BILLY

Raya wasted absolutely no time. Her kissing me was a breath of fresh air I needed.

We stumbled backwards into the bathroom, our lips locked in a battle for dominance, our tongues dancing together as I pushed her against the closed door. I slid my hands down her arm, grabbed her hands and moved them up so I had her pinned against the door.

I pulled away and looked at her. "God, I want to fuck you right here."

"So why don't you?" She taunted, her chest rising and falling with her heavy breaths.

"Because you're wasted and definitely don't want this."

"You have no idea what I want." She managed.

I let go of her and she sighed. "Will you take me to Steve's house?"

"Why Steve's house?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"I can't go home like this, plus it's better there." She slurred.

I nodded and took her hand, leading her to my car.

"Don't you dare throw up in here?"

I wouldn't dare." She mumbled.

I walked around to my side and hopped in. Raya was half asleep but as soon as she seen me, her eyes opened and she smiled at me.

"Your hot, Hargrove."

"How hot?" I asked, starting the car.

"Like too hot."

"Where does Steve live, honey?"

"Where do you live?" She demanded.

"Up old Cherry Road." I responded. "Now where is Harrington's house?"

She began mumbling instructions and I headed towards his house.

"Are you gonna keep undressing me with your eyes?" I asked.

She looked at me with an innocent look in her eyes. "Only until I can actually do it."

I chuckled with amusement at her behavior.

"Are Steve's parents home?"

"Nah they got some trip to do."

I parked in the street a bit away from the house so Steve wouldn't see my car and then helped her out of my car.

RAYA

I had the sensation of falling and then somebody slid their hands around my waist.

I groaned and leaned back into Billy's bare chest. His hands were warm against my abdomen.

"How are you not freezing?" Billy asked as he led me inside, his hands still on my waist.

"Can you stay the night?" I murmured, turning around to look at him on the second level of Steve's house.

"Why?"

"I don't want to be alone."

Billy's eyes softened and he nodded, his grip tightening on her. I took one of his hands and led him to my room. The walls were a grey color and she had several abstract paintings covering the walls. On the small desk I had sketchbooks and pictures of my life.

I collapsed on the soft bed and looked up at Billy. He took of his shoes and jacket. I felt the bed dip down as he laid down next to me.

"Goodnight, Billy."

"Goodnight, Raya."

🔷️

I woke with a pounding headache and no memory of a good portion of Tina's party. And somebody was in my bed.

I instantly turned around and seen the one and only Billy Hargrove curled up on my bed, his jacket on the floor.

My eyes widened.

"Billy? Hargrove? Billy!"

He sighed and turned around to face me. He looked so sleepy and adorable.

"What?" He asked, his voice hoarse.

"What happened-"

"Go back to sleep-"

"Billy-"

"Ten more minutes."

I groaned and rubbed my head. I decided it would be better if I showered and relaxed.

So I headed across the hall to the bathroom and took a quick shower, letting the warm water run over me, and clear my thoughts a bit. When I stepped out of the shower, I looked at the counter to find no clothes.

I swore and sighed. I wrapped a towel around myself and walked to the bedroom. I saw Billy laying on my bed. He was stretched out, his arms behind his head, his ankles crossed. He looked over at me and ran his eyes over my body. I blushed and then mentally cursed myself for it.

"I need you to get out." I told him.

"Why?" He asked, his eyes sparkling mischievously.

"I need to get dressed."

"I'll stay then."

I sighed and strolled to my dresser, aware Billy's ocean eyes watching me closely the entire time. I grabbed some clothes and hurried back to the bathroom, trying not to wake Steve, and quickly threw on some clothes.

I wore a sweater that was too big with sleeves that had to be rolled up, acid wash jeans, my Chuck Taylor's, and I brushed my hair.

I strolled back to my room to find Billy going through one of my sketchbooks. My eyes widened and I quickly snatched it from him.

"What the hell, Billy?"

"What?" He demanded.

"This is like a diary to me!" I shrieked. "You can't just be going through it without the artists consent-"

"You have seen a monster that's face is open like a flower?" He demanded.

Yes. "No, of course not."

"Then how did-"

"Raya?" Steve called.

My eyes widened and I quickly gestured for Billy to go to the window.

He nodded and I hurried out to the hallway, closing my door behind me.

"Who were you talking to?" Steve inquired.

"Myself."

His eyebrows raised but he said nothing as he headed back downstairs. I hurried back to my room to see if Billy was still there.

Much to my disappointment, he was not. I sighed but then noticed his jacket was sitting right where he left it.

I smiled and then put it in my back pack. Then I headed downstairs and found Steve in the kitchen, sitting at the island, his head in his hands.

"Steve?"

He looked up and I could see his worry and sadness. I sighed and went over and pulled him into a hug.

"What if Nancy doesn't love me? She said our relationship was bullshit." He murmured. "What have I done wrong? Moved on from what happened last year? God, I don't understand!"

"Steve-"

"Nobody truly loves me, Raya." He cried, his voice breaking and revealing how sad he actually was. "Not any girl, not my friends, not even my own goddamn parents."

I pulled away from him slightly and grabbed his chin and forced him to look at me.

"I love you."

"But not like I wanna settle down and get married love."

"How about this, if I'm not married by thirty and you're not either, we get married and have some little Harrington's?"

He chuckled and sighed, pulling me back in for a hug. "Can you tell me if Nancy likes Jonathan?"

"I don't know how Nancy feels, only how Jonathan feels. But he's not going to make a move on her." I explained.

"I love you, Raya."

"I love you, too."

🔷️

My morning was tiring, Mom had lost her keys and woke the whole house trying to find them.

Then I got a nice talk from Jonathan about how he doesn't see anything in Bob.

I was sitting with Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, and a few other friends at lunch when I spilled juice all over my shirt. I swore and hopped up and practically ran to the bathroom, embarrassed.

I dug through my backpack to see if I had an extra shirt but the only article of clothing was Billy's jacket from the Halloween party.

I shrugged out of my shirt and tossed it in the trash. Then I slid on his jacket. Zipped it up and exited the bathroom.

My next class was math, a class I had with Billy. I hoped he wouldn't show. I hadn't seen him since he left my room  the morning after the Halloween party.

I sat in the front of the class and didn't dare look to see if Billy was in the back. I could already see the smirk growing on his face.

I felt someone move my hair away from my ear from behind. I didn't dare take a breath.

"My jacket looks better on you than me, I suppose." He said lowly before walking back to his seat.

I let out the breath I was holding and tried not to blush profusely. I looked back at him to see him watching me closely but I noticed the bruise on his face.

I waited until after class to walk up to him. "Sorry about wearing your jacket, I spilt juice on my shirt."

"It's fine, darling."

"How did you get a bruise like that?"

"I tripped."

"How original."

"What-"

"What did you trip into?"

"A light pole."

"How?"

"Shoelace."

"When?"

"In the morning."

"Who hit you?"

"My da-" he swore.

"I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" He asked, his face was unreadable.

"Because you're going through something and I feel bad and I don't know what else to say."

"I don't need your pity." He snapped.

"It's not pity, it's understanding." I said, softly. "See you around, Billy."

I began to walk away when I felt his hand slip around my wrist. "Let me take you to your house or Steve's house."

I hesitated. "What about your step sister?"

"She'll be fine, she's late anyways."

I nodded. "Sure, I'll go with you."

He nodded and I walked with him to his car. I got in and watched him as he started the engine, changed gears, and then drove off.

"So which house?"

"My house."

"The day at Tina's-" My eyes widened and I began to wonder what he was going to say. "How were you not cold?"

I let out a breath of relief. "I don't know." I said, laughing.

He looked at me and I could see the corners of his mouth tug upwards.

"What?" I asked, suddenly very self conscious.

"Will you go out with me?"

My eyes widened. "Um-"

"I know we just met but I feel so attracted to you and I don't know why."

Billy was nice, to me at least, but I wasn't sure that I was ready to take on another relationship after what happened with the last guy I was with.

Billy must of read my face, because he  covered up his hurt expression and scoffed.

"Just forget I ever asked." He said his voice sharp.

"Yes." I blurted. "I'll go out with you. Right now if you want to, I don't care."

He stopped the car suddenly and looked at me, a smile growing on his face. I bit my lip and looked out the window. I was beyond happy but also very nervous.

What was I thinking?

Billy stopped in front of my house and put his car in park.

"What about tomorrow, six o' clock?" He inquired.

"Sure, and where will we be going?"

"Wouldn't you like to know-"

"Billy-" I groaned.

"It's a surprise, Babydoll."

"How will I know what to wear?" I demanded.

"You look stunning in anything."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "I'll see you in school tomorrow."

"Bye, Raya."

"Bye, Billy."

I slid out of his car, and hurried into the house. I shut the door and a huge smile covered my face. I took a deep breath as I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I noticed Jonathan wasn't home and I hadn't seen him since fourth period when him and Nancy skipped.

Then my mom came to me, my sketch of the shadow monster I kept seeing.

"What the hell, Raya?"

She had her car keys and purse in her other hand.

"Where are you going?"

"To pick up Will, I'll be back."

She pushed past me and slammed the door on the way out.

Um, comments, any suggestions to help me out. Thanks and does anyone know why my chapters are rearranging and when I fix them, they don't change.
