Chapter 18

Marcel's POV

*School bell ring*

Last period's over so I got all my books in, fixed my collar and walked down the hall towards the parking lot alone. Tiana texted me that she had to go with Principal Hiddleston to prepare her tickets for tomorrow's flight so that leaves me going home alone.

While I was walking with my head down, a group of guys approached me-- the jocks.

"Hey ya'll it's the new Marcel!" the guy named Tyler said patting my back hard which was close to a hit.

"Hey man, what's going on??" the guy named Rye said, reaching out his hand to take mine which I didn't "Yo, don't leave me hanging!" he said which I gave in and shook his hand.

Then there, the person I feared to see or to get near to the most.

"Yo! Here's my favorite nerd!" Trevor exclaimed hitting my back. "How's it going??" he said smirking as I shook my shoulders to get his hands off me.

"Oooh, don't do that, man! Tiana's not here to defend you!" the guy named Mike said as the whole group laughed.

"Heyy, speaking of Tiana, what's with the two of you, yeah?" Trevor said, half-head locking me as I pushed my hair back.

"N-Nothing," I said as he scoffed.

"Got feelings for her? Huh! I advice you not to," he said smirking as I furrowed my eyebrows. "That girl dumps everyone. She even dumped me! Realizing she dumped the high school king must have made her regret by now." he added chuckling as the group cheered.

"Maybe she's just not interested.." I mumbled as they all went "Ahww!!"

"Now you're talking! Just listen to my advice, yeah? She's just using you. Using you to make her look good. Using you so she could be batch valedictorian. I mean, face it. Hanging out with a nerd like you is social suicide. And didn't you notice that she only started to hang out with you when you changed your looks? Yeah. Just listen to me. She only likes you for your looks. You're a loser and she's a slut. She made out with her ex nerd boyfriend just for him to do her science project." he said which made the people around us laugh.

Slut.

He called Tiana a SLUT.

He really got into my nerves.

I really wanted to punch him right there on the spot!

But I know Tiana won't like that so what I did was just to get out of the crowd and headed towards my car.

"JUST TAKE NOTE! DO NOT DATE A SLUT!" Trevor shouted as I went inside the car and slammed the f***ing door and drove off as fast as I could.

That asshole. I could strangle him right now! How could he say things like that about Tiana?? She's not a slut! And she is not using me for her to look good and to be--

Valedictorian..

"She's only using you to be batch valedictorian."

 "She made out with her ex nerd boyfriend just for him to do her science project."

"She's a slut."

  

The thought of it played over and over again in my head but I forced it to go away.

Still, I just needed some fresh air so I went to a grassy place near a pond and stayed there for a while. Just thinking. (image above)

Trevor did make some points. Tiana only started to hang out with me more when I kept this look.

But I always think she was different.

I love her, I do, but...

Does she feel the same way?
