waking up the next day i felt anger. i couldn't stop asking myself, 'why did she do this?' and 'what was the reason?'

but i also felt lonely.

sure, joão was with me and i couldn't ask for anybody better, but rosia is my best friend. if it wasn't for her i probably wouldn't even be here right now and be dating joão félix - she's been here from day one and i figured that she was my only true friend.

so much has happened these past few days like going to qatar, meeting kat, kevin stalking me, me and diego (kinda) becoming friends, the whole joão and penny situation, and rosia getting mad over fake conversations that never happened.

and my grandma dying.

i already felt like i was ready to go back to portugal where everything would be back to normal with no drama, but no. it was the world cup and i was extremely lucky to be here right now so i needed to make the most of it.

i decided that today i wouldn't give anymore shits to kevin, penny or kat.

i was going to apologise to rosia today and then everything would be alright again, and hopefully stand up to kat if i saw her.

sighing, i looked at joão sleeping beside me and he looked very peaceful. i tiptoed quietly out of bed so i wouldn't wake him up and gathered my clothes together from my closet, taking them into the bathroom and changing into them.

i brushed my teeth and did all the normal stuff, then i unlocked the bathroom and walked over to joão. i pecked his lips softly as he opened his eyes.

"where are you going?" he asked groggily.

"out." i smiled.

"okay, have fun." he smiled back. "i love you,"

"i love you too." i replied and walked out the hotel room using my card.

i went downstairs and into the lobby, where i saw my brother antónio sitting down with his phone in his hand.

sitting down next to him, he looked up from his phone and gave me a warm smile.

"so i'm assuming that you and joão made up?"

"yeah," i chuckled. "it was all a misunderstanding. but anyway i'm not here to talk to you about that, i'm here to ask about rosia,"

he started to rub his neck and spoke quietly, "something happened this morning, actually," i noticed that his eyes were slightly red and swollen - like he'd been crying.

"hey, are you okay??" i suddenly questioned in alarm.

"when i woke up i instantly noticed that something was wrong - she was sitting on the edge of the bed with her arms crossed and she was crying," he explained.

"i asked her what was wrong but instead she showed me some screenshots from her phone. and the screenshots were fake messages of me apparently texting another girl and cheating on her - i don't know what to do, eleanor.." he said with a shaky voice.

i covered my mouth with my hand and one thing came to mind, penny

"i'm so sorry, antónio.. but i think i can solve this. do you know where rosia went?"

"she left early this morning - she said she was going to this gallery?"

my eyes widened. "the lewy gallery? thank you - i promise i can solve this!"

he gave me a small smile as i got up and left the hotel, it wasn't a very long walk so i got there in under ten minutes.

i felt anger, was penny and kat trying to ruin rosia's and antónio's relationship as well?? talk about jealous people. they really couldn't leave us alone.

i spotted the familiar place and on the door a small sign wrote, 'closed, sorry'

i bit my lip, dammit

i was too angry to care that it was closed and i pushed open the door swiftly - what type of door isn't locked when the store is closed?? as i walked in the bell rang and two heads turned towards me, disturbing their conversation.

it was too dark for me to see them since the lights were off, but i could just barely make out their shadow.

"i'm sorry, did i ruin your little rendezvous?" i said with a small smirk.

"the gallery is closed," one of the girls spoke rudely. "if you read the sign on the door,"

"cut the shit, penny." i snapped. "i know what you did so you can stop hiding, and you too kat,"

"fine," penny said lazily as she and kat came into view. i studied kat's expression as she looked at me - she had a somewhat guilty look on her face.

"i'm sorry eleanor-" kat started desperately.

"no," i snapped. "i trusted you - and what do i get in return? a backstabbing bitch?"

"you don't understand-"

"understand what? that your so jealous you have to ruin my life? wow what a great friend," i laughed sarcastically. "joão always told me that he didn't trust you, but i gave you a chance - no wonder he was right. i shouldn't have trusted you from the beginning."

"but i must admit - you had me fooled with the whole, 'who's kevin alvarez?' act. and all along you always knew, i was always suspicious whenever we were hanging out he would always appear," i palm faced myself. "i was stupid not to open my eyes and see,"

penny stood there with her arms crossed, like she was bored of me talking. "are you done?" she rolled her eyes. kat had tears in her eyes.

i looked over to penny, "and you penny, you're too obsessive. you can't get the hint that joão doesn't fucking like you, okay? stop trying to ruin my relationship because we're in love. do you understand that?"

she looked at me like i had just slapped her, "yes," i scoffed. "it must be hard for you to understand, and i really hope this makes sense because joão loves me, and i love him back, so suck it up and stop trying to steal my boyfriend when he doesn't want you."

"you listen here silva-" she started angrily.

"no!" i cut her off. "it wasn't fair on kevin or kat because you're a fucking manipulative bitch! can you even see how your sister is crying? you live this whole fucking rich, royalty life in america and yet your siblings are living in hell here. but you do nothing, right? because your family doesn't matter to you. you're too busy following joão wherever he goes."

"and i'm sorry but you do have better priorities then that. diego told me everything. he told me about your financial situation kat, and i'm so sorry you have to live with that - and your siblings too," i look over to her and then back to penny. "you need to go to therapy, penny."

they stayed in guilty silence so i continued, "now what have you done with antónio and rosia?"

"nothing," penny said innocently and put her hands up. "you're seriously accusing me of everything today, eleanor." she rolled her eyes.

"don't fuck with me." i said seriously, "what did you do?"

"fine, miss serious. you can probably guess it but i made fake messages to make it seem like antónio was cheating."

"of course you did." i scoffed. "was she here earlier?"

"yes," kat spoke. "she came here crying to us.. and penny told her the truth about what she did, and she ran out."

i looked over in annoyance, "where did she go, kat?"

"to the park, i think she's still there."

i nodded until penny spoke up, "mrs lisa, there is an intruder here!"

a plump women suddenly came out of nowhere and i recognised her as the lady who owned the place.

"i'm sorry miss but the gallery is closed. please get out now." she said sternly as i rolled my eyes.

i looked over at penny's hand and she was holding a paper which looked like a plane ticket. "i see you're going back to america, mission failed to get joão?" i mocked with a smirk.

"whatever," she scoffed. "get out now."

i backed up towards the door and put my hand on the handle, pausing for a second.

"you both can eat shit." i smiled in sarcasm before opening it and walking out, leaving them.

as the hot air fanned my face i felt a grin appear on my mouth, confronting them felt so good but now it was time to find rosia before i could celebrate.

i rushed to the park (which luckily i knew where it was) before rosia had left. i speed walked in hope of finding her and i was so thankful when i saw a familiar brunette sitting cross legged on the grass.

i sighed in relief and walked over to her slowly, sitting down beside her on the grass - she was making daisy chains and her eyes were swollen.

"hey," i smiled softly as she looked at me in surprise.

"eleanor!" she gasped and hugged me immediately - i hugged her back. "i missed you so fucking much you idiot."

"i missed you too but you were the one ignoring me dumbass," i laughed.

"oh yeah i'm sorry about that," she cringed. "i was too dumb to believe it when it was so obviously fake. penny and kat told me the whole truth and i was so heart broken i came here - they tricked me into thinking antónio cheated when i know he would never. god they are such bitches," she huffed.

"tell me about it," i joked. "i just let out a bunch of steam on them, but penny's going back to america so i guess that's good."

she nodded in agreement as i made my own daisy chain with her, we both made crowns and put it on our heads.

we both posed as i pulled out my phone and took a picture, putting it on my instagram. we laughed in happiness and i couldn't feel any more happier than i was right now.
