weaknesses?" He asked and Derek nodded.  "Well, one - it can't swim" I answered and Derek nodded at me again.

"Does that go for Jackson as well?" Deaton asked so Scott shook his head. "No. He's the captain of the swim team." He told his boss. "Essentially, you're trying to catch two people." Deaton turned around before getting a little figure out. "A puppet - and a puppeteer. One killed the husband, but the other had to take care of the wife. Do we know why?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows, "I don't think Jackson could do it. His mother died pregnant too, and she was maybe murdered. I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." I argued and Isaac turned to me. "How do you know it's not part of the rules? The kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies too." He rose his eyebrows at me and Scott defended me by saying, "Does that mean your father was a murderer?"

My jaw dropped as I looked at Scott in shock. "Wouldn't surprise me if he was." Isaac shrugged and I felt bad. "Hold on. The book says they're bonded, right? What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson, but from the person controlling him? What if something that affects the kanima also affects its master?" Derek waved his hands around and Isaac crinkled his nose. "Meaning what?" He questioned and I sighed. "Meaning we can catch them. Both of them." I explained.

We watched as Deaton poured something black around his little figure and I tilted my head to the side.

After working a few things out, I went home with Derek and Isaac. "When are we getting Elliot back?" I asked Derek and he shrugged. "We have to get rid of Jackson, if you don't want your brother to die." He told me and I furrowed my eyes before crossing my arms. "I love it when you're in a good mood." I smiled sarcastically and walked up to my room to do some homework. Eventually I got bored and went to bed after showering.

"Hey. Wake up. You're going to be late." I opened my eyes to see Derek packing my bag. I groaned before slowly trotting over to my wardrobe to find myself some decent clothes for school and possibly some werewolf drama after school.

I followed Isaac into Derek's car before jumping back out at the school. I rushed to catch up with Scott and Stiles who were talking about the show. "There's got to be some other way to get tickets, right?" Scott asked and I skipped along next to him. He looked down at me and smiled before pecking my forehead. "It's a secret show. There's only one way, and it's a secret." Stiles stopped when Matt caught up to us. "Hey. Either of you guys know why no one's getting suspended after what happened the other day at school?" He asked and I could literally smell the hate off of Stiles. "Just forget about it. Nobody got hurt." He groaned and Matt gasped. "I - I had a concussion." He stammered so Stiles shrugged. "Well, nobody got seriously hurt."

"I was in the E.R. for six hours." Matz pointed out and I shared a glance with Scott. "Hey, do you want to know the truth, Matt? Your little bump on the head is about this high on our list of problems right now." Stiles crouched down to make a point. I pulled him back up and turned to Matt. "Are you okay?" I asked him and he nodded with furrowed eyebrows. "Yeah, I'm fine now. So you didn't get any tickets last night either." He asked and Scott's head shot up. "Are they still selling?" He asked and Matt shook his head. "Uh, no, but I managed to find two online. You should keep trying. Sounds like everyone's gonna be there." With that said he walked off and Stiles looked down at me before saying, "I don't like him" I rose my eyebrows in mock surprise and walked into the school with the two boys following me.

I sat with Allison and Lydia at Lunch but we were all silently thinking about our various problems.

After school I went with Scott to the vet. "Ketamine?" I asked. "It's the same stuff I use on the dogs, just a higher dosage. If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him down enough to buy you some time. This is some of what you'll use to create the barrier. This part is for you, Stiles. Only you." Deaton pointed at and I grimaced. "Uh, that sounds like a lot of pressure. Can we maybe find a slightly less pressure - filled task for me?" Stiles asked awkwardly and I put my hand on his shoulder. "It's from the Mountain ash tree, which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural. This office is lined with ashwood, making it difficult for someone like Scott to cause me any trouble." Deaton rose his eyebrows at Scott and he smiled.

"Okay, so then what? I just spread this around the whole building and then either Jackson or whoever's controlling him can't cross it?" He aksed, turning the jar with mountain ash around to get a better look at it. "They'll be trapped." Deaton confirmed.

"Doesn't sound too hard." Scott shrugged. "Not all there is. Think of it like gunpowder. It's just powder until a spark ignites it. You need to be that spark, Stiles." Deaton exclaimed and Stiles tilted his head. "If you mean light myself on fire, I don't think I'm up for that." He retorted. "Let me try a different analogy. I used to golf. I learned that the best golfers never swing before first imagining where they want the ball to go. They see it in their mind and their mind takes over. It can be pretty extraordinary what the force of your own will can accomplish." Deaton explained. "Force of will." I commented and Deaton nodded before turning back to Stiles. "If - if this is going to work, Stiles, you have to believe it." Deaton told my cousin who then nodded.

I went home with Stiles and as we got out of the Jeep his dad came around the corner in his car. Stiles ran inside, got something and rushed past his Dad. But something was wrong. "Hey. Can't talk, got to run. Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What's wrong?" He stopped his Dad and he turned around. "Nothing." He shrugged. "Oh. Where's your gun?" Stiles asked and I noticed that my uncle's Badge was gone as well. "I left it at the station along with my badge." My uncle muttered sadly. "What?" I asked. "It's all right. You know what? We'll talk about this later." He nodded and went to walk off. "Dad." Stiles softly said but the Sheriff shook his head. "Don't worry about it." He walked into the garaged but Stiles stopped him. "Dad!" He called. "It was decided that the son of a police chief stealing police property and having a restraining order filed against him by one of the town's most respected attorneys did not reflect well on the county." Stiles Dad said and I covered my mouth in shock. "They fired you?" I asked carefully. "Nah. Look, it's - it's just a leave of absence. It's - it's temporary." The sheriff stammered. "Did they say it was temporary or -" Stiles asked and I nervously glanced at my phone for time.

"Actually, no. You know, I - it's fine. Don't worry about it though. Hey. We're going to be fine." The sheriff forced a smile but Stiles shook his head. "Dad. I don't get it. Why - why aren't you angry at me?" He asked. "I don't know. Maybe I just don't want to feel any worse than I already do by having to yell at my son." The sheriff then walked into the garage and closed the automatic gate. I sighed and looked over at Stiles who was obviously feeling very guilty. "It's not your fault." I whispered as we drove to Scott's house. Stiles didn't answer and just stared at the road ahead of us. I sank into my seat and glanced out of the window once in a while.

Scott jumped into the back and as soon as we got to the party location Stiles started unpacking the Jeep, unloading the mountain ash bags. "You okay?" Scott asked Stiles. "Yeah, why?" Stiles asked. "You just didn't say anything the whole way here." Scott reasoned and Stiles just shook his head. "No, I'm fine. Just grab the other bag." He nodded to the bag and Scott shook his head. "We can't. Remember Deaton said you have to do it alone." He told his best friend and Stiles rolled his eyes with a sigh. "Okay, this plan is really starting to suck." He muttered. I could sense the Argents and so did Scott. I sighed and Scott shook his head fanatically. "No. Not here, not now." He groaned before running off. "What? Scott! What am I supposed to - plan officially sucks." He looked at me before closing his Jeep and walking off. I threw my hands in the air before rushing to catch up with Scott.

"What are you doing?" Scott asked Allison just as I arrived. "I'm going out with Matt." Allison shrugged and I looked around for Isaac and Erica. "No, not here. You don't get it. We have a plan." I told Allison and her eyes went wide. "You have a plan? Okay, okay. My father and Gerard, they're coming here." She stuttered and I facepalmed. "What did you tell them?" Scott asked. "I - I told them -" She stuttered but Scott interrupted her. "Allison!" He shouted and she cowarded away so I pulled Scott away. "I - I had to tell them." She defended herself and I bit my lip. "Oh, my God, they know it's Jackson." I looked at Scott with big eyes. "People are dying. What am I supposed to do?" Allison asked us. "You're supposed to trust us." Scott groaned.

"I trust you guys more than anyone." She said and I shook my head. "We've - we had a plan." I stuttered. "So do they." Allison told me but Scott shook his head. "This isn't going to work." He groaned and Allison sighed. "What do you want me to do? Okay, I can - I can fix it. Please, please. Just tell me." She begged but Scott shook his head. "Just stay out of the way." He growled before rushing off into the other direction. "Scott!" She called before looking at me helplessly. "Please just stay out of the way!" I called before running after Scott.

"Why me?" Isaac asked as I handed him the Needle with the stuff that Deaton gave us. "Because I got to make sure that Argent doesn't completely ruin the plan. Okay, look, you better do it intravenously which means in the vein. When you find him, you pull back on this plunger right here. In the neck probably is going to be the easiest. So you find a vein, you jam it in there, and pull back on the trigger. Be careful." Scott looked Isaac in the eye and I nodded. "Oh, I doubt it'll even slightly hurt him. "No, I mean you. I don't want you to get hurt." Scott sighed and I decided to leave them to it so I rushed outside before Stiles could seal the mountain ash.

I saw Derek and Boyd in front of the Argents. My eyes widened and I stood on the other side of Derek. "Derek. Back off." Allison's father commanded and Derek chuckled coldly. "Back off? That - that's really all you've got? I got to be honest, Chris. I was really expecting more from the, uh, big, bad veteran werewolf hunter."  Derek mocked. "Okay, then. How about didn't anyone ever tell you not to bring claws to a gunfight?" Chris smiled at us and Boyd gulped as they all brought out their gigantic guns. "That one sounded pretty good." Boyd pointed out and I growled at the Argents before dodging a bullet form Gerard.

I pushed over one of the Argents' little minions and seeked shelter behind a metal pipe. I yelped as one of the little minions jumped onto the metal pipe and held a gun to my head. I growled at him before grabbing his ankles and tearing the gun off his hands. I punched another guy with the gun before escaping their little cage that they had built around me. I leaped into the air and kicked another 'soldier' away from Boyd. Boyd nodded at me and we turned around to see that only Gerard and Chris were left standing, facing Derek. I went to attack but Boyd pulled me back. I struggled in his grip but Derek sniffed the air and looked at me with panicky eyes. So I sniffed as well and smelt death. My eyes widened as Derek took off.

Boyd let go of me and told me that I should follow so I easily caught up with Derek.

We arrived at the part where Stiles had sealed the mountain ash. "Scott?" I asked Derek and he nodded. "What?" Stiles asked as he turned around and looked at us. "Break it." Derek commanded and Stiles shook his head. "What? No way." He protested and I growled at him. "Scott's dying!" I hissed and he crossed his arms. "Okay, what? How do you know that?" He asked and I turned to Derek. "Oh, my God, Stiles, I just know! Break it!" He yelled and so Stiles kneeled down to break the seal. Derek and I immediately ran to the room our scent led us to.

I rammed the door and I almost fainted. I pulled myself together and picked Scott up when suddenly Mrs. Argent lunged forward and stuck a knife into my shoulder pain. I groaned and Derek punced onto her. "Bite her!" I yelled and he shot me a questioning look. "They'll kill her!" I shouted before carrying Scott outside. Derek soon followed and wiped his mouth. He took Scott off me and we rushed to Stiles's Jeep. Stiles gasped and drove us to Deaton.

Deaton first took care of Scott and the off my wound. "The knife was covered in wolfsbane which means it will heal a little slower but you'll be ok." He smiled at me and I thanked him. Scott was lifelessly lying on the metal surface of the animal clinic. I slid down the wall and leaned my head on Derek's arm whilst he sat on a chair. Before Deaton left Derek thanked him as well.
