S'mores

After collecting my thoughts I rejoined the pogues and Rafe in the kitchen. I was expecting JJ to have gone somewhere or be different but instead he was his usual talkative self. "JB can you pass the syrup?" JJ hummed. "So. Uh, how've you two been?" Kie asked while looking between Rafe and I. Where do I start?? 'Rafe cheated, I ran away to the chateau because I'm pathetic and can't handle emotions, my mom died! Rafe came back, Rafe helped me plan the funeral, Rafe came to the funeral, Rafe took me to the Bahama house, eh? I think I'm forgetting something.. oh yes! Rafe got in a fight for me, I broke a bottle over some pervs head.. we flew home.. uh I wanted to kill myself... I don't know.' If I say any of those things I'll sound insane.

I watched as Rafe met my gaze, he's probably thinking the same thing. "Uh.. you know? Good, same old." I shrugged while taking a waffle and dropping it on my plate. "Oh?" Sarah said with a concerned expression while moving her eyes between us. Sarah's particularly good at reading people and she's extremely good at seeing when people are lying.. "Yeah. Anyway, how's everyone feeling?" I said while quickly trying to change the topic. "I feel great. I slept the whole boat ride here, John b and JJ did all the work I suppose." Kie shrugged."Excuse you. I was doing extremely important work, I was keeping JJ and John b awake while you and Sarah slept." Pope said dramatically while tossing a piece of pancake in his mouth. "I feel like dogshit, I missed my bed, and showers, but mainly my bed." Sarah nodded while a smile spread on her lips. "You didn't even miss me?" Rafe said while pretending to be hurt. "Not at all honestly. Lowkey forgot I had a brother." Sarah shrugged ironically. "Ouch." Rafe mumbled while taking the plate away from his sister. "What are you doing you pig?" Sarah scoffed while trying to grab her plate back. "You don't miss me, you can't miss my cooking." He shrugged. "Okay, fine. I suppose I missed you." She said while a small grin appeared on her lips. "Thank you." He said with a flat smile before taking the plate and placing it back on the kitchen island. "Finally. Fuckface." Sarah muttered while sitting down.

After we had breakfast, we spent most of the day relaxing, smoking some weed, drinking and dancing. I'm confused as to why JJ hasn't told his friends but I respect his decision. "Ugh I love how Ward is gone. We get to smoke inside. He'd go batshit crazy if he knew we were smoking inside his house." Sarah laughed while taking another hit from the blunt. "Facts." JJ laughed before dropping his head into Sarah's lap and taking the blunt from her before sitting up again. "Rafeeee." Sarah whined. I watched as an idea sparked in Sarah's head. "Oh, Rafeypoo??" Sarah called out to Rafe who was busy grabbing the rest of his stash. "Rafecicle? Where are you brothero?" She called out loudly. "What is she doing?" John b asked. "Summoning Rafey dearest." Sarah nodded. "Kie! I have an idea!" Sarah said while grabbing Kie who was lay on the couch. I watched as Sarah whispered into Kie's ear before stepping back to see the excitement on both their faces. "Jules, come here! We have a secret plan..." Sarah said while walking towards me. I crawled off the couch and stumbled into a stand before standing beside the two girls.

"So like, how about we just stare at Rafe. Like if he said- says anything just keep staring, don't like stop. You know?" Sarah said while slurring and mixing up her words. "Is that the whole plan?" I asked feeling disappointed, I thought they were onto something.. "No. He's gonna think there's something on his face or something, then when he does- goes to check it, we come in and steal all his weed and smoke it. Also do you maybe wanna play mermaids? We haven't played in the pool in too long!" Sarah said excitedly. "Smart." I nodded."Okay, okay, no one break character. Not until we steal the stash." Kie nodded. "Yes." We all nodded in unison before taking our places on the couches.

"Rafeypoo!" Sarah shouted. "Rafecicle?" Sarah called out while laughing hysterically at her names for her brother. "Rafael?" Sarah said in a serious tone before breaking into a fit of laughter. "Rafaela?" Sarah continued. All three of us were practicing gasping for air at the humour of it all. Soon enough Rafe appeared with the most confused expression I've ever seen on him. "Why are you calling me that you freak?" He asked while sitting down next to me and placing the stash tin in my lap. I felt a small smile spread on my lips as Rafe got comfortable, god how is he so fucking hot? He's like a piece of art.. I'm not sure why, but I have such a strong urge to just bite him. Why? I don't know... he just looks like he'd be yummy, not in a cannibal way, I swear I've never wanted to eat someone or do anything weird like that.

I dropped my head into his lap and held his hand into my chest. Rafe smiled and pulled me into him, I was now sat on his lap while he has his arms wrapped around my legs... this plan isn't going well at all.. but it's okay, we have the tin!

"Mermaids." Kie blurted after a few moments of silence. Fuck yes! I love mermaids. "Yes." Both Sarah and I said in unison. "Last one to the pool, uh-eh, smells like rotten eggs!" Sarah shouted before running outside. That was literally so unfair... Rafe was holding me hostage. I felt better when Kie stumbled and fell a little, I would help her but it's each man for themselves out here.. Sarah came to a complete stop right beside the pool, but clearly I'm not as athletic as her because I just kept running into the pool. It felt as though I ran on water for a second.. before I was met with freezing cold water.

I looked up to see Sarah erupting into laughter while trying to stand straight. "At least I didn't lose." I reasoned with her. "Good point." She nodded while grabbing my hands to pull me out. Sarah somehow snuck the tin away from Rafe and I while we were inside, I didn't even notice it since I was too preoccupied with Rafe.. "Light up baby!!" Sarah said loudly while handing me a neatly rolled blunt and a green lighter. I sparked the blunt and inhaled while passing it back to Sarah.Soon enough the whole gang were joining us."It took you long enough." Sarah scoffed while passing me the blunt."While I fell it reminded me of s'mores, you know how there's like marshmallows in them? I felt like the marshmallow." Kie explained. The boys looked at her like she was crazy but Sarah and I nodded as though it made perfect sense. "Yeah, smart!" Sarah chimed in. "How about we stop with this?" John b said while taking the tin from between Sarah and I. "Unfair." Sarah scoffed while taking a long drag from the blunt before passing it back to me. "You finish that one.. I'll find a way to smoke another one." She said with a proud smile on her face. I laughed and continued to puff away. I was very much gone... like so gone that I couldn't figure out why my teeth were chattering... I was so fucking cold that my teeth were chattering and I didn't realise.. "Oh my god Jules.. come here." Rafe said while looking me up and down. "Okay!" I said excitedly while waddling over to him, blunt still in hand. Rafe wrapped his arms around me and pulled a blanket around us."But you'll be wet." I spoke."It's fine." He mumbled before kissing my forehead.

I sat there watching as the pogues made some s'mores while Pope, John b and JJ all played a game, well I think it's a game.. you have to eat 5 s'mores in one minute and if you don't you have to smoke a full blunt to yourself...

I began to doze off a little, I could feel my eyes fighting to stay awake. "Jules, Kiara! Let's play mermaids! We can use the blanket as a tail!" Sarah yelled excitedly while jumping up and jogging towards us. "Mermaids!" Kie yelled excitedly while grabbing a towel and tying it around her waist. I watched as Rafe rolled his eyes before giving me the blanket. "Wait don't mermaids live in water?" Sarah asked while staring at the pool. "Oh my god, you're right!" I said excitedly. Kie said nothing, just shimmied out of the towel and stumbled towards us. "I say- we uh- we jump!" Kie said excitedly. "Yes." I said excitedly. Sarah nodded like a crazy person in agreement. "Ok. 1,2,3!" Kie yelled before we jumped in. I could hear the boys shouts from above but we didn't care. The water was freezing but we didn't mind too much, only because of the amount of drugs and alcohol in our system..

The rest of the night was kind of a blur, all I know is that Rafe and JJ wanted to race their motorbikes like two lunatics but I didn't let them. I hate when people drink and drive it's too dangerous.

JJ seems to be doing okay with the news of our mothers death.. but then again, it's still early and new to him.
