me and rosia continued to watch movies until it was dark. i waved goodbye to rosia when i had to leave but i was slightly disappointed that joão didn't come downstairs to say bye to me.

once me and antònio reached home we ate dinner and then i went straight to my room.

i took a relaxing bath for about an hour. once i had gotten out i saw that I had a message from joão, it was sent 20 minutes ago

butterflies appeared in my stomach as i opened his message curiously

hey i'm sorry i didn't see you when you left. i was just wondering if you were busy tomorrow or not? we could go practice and i could teach you a bit of football if you wanted to? if you can't then it's totally fine - i understand, i'll pick you up at 12.

after reading the message i blushed a bit and quickly replied,

of course! :) see you tomorrow then <3

i immediately threw my phone onto my bed, i felt a little bold so i decided to add a heart at the end. i was scared if he thought i was creepy or something until he replied soon after

OMG he added a heart too. it was about 8pm so i watched some edits of him on tiktok before falling asleep.

the next morning i woke up early; a bit too early for my liking. it was 9 am which gave me time to get ready.

i brushed my teeth and brushed my hair then i went downstairs where i saw someone i never expected.

"mum, dad!" i exclaimed in excitement. i instantly hugged both of my parents. "what are you doing here?"

"we came here for a few weeks to make sure you've settled in alright," my mum said with a smile.

i nodded and then hugged my 6 year old sister. i squeezed her tightly as she laughed. "hi liz,"

"oh yeah, your brothers gone out with a girl called rosia?" my dad added.

i smirked. of course he went out with her, i gave myself a mental note to ask rosia what they were doing later.

"i'm also going out at 12 with a boy," i said.

my mum gasped sarcastically, "you've been here a few days and you've already got a boyfriend? wow i'm proud of you! what's his name?"

i blushed, "he's not my boyfriend, his name is joão félix and we're only gonna play football together-"

my parents gasped even more. "joão félix? as in the famous footballer from portugal?" my dad asked curiously.

i sighed, i knew they were gonna say this. "yes dad. the famous footballer."

they finally dropped the topic and my aunt started cooking breakfast while me, my parents, my sister and my uncle sat at the table. i was talking to my sister and the adults talked to eachother.

i took this time to text rosia.

GIRL? YOUR ON A DATE?? i'm so proud of you 👏 did you kiss him??

"breakfast is ready!" my aunt said coming to the table. i shut my phone off and ate a piece of bread with butter.

after eating my breakfast it was already 11 i quickly put on a white shirt and a black skirt, i did some natural makeup and sprayed perfume.

by the time i was finished it was already 11:55. i sprinted outside and saw joão's car. i said bye to everyone and got inside his car.

"hey" he said with a smile. "you look nice."

"hi! and thank you." i smiled and blushed as he started to drive off. i took out my phone and saw that rosia had texted me back.

I KNOW RIGHT!! he texted me this morning and asked if i wanted to go to a cafe with him. he's soo cute and he's really kind. no we haven't kissed yet but i'll update you if we do. what are you up to??

i'm with joão, he's gonna teach me some football - i guess that will be fun

YOUR WITH MY BROTHER? OMG THIS COULD BE LIKE A DOUBLE DATE! do you guys wanna meet up with us in about an hour to go ice skating?? please say yes 🙏

i smiled. "joão?"

"hm?" he replied. that was kind of hot

"rosia asked if we wanted to go ice skating with her and antònio in about an hour? are you okay with that?" i asked.

"of course," he said with a smile,

i turned my phone off as he parked the car. we went inside and on the field as he picked out a ball. then he grinned.

"okay, i know that you're a good defender but i can teach you to be better,"

he told me to come in front of him as he kept the ball still with his foot.

"i'm going to be an attacker and try to put the ball into the net, try and stop me okay?" he said as i nodded.

i easily took the ball from him and made sure he didn't get a touch on it. i swerved it in between his legs and got hold of it again, a cool trick my brother taught me when I was younger. i heard joão mutter a 'damn'

we took it in turns to be an attacker and a defender which meant that it was my turn to attack.

i had hold of the hall so i tried not to lose it to him. i swerved it towards the net but he defended it easily. i took it back from him and aimed again until he accidentally tripped me while trying to get the ball.

before i could slip he grabbed my waist as my face turned red.

"sorry" he laughed as i just stared at him.

"no worries." i replied nervously. what was going on with me?

he let go of my waist as we played a bit more, switching places every time until we were both tired.

"i think that's all for today," he said.

"yes" i barely said since i was out of breathe. i inhaled deeply as he laughed at me.

he checked the time on his phone and it was 1:40, we were supposed to meet them at 2 so we decided to get a drink before meeting.

joão took me to a good cafe since i didn't know any places. we both decided on hot chocolate cause of the cold weather.

"could i get two hot chocolates please?" he ordered.

"joão i'll pay for them-"

"no," he insisted, touching my arm gently to stop me from getting my card out. i tingled a bit at his touch. he got out his card and paid, "it's on me." and smiled at me.

we sat at a table as we drank our hot chocolates. "mmm." i drank

i caught joão staring at me.

"why are you staring at me? do i have hot chocolate on my face?" i asked worriedly, wiping my mouth with a tissue.

"no, no don't worry," he laughed at me. "it's nothing. it was just cute."

my body froze. he just called me cute. to get out of this awkward moment i stood up quickly and finished my drink in one sip. "let's go now they are probably waiting for us." i said nervously, avoiding eye contact. he gave me a suspicious look but followed.

once we were outside it had started to snow, wow. i shivered and he noticed.

"here, take my jumper," he said as he took it off and gave it to me.

i blushed, "are you sure? wont you be cold?"

"don't worry about me. plus it looks like you needed it more," he said.

i thanked him and put it on. it was a black zip up jumper. once i had put it on i immediately felt warm - plus it smelt like him as well.
