Chapter 30

Marcel's POV

-2 weeks after, after classes-

French class's over and Tiana told me she'd be going out early since she had to go to the airport to meet a friend from Toronto and go to a cafe for a while.

"Okay stay safe okay? Remember, no more cumin." I joked as she laughed on the other line. "I love you." I said through the phone as Tiana said I love you back and hung up.

While I was walking towards the parking lot, Tiana's friend, Alison, came up to me.

"Hi!" she said as I turned around to look at her wearing jeans and cleavage top which made me immediately divert my eyes from her.

"Uh-Uh, Hi," I said, not looking straight at her as she chuckled.

"Uhm, I'm Alison? We're classmates in French class." she said as I cleared my throat and nodded.

"Yes, I knew you." I replied which made her smirk.

"Heyyy, prom's coming up.. who would you call your own?" she asked, batting her eyes on me.

What's up with her?

I stood there, with an awkward face until I decided to just reply to her.

"I'm most probably going with Tiana so.." I said, awkwardly as her facial expression changed and after a few moments, just laughed.

"Ahh, Tiana.. how's it feel like being played over by her?" she said as I stared at her, furrowing my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I asked as she furrowed her eyebrows and reached out for her phone in her pocket.

"Didn't she tell you yet?" she said and then showed me a video of Tiana talking.

Tiana: Should I really fake date him? I mean, I feel sorry for him.

Tiana said on the video.

Alison: Why do you feel sorry for him?

Tiana: I mean, we all know he's just the nerd in class and, you know.. I mean, I guess I'd just use and date him just until I take his place as valedictorian, right? (laughs)

The video lasted for a few seconds and after that, it's like the world shattered all upon me. Is this true? That Tiana's just... using me to become batch valedictorian? At first I didn't wanna believe her but Alison showed me a pic of her and a guy from last week's competition hugging.

"Yeah and this is another guy Tiana used. The guy ruined his speech just to make Tiana win." Alison said "Oh, and they even frequently date. Just another way of my friend getting close to guys like you who would make her on top." she added grinning as she showed me a picture of them eating food at a cafe with the caption, "Made my favorite someone else's favorite."

"I don't believe this." I said as Alison shrugged.

"If you say so.. and I guess this still won't be enough to convince you?" she said and showed me a picture of Tiana and that same guy-- kissing.

I stood there in complete shock after seeing the horrifying picture seeing my girl friend sharing a kiss with some other guy she-- used to win the competition. I'm now starting to remember the feeling I had when I had first been dumped. So all of the time we spent together were just... lies? Lies and lies and lies!

"If you want to make a revenge, just call me up." Alison said, winking at me "See you!" she added, blowing me 2 kisses and started walking away.

I can't believe it. Tiana, who was my first ever love of my life and after doing everything that could possibly make her happy, was all ruined because of her. Because of her being a big fat liar! I thought about what Alison said about getting revenge and without even thinking, I grabbed Alison's wrist and pulled her into a kiss. I then heard snaps from everywhere and as of that moment, I didn't care. I just pulled away and walked through the halls as if no one's watching. (image above)
