The Unexpected Goodbye

Zelo's POV

" Good morning" I softly said to Claire as I give her a back hug while she's preparing for our breakfast

" Goodmorning Junhong" she response as she turned around to face me

I slowly caress her cheeks and gently kiss her forehead.

" Saranghae Claire" I muttered then smile at her

Claire shook her head and then a tear came out from her eyes. I wipe her tears away and asked why she's crying.

" I'm sorry but I can't be with you Junhong. We're not meant for each other. You're an Idol and I'm just....I'm just an ordinary person"

" but..."

" Junhong. Mian and Goodbye" she said as she suddenly disappear from my sight

" No please! Claire don't leave me! Please" I cried trying to find her

I opened my eyes and find myself on my bed, laying. Beads of sweat are all over my face. A dream, thank God it's just a dream. Claire can't leave me like that. I know her, she's not the type of person who's gonna leave me hanging like that. Claire is annoying sometimes but if you will let yourself to know her you'll know what is the real her. She's kind and caring and more than that she's knows how to make a person happy. I'm so blessed because I know I fall to the right person and I will never regret that.

I get up and get myself ready for breakfast. When I came down, as usual I found Claire on the kitchen preparing for our breakfast. I silently walk towards her and hug her from behind.

" good morning!" I happily greeted her

" omo! Junhong-ah what are you doing?!" Claire turned then removed my arms from her waist

" I'm hugging you. Don't you like that?" I pouted

" It's not like that.... I'm just...what if somebody come and see us like that?..what are we going to say?"

" early in the morning?" I looked at my watch

"uhm.... What if?"

" but you like it?" I grinned

" yes!....Uhm I Mean no...uh, sort of" she manage to say

" okay, okay, I'll just ask your permission before I hugged you. Is it okay?"

" ask my permission...but why?" her face suddenly look confused

" isn't that what you want?" I try to tease her

When she's about to talk my phone rang.

"Oh.... Hello Dad" I  said to the other line

"Junhong,  Annyeong" add greeted

"You called,  is there a problem? " I asked

"Problem?  Nothing.  There's no problem.  I just wanted to ask if you're  doing fine there... with Claire."

I turned to Claire and respond to dad.

"Everything  is fine dad. I'm having a good  time with Claire" I  answered honestly

Claire  gave me a smile and continue to prepare  our breakfast.

" what are you two doing anyway? Are you busy?  " dad suddenly  asked

" ani. Waeyo? "

" because.... I'm  right  in front of your porch and I  wonder if I can come inside." Dad  said

My eyes got widen and looked at Claire.

" what? "

" dad is here? " I whispered  to her

"what?!" She freaked out

Both of us hastily run towards the front door and opened it.  We found dad holding his phone on his phone ears waiting for us to open the door. 

"Annyeong! " he happily greeted

" oh,  Annyeonghaseyo! " we both bowed at the same time

We welcomed  my dad in the house and let him sat at the sofa in the living room.  Claire  and I sat on the same sofa not knowing that we're so close together.

" do you already  like each other? You two seems so close already"  Dad suddenly  asked after he sip from his coffee

We both looked at each other then move away from each other without saying a word. 

" hmmm... did I said something wrong? " dad asked

Then the two of us start saying so many things. Dad looked confused  that he doesn't  even know who to listen to. 

" the two of you stop! " dad suddenly  interrupt

Claire  and I shut up and shook our head down. 

" can you two tell me honestly  what is going between you two?"

We didn't answer my dad's question and just shook our head again. I don't  know why the two of us doesn't  have the guts to answer  my dad's  question. Maybe we're  just shy or afraid  on what they might  react when we finally  say the truth.  Suddenly  Dad just stand up and start  marching his way to outside  the house.  Claire  and I  stood up and stopped my dad from leaving.

"Okay  can you tell me now? " dad gave us a look

"Okay" I  scratch  my head

When Claire  and I  told to my dad our "love-thingy" Dad just gave us a contented  look and a smile.  After the explanation dad says he had something  to do so he really  need to go. 

" dad,  is everything okay? " I  asked him as I  Claire walked him outside

" of course. Everything  is okay. " he smiled  at me

" but.. "

" finally  my son is a grown  up guy now huh!  I 'm happy  because  you finally  had a chance  to fall in love for the first time and I'm glad you fall for Claire.  I'm happy for you two because you found love in each other"

" thanks dad" I smiled at him

I'm so greatful to have a father like him, who is always supportive and patient for me. And because of him my confidence is more stronger. I'm glad I have my dad even though mom is now a star.

Claire and I spend our remaining days together happily. We talk more about each other. We cooked a lot and laugh a lot like there's no tomorrow. Tickles and cuddles are always everyday. I stare at her like she's the most pretty girl I meet. We had a time to walk at the beach with our bare feet and played on the playground like children. Those times with her are unexpected. Days with her is like a dream that I know I will never experience again on another person. Living together with Claire is like an adventure I will never have again. But as always an adventure needs to end and that is one of  most painful part of my life, parting with the one you love.

After the hundred days living together with her we finally got our free from the arrangement our fathers' made.

Even though Claire and I are not living together anymore we still always had the chance to spend time together. I always visit her in their home every weekend. Later on we reveal to our close one's that we are dating. Yes! It's official Claire and I are finally dating. Many people are happy for us including Daehyun hyung. When I told him about The "dating" thing Daehyun hyung just gave me a smile then congratulate me. I don't know what he truly feels about this but I know he's happy for me and Claire.

"Junhong-ah!" Claire waved at me at the corner of the coffee shop

" Oh, Annyeong! Sorry because I'm late" I said to Claire

" it's alright. By the way can we go now?" she suddenly said

" where are we going?" I asked her as I sat across from her

" just follow me"she smiled at me then grabbed my hands

I was so clueless on where are we going. But it's Claire's idea so I don't need to be worried.

" What are we doing here in an Orphanage?" I asked at Claire

" this where Daehyun oppa took me last time" she answered me

" so, this is where you..."

" yeah"  she simply said

I burst on laughing when I found out that this is the place where Claire and Daehyun hyung held their date.

" yah! It's not a date went here to visit my friends" she slap my back

" why did you brought me here?"

" because I want them to meet you"

The staff of the orphanage welcomed us but I wad so surprised when most of the children ran towards us. They gave Claire a bunch of hugs and kisses. There's no doubt that Claire is a very lovable person.

" oh, I would like you to meet my friend. Junhong" Claire introduced me to the children

" friend? I'm your boyfri..." Claire covered my mouth with her hand

Why did she introduced me as her friend? I'm just not her friend. I'm his so handsome and down-to-earth boyfriend. Is she denying me right now? Uuurrrggghhh!

" he's so tall! They all looked at me

" but he looks weird!" someone added

" no I'm not! I'm handsome!" I defend

" yeah right!" Claire chuckled

We played with the children in the orphanage the whole day and had fun with each other.  To be honest those kids are so annoying but I'm glad I had a chance to find some new friends.

When it's time to say goodbye the children told to spend the night there and I think that's a very nice i dea but Claire refuse and because Claire said she really need to go home.

" Junhong-ah thanks for spending time with me in the orphanage" Claire said

" you're always welcome Claire" I response to her

"Junhong Annyeong" Claire said as we reach their front gate

" don't say that! You know I hate it when you always say goodbye" I respond to her

" I'm just trying to see what's your reaction when I finally say goodbye"

" yah! You're acting weird! Are you going somewhere?"

" Ani. I'm not going anywhere jerk . And why are you still confused on me being weird? I'm really weird! I thought you already knew that" she chuckled

" huh! I don't even know why I fall to a  clumsy  weirdo like you" I joked at her

" tch! you really are a jerk!"

" but you love that jerk"

" And you also love that clumsy weirdo" she added

" Saranghae clumsy weirdo" I  smiled at her

" Nado Saranghae Jerk!" she smiled back

I run as fast as I can not even aware the people around me. I need to see her right away. I need to, because this is the last time I will see and touch her face before she... leave.

Claire left a video message before she went to the airport. I played the video on my phone wondering what is it.

" Annyeong Junhong-ah..." Claire waved at the camera"Probably  I'm in the airplane now while you watch this video.  Junhong- ah I'm going to America and live there with mom and dad for four years. The doctor told us that Dad still needs to undergo to an another operation in America and we need to prepare him for that. Operation Minahae-yo for not telling you all of this. I don't want to bother you to your upcoming comback . I don't want you to be sad during your first performance. I want you to be happy. Oh, and I'm also going to study there, Dad enrolled me to a culinary school. Isn't that great?....... Bogoshipoyo Junhong-ah" suddenly Claire shed a tear

" I miss you too Claire-ssi" I respond to the video

" yah! Why am I crying?! I still need to sing for you. So you can always remember me.... Please wait for me Junhong-ah" suddenly the video was cut

I don't even notice my tears falling apart.I need to see her right now.

When I got the the airport. I hastily look every corner of  it to find Claire. I took my phone and called her hoping she's still in the airport to pick up my call.

" Annyeong?"

" Claire-ssi! Where are you?!" I asked as I still look for her

" Junhong-ah.... I thought you're performing right now?"

" tell me where are you!"

" I'm...I'm here in the airport"

"where?!"

" Junhong-ah...Mian for not telling you goodbye. I know you hate it so I decided not to"

" ya! You pabo-ya! Why didn't tell me?! Atleast let me just hug you and tell you that I love you so much and I'm going to wait until you came back" I said to her

Suddenly Claire hang up. I got panicked then dialed her number again. But this time Claire is not answering her phone anymore.

Suddenly someone called my name. I know this voice...I know the owner of this voice. When I turned around I found Claire standing meters away from me. She put a simple smile and waved her hand.

" Annyeong Junhong" she waved her hand

I run towards her and hug her tightly.

" ya! I thought you're gone!" I'm about to cry

" I couldn't resist myself to go to you" she says

" saranghaeyo! I will wait for you until you came back" I said to her

" nado saranghae Junhong. Wait for me okay?" she smile then gave me the warmest hug I've ever received
