- Chapter 3 -

The next day at the Austin & Ally set, Ross got in late.

Laura looked over and saw Ross with a long, straight, blond haired girl and blue eyes. She was pretty tall and had that model body.

Yeah, Laura's heart shattered.

Calum and Raini go over to Laura and block her view of Ross and the girl. Raini shakes her head. "I cannot believe him."

Laura gets up. "Guys, i'm going to run to my dressing room, real quick." She says and starts to her dressing room.

A small problem, Ross and blond girl were in the way of the hallway to the dressing rooms. Laura tried to show that she didn't care.

"Excuse me." She says to both of them.

The blonde girl moves but Ross makes her move back in the way. "Sorry, what?" Ross asks her, faking that he didn't hear her.

"I said 'excuse me'. Which means get out of my way. So, don't pretend like you can't hear me." Laura fires at him, sharply.

"Did she say something? Because i don't hear her." Ross asks, aiming the question at the blond chick.

"Fine, if that is how your going to do it." Laura says and pushes by Ross.

The blonde chick was all confused.

Just as Laura gets by, Ross turns her around, grabbing her arms. He held her close to his face. "What were you doing with Calum yesterday?" He asks her, sharply.

Laura looks into his eyes. "What does it matter to you? Obviously, you have someone else."

"I can't believe how desperate you are, trying to hook up with Calum." Ross says.

Laura pulls away and slaps Ross in the face. The red immediately rushes to his cheek.

"I was not hooking up with Calum! I'm sorry that i needed a friend for the night you blew me off! And i'm desperate!? Look at you, using a girl just to try to make me jealous! I can't believe you, Ross!" Laura yells, her voice starting to crack.

The director, the producers, all of the cast and crew, R5 and literally everyone was watching them.

"You said that you hated me and that you'd move on at the Italian restaurant yesterday!" Ross yells at her.

Water fills Laura's eyes but she doesn't dare to let that water leak. "You misheard me! I could never really hate you or forget about you! But, what were doing right now, might be able to change that!"

"Laura-." Ross starts.

"Leave me alone." Laura says and goes to her dressing room and closes the door, locking it behind her.

An awkward silence lingers in the air; most eyes on Ross. The director clears his throat. "Ross, a word?" He says and goes into his office. "And someone send Laura!"

"I'll get her!" Rydel volunteers and hurries out of the scene.

Ross sighs and goes to the director's office and closes the door behind him. The director sits down. "What was that?"

"A fight between me and Laura." He replies, shrugging his shoulders.

"No, don't shrug. This is a big deal. If the world finds out that Laura broke up with you; do you know how much hate she'll get!?"

Ross stays silent.

"A lot of hate. You can't just hang out and interlock your fingers with other girls. Unless, you want Laura to have hate. Do you want her to have more hate?" The director asks him.

"No."

"So, get your head straight." The director grunts.

Rydel knocks on Laura's door and Laura doesn't answer. "Laura, it's Rydel." Rydel says. "The director wants to talk to you."

Laura opens the door and Rydel sees the tears and makeup streaming down her face. She immediately hugs her. "I'm so sorry, Laura."

Laura pulls back and wipes her eyes and her cheeks. She smiles at Rydel. "Do i look like i was crying?"

"Yes. Here, let me fix your makeup." Rydel says.

As she fixes up her make up, Laura stares at her reflection. "Thanks, Rydel."

"Girl, i'd do anything for you." She replies. "And... You hit my brother pretty hard. I didn't know your toothpick arms had so much strength." Rydel laughs.

Laura smiles a little. "Sorry, about that."

"It's okay. He deserved it. I told him it was a horrible idea to try to get a new girlfriend that fast but, he didn't listen." Rydel says finishing up Laura's makeup. "That's better. You don't look like you teared up at all."

Laura hugs Rydel. "Is Ross talking to the director, right now?"

"Yeah," she replies.

"Then, i'll wait." Laura says.

Rydel pulls away to look Laura in the eyes. "No, he wants to talk to you both, together. And don't ever get scared of Ross. You're brave, you'll handle him."

Laura smiles at one of her best girl friends. "Thanks, Del."

"No problem." She says and then they both walk to the director's office. Laura opens the door and Ross and the director look at her.

Rydel waits outside, closing the door.

"Have a seat, Laura." The director tells her.

Laura avoids eye contact with Ross, even though, she feels his eyes trailing her. Out of the corner of her eye, she still sees Ross's cheek red.

"Okay, guys. This fight between you two needs to end. And Laura, i was just talking to Ross about this. If the world knew that you guys broke up, you would get a lot of hate. So, you guys have to be holding hands in public, hanging out with each other often, and just be close to each other." The director tells them.

Laura looks down at the floor and Ross looks at his hands.

"I'm serious, you two. In the interviews and disney events, smile at each other, stay near each other."

Laura sighs and Ross glances at her, wondering if all this pretending will kill her.

He wishes he just went on that anniversary dinner with her. None of this would happen.

Rydel, Ratliff, Rocky, Riker, Calum and Raini sit in Raini's dressing room. Rocky and Calum were playing on the Xbox.

"Guys, seriously. Pause the game so we can talk about this." Raini groans.

Rocky and Calum pause their game. "We've been listening the whole time." Calum says.

Rydel looks at him. "No, you weren't."

"Okay! Guys, everyone agrees that Ross and Laura should stay as a couple because they are just too perfect together, right?" Ratliff says.

"Agreed." Everyone says.

"So, let's help them get back together. What do we do?" Ratliff says.

"One, we could set them up." Riker suggests.

"What the heck does that mean?" Rocky says.

Riker rolls his eyes. "It means that we'll trick them into hanging out with each other, fool."

Rocky starts to playfully push Riker. "Shut up."

"We could also do more hanging out as a group and do some games and stuff." Calum says.

"How is that going to bring Ross and Laura back together?" Rydel asks him.

"We could do partner stuff and have Ross and Laura be partners each time. Doing stuff that include us and not just them alone will make it look like we aren't setting them up the whole time." Calum replies.

"Okay, let's pick our partners for early notice." Raini suggests. "Calum?"

"Yeah!" Calum says, already knowing that she was also trying to set up Rydel and Ratliff.

"Raini! After all we've been through?" Rydel exclaims.

"It's okay, Del! Be Ratliff's partner." Raini says, winking at Calum.

"Yeah! Forget about Raini!" Ratliff says, playfully. "We're gonna win, Ry."

Rydel smiles at him and sticks her tongue out at Raini.

"Aww, wait. Shouldn't we invite Vanessa?" Riker says.

"Why, Riker? You've been thinking about her?" Rocky teases.

"No!" Riker exclaims, a little too quickly. "It's so that Laura can't make up an excuse to not be with Ross."

"That's a good cover up but you don't fool any of us." Calum says.

Riker give him a hard look. Calum send back a big smile.

"So what? It would be uneven now. Do i have to go upstairs for game night?" Rocky says.

"Nah, we can get Ryland to come and play with us." Riker says.

"Sweet! You losers are going down!" Rocky shouts, excitedly.

Everybody rolls their eyes. "Okay, now we need to think of a schedule and someone needs to let Vanessa know about the plan."

Riker immediately pipes up. "I'll let her kn-. I mean, anybody want to tell Vanessa?"

Rydel rolls her eyes and smiles. "Just do it, Rike."

"Kay. If there are no volunteers." Riker says.

"Guys, we need to think of a time that will work for all of us." Ratliff says when Laura comes in.

"Umm, hey, guys. Raini and Calum, the director wants us for our next scene... And what were you just talking about?"

Raini and Calum get up and leave. "Nothing! Nothing at all!"
