Chapter One

Betilla's POV

Even the most insignificant things can become legendary.

Despite the humidity, it was a very nice day. Well, just about every day was nice. This is the jungle we're talking about. I was minding my own buisness, taking a stroll. All of a sudden i heard a loud KABLAMO coming from the tallest tree in the jungle, which was huge. I decided it would be smart to fly over to the tree to see what made the explosion sound thing.

It didnt take very long to get there. When i did, i hid in a high branch and watched. I didnt see anything. I waited a moment longer and was just about to fly away, when a bunch of... stuff flew out of the trunk. I looked away. There was a weird clamor, then silence. When i looked back down, there were monsters everywhere. There was another frenzy that lasted not very long, then more silence.

What the heck... i thought. Then all of the monster things started spreading around the jungle as more came out. My eyes widened. I flew down cautiously to a lower branch, and slowly descended to the branch where... the thing happened. There was a weird gate in the tree.

(I am very smart.) I walked in.
