"eleanor, we need to talk." my mother said.

why does everyone want to talk today?

"uh - of course, mum, what's up?" i asked nervously. she told me to sit at the table with her.

"so," she said quietly, "i told you i was gonna stay here for a couple weeks, but it looks like my plans have changed."

i nodded understandingly as she continued.

"your grandma has gotten incredibly sick.. and i don't know if she'll make it or not. and that's why i need to go back to england with your aunt and uncle too. i'm not sure where you are going to stay.. so i think you might have to come with us."

my heart dropped. "wait - mum, joão's asked me to go to qatar with him. if i go then i don't need to go back to england with you?"

she didn't say anything so i begged her, "please mum. i'll be with antònio too so i'll be fine."

and then she sighed and smiled. "fine. you can go."

i grinned and hugged her. "thank you so much mum!"

"but after qatar where will you stay? your aunt and uncle will be back in january." she asked worriedly.

i thought for a second. "i can stay with joão - if he and his mother doesn't mind,"

my mother nodded, "if they don't mind then yeah, of course. we're leaving in two days."

i sighed in relief and hugged her again. "thank you, i love you."

"i love you too." she smiled as i went into my room

so.. now i have to ask joão. i decided to do it in real life and not on text, i planned to ask him tomorrow.

i took a quick bath and changed into my pajamas, brushed my teeth and got into my warm bed. i fell asleep soon after that.

"ellieee!" someone woke me up. i opened my eyes and sat up.

"eliza?" i groaned, half asleep. "what's wrong?"

"mum told me to tell you to wake up and go downstairs." she said and looked around my room curiously. she spotted joão's chocolate on my desk and gasped, "ooh can i have this please?"

i told her she could as she walked out and went downstairs. i yawned and checked the time on my phone, it was 8 am.

i went on instagram quickly and saw that i had got a dm from kevin alvarez?

i had seen a couple edits of him on fyp before but i quickly scrolled.

i was very confused on what he wanted, but i'm loyal so i left him on read. i clicked out of the message and saw a paparazzi news account. their latest video was joão from 3 days ago. the title was, "famous footballer joão félix confirms who his girlfriend is, and replies to all the fan girls - click for more."

i clicked on the video.

"i love eleanor, and to all those crazy fan girls who can't accept it, you can go fuck off." joão scoffed. "leave me and my girlfriend the fuck alone." he said as he pushed them out of the way and walked off.

i smiled as he said he loved me but also because he revealed to the paparazzi that we were dating.

i remembered that my mum had called me so i got out of bed, changed, brushed my teeth and put some light makeup on. i put my hair in a low messy bun and walked downstairs.

while i was walking in the hallway into the kitchen a hand grabbed my waist and said, "hey,"

immediately i turned around and saw joão.

"holy shit don't do that again, you bloody scared me!" i laughed as he hugged me from the back.

"i didn't mean to, i'm sorry," he also laughed.

we both walked into the kitchen together where my mum was sitting drinking tea.

"you're finally awake eleanor, it's about time." she rolled her eyes. "joão came and i thought we could all go out, you know since we won't see each other for a long time, is that okay?"

i smiled. "of course, seems like a good idea. where are we going?"

"i was hoping we could go to the cinema," joão said. "and we can watch the minions cause eliza loves the minions," (if you got this reference then i love you 💀💀)

we all agreed to the cinema as i ate a croissant for breakfast, and when i wasn't looking joão took a bite out of it.

"joão! that's my croissant!" i exclaimed as he laughed.

after everyone ate breakfast we all decided to walk since the cinema wasn't that far away. my mother and eliza walked in front while me and joão walked behind them, holding hands

"i saw what you said to the paparazzi," i said as he looked at me.

"everything i said was true." he smiled.

i looked at him and smiled back. "i love you too, then."

i kissed him passionately as my phone vibrated.

when we pulled away i saw that it was another message from kevin.

i frowned in disgust and quickly exited instagram, joão didn't see it

as soon as we got to the cinema we bought some popcorn and tango iceblasts.

i sat next to joão with my sister next to me. my mum was on the end.

i watched tiktok with joão whilst the ads were showing. and finally the movie started.

half way through the movie i got another notification from instagram and it was kevin again.

i blocked the weird guy and put my phone down, still it seems like joão didn't notice.

after the movie was over we decided to get ice cream, (even though the weather was like minus degrees)

joão got oreo ice cream, i got vanilla, eliza and my mum both got chocolate.

"you really love oreo ice cream, don't you?" i joked.

"it's the best flavour." he smiled and gave me some. and somehow i got some on my mouth.

he swiped it off with his thumb and licked it like i had done yesterday. i blushed.

"it's only oreo ice cream, don't be so dirty minded, el." he smirked, copying what i said yesterday.

we joined our lips together and laughed.

"i've got to go now to practice, i had fun today," he said as i was disappointed. "i don't think you would wanna come and sit in the cold for two hours."

"i had fun today too." i smiled.

he kissed me again softly before saying bye and walking off.

"oh where did joão go?" my mum asked.

"he had practice."

i feel like this was the most boring chapter I've written 💀

but anyway why is kevin texting eleanor? 😉 maybe something will happen in qatar..
