Chapter Twenty-Two:KNOCKING ON CLARKE'S DOOR

CLARKE'S POV:

After I walked the stage and recieved my diploma, the final speeches and finally exited the auditorium, I waited in the foyer for my family.

I saw Bellamy first, coming out of the double doors. He looked around, nervously touching his hair and gripping the bouquet of flowers in his other hand. He looked so sweet. I couldn't let him suffer anymore, I missed him like crazy, and I'm so happy he came. I made my way towards him, pushing passed the other families and saying a few quick hello's. I jumped into his arms, while he looked away. He stumbled back, and I laid my head onto his shoulder, clenching him tight. He regained his balance, wrapping his hands around my waist. I kissed his cheek once or twice, and hugged him tightly again.

He laughed," Hey there, goregous."

He set me down, holding my hand. We smiled at each other for a moment, before he held up the flowers. I blushed," You didn't have to."

He smirked," I know, I wanted to." I stepped forward, placing my hand on the back of his neck and kissing his lips, passionately. His one hand rose to my cheek, deepening the kiss. He mumbles," I missed you, terribly."

I pulled away," I missed you too," I sighed, looking away. I replaced my frown with a smile, meeting my parents.

My mother wrapped me in a tight hug, her eyes stained from tears. Kane smiled, holding Charlotte in his hands. She was asleep, unaware of everything. My mother stepped back, smiling and wiping her eyes. " I'm so proud of you, darling. You made it!"

I laugh, embarassingly," Mom, will you take a picture of Bellamy and I?" She nodded, and I handed my flowers to Kane. Bellamy and I stepped away, and he placed his hand on the small of my back. He kissed my head, and then we both smiled.

My mom smiled," You kids are adorable together."

I frowned, and found Raven in the mix of people stirring around. She rushed towards me, jumping into my arms. I hugged her back, and we both laughed. My mother held up her camera," Okay, Bellamy, out of the way, please. Girl's turn." He stepped away, smiling.

Raven and I posed multiple times and then she sped away to her family.

Kane mentions," We were going to go out for lunch, but we don't have to if you and Bellamy would like to eat together?"

I turn to Bellamy, wondering what he would think. He shook his head," I won't steal you away."

I grabbed his hand, whispering," No, please, join us. I'm leaving tomorrow, Bellamy."

He nodded," I'll follow you guys."

I smiled," I'll ride with you." I took his hand and we made our way outside. I swung our hands in the air, and we walked down the sidewalk. " I can't believe I just graduated? Isn't it crazy?"

He smiled," I'm so proud of you."

I blushed," I'm sorry you never got the chance to walk the stage."

" I have my diploma, that's all the really matters to me," he shrugs.

I nod," Crazy to think how far we've come since we were younger."

" Since your pigtails and chocolate milk obsession," he jokes.

" How about your baseball hat and those braces, huh? Remember that, mister?"

He laughs," Okay, enough!"

I laugh," I was there for all of your embarassing moments as much as you were there for mine!"

He nods slowly," We were always there for each other."

I cheer," And I wouldn't of wanted it any other way."

" What about the future, Clarke?"

I sigh," I have to do this for me, okay? Please, understand that. And I can't make you give up everything to follow me there. You have nothing there for you, Bellamy."

" And that's where you're wrong, Clarke. I'll have you there," he explains, smiling.

" What?"

He sighs," After much thinking, and sorting things out, making arrangements and calls, I'm coming with you."

" What?" I say again, my mouth growing big, and my heart fluttering.

He stops walking, kissing me. He whispers," I couldn't imagine not being with you. I can't move on, and I won't."

I shook my head," What about your family? Your job? Where are you going to stay?"

He laughs," I have to move out at some point, and I'll find a job, and I'm staying with you!"

" Wait, what?"

" Staying with you, in our new apartment."

" You got an apartment?"

" I have an appointment next Monday, but a hotel will work for the first night or two."

" You make me so happy."

" I tried to be okay with you leaving, but the thought of you not being here, made me sick to my stomach. I can't live without you." I start to get teary-eyed, squeezing his hand as we walked towards his car. He frowned," Don't cry, baby."

" I hated myself for deciding to leave, you don't leave someone you love! How could I?"

He shook his head," Don't beat yourself up over that, I know why you were, and I'm not upset. The opportunity is amazing. I'm coming no matter what, the problem is gone."

" I love you," I whispered.

" And I love you."

Ignore the title, this chapter didn't go as planned! BUT I think it turned out great, and I'm happy with it!

THIS IS NOT THE ENDING!!! I'm not that fluff-y, I need a little more action!

I was wondering for those of you that have read my other story, Hard to Love, if they'd be interested in an Octavia spin off I have mentioned before? I have a few chapters written and unpublished but for fun, maybe I'd write a couple more chapters and make it a short story? Up to you guys!
