You slowly open your eyes and look up at the.... Concrete?.... Roof? A little panicked you hop out of the bed which wasn't yours, you look around the room and it is indeed a concrete cell like room you are in, you walk towards the door which had a window with bars in it and look through it, there isn't much to look it since you can't put your head through it.  You look out into the very few feet of hallway you can see, just as you start to think that the place doesn't look familiar enough, you see a brown furred chipmunk with auburn hair come up to the door and look at you through the same window... It was the freedom fighters leader: Sally Acorn

(I know everyone knows what Sally looks like it's just... Man the Sally in the cover image just felt super off every time I looked at it so I put this one here just as a refresher if you will.)

Sally: So, you're the little thief we've been having to deal with?

(Y/N): "Little"? Guess I've gone unnoticed for a while, huh?

Sally: You're gonna be answering questions somewhere else buddy.

She opens the door and 2 echidnas one red (wonder who that could be) and the other pink come in and drag you out of your cell, Sally follows behind them.  You're led to, what's obviously an attempt at an interrogation room, except instead of the usual metal table and pair of chairs it's a crappy wooden table and pair of chairs that have so many cracks they look ready to break at any second.  You sit and wait a few more minutes until the door to the room opens, Sally walks in with a blue hedgehog who can only be the one and only Sonic the Hedgehog and Fiona comes in as well... But why? Could she have been the one who ratted you out? 

Sally sits in the chair across from you, Sonic and Fiona stand behind her, Fiona seems to have a sorrowful expression on her face.

Sally: So, you're (Y/N) right? 

(Y/N): if that's what you were told, then I guess.

Sally: Well I'll call you that until I'm corrected, it was the name that Fiona told me so... Oh, and she is the one who told us where you lived.

(Y/N): I never showed her my home-

Fiona: I followed you... Right after you left Knuckles and Rudy came up to me and asked if I had seen a(n) (F/C) (M/R) with a backpack, they told me you had stole some stuff so I decided to follow you home, I then came back and told them your location and now here we are.

You look at Fiona a little heartbroken, seeing as to how she wanted to hangout with you today, she turns away from you and looks down in shame.  

Sally: I guess you could say Fiona was looking for a little redemption after what she did to us a while back.

Sally glares at Fiona which caused her to turn her back to us completely, whatever happened she seems to be in denial about it.  Sally turns back to you and sighs.  You were starting to get sick of all the drama shit and just wanted to get down to what going to happen to you.

(Y/N): Welp judge, give me my sentence.....

Sally wastes no time giving it to you but it wasn't what you expected her to say

Sally: We want you to join us...

(Y/N): You what?

Sally: We want you to join us? Did I not say that?

(Y/N): No, you did, just.... Why?

Sally: Do you not see what you're capable of? I mean just today you almost stole some of our stuff and got away with it while interacting with a total of 3 freedom fighters.  Don't really know how you got away with the oven part though.  But seriously you're exactly what we need to hit eggman and from what I hear you mess with him in your free time, Sonic likes doing that to ya know, just...  A little bit louder.

You scoff, she wants you to join the freedom fighters just to do the things you've been doing just not to them.

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm sure I'll be a factor in liberating us from eggman, the only way I mess with him is by putting weird things on his robots.  Panties, bras, speedos, and a bunch of other embarrassing stuff.  I'm not out there waging war on him.

Sally: But why not? Why not make a stand?

(Y/N): Because it's a lost cause...

To your surprise, Sally looks somewhat taken aback by your words, like a knife was put into her back, as if those words you just said had completely taken down the freedom fighters.  Sonic and Knuckles seem to just stare at you and Fiona looks back over, interested in what's happening.

(Y/N): Come on, we've all seen what he has made and what he's capable of making.

Sally: Yet we've over come and taken them down.

(Y/N): Oh please Sally, stop with that, you and I both know Sonic is the only one who has taken most of those giants down, yeah sure sometimes Knuckles, but let's be honest it's mainly Sonic.  Those things absolutely shred any other freedom fighters and I don't plan on being one of them.

Sonic: That's not true! Sally and the others help me out alot

(Y/N): Yeah "help" my point still stands, if you weren't here the freedom fighters would have never stood a chance!

Sally looks down and thinks for a bit before sighing and looking back at you.

Sally: You know... I would call you selfish for thinking only about yourself but I guess I can understand.

(Y/N): Yup, mostly lone wolf, sooooo, life in prison or?

Sally: You'd rather sit in that cell than help us?

(Y/N): Jeez, if I do join then what exactly would I  do?

Sally: Mainly just gathering intel by scouting out eggman's bases and stuff, other than that you would be free to chill around the HQ.  You sigh

(Y/N):.......... May I get time to think on it?

Sally: Sure thing, feel free to hang around the base, I guess I'll know the answer if I see you again or not.

Sally gets up and leaves with Sonic and Knuckles following behind her, you look and see Fiona who is looking right back at you, the mad look on your face made it clear you wish not to see her and she obviously got the hint since she looks away and exits the room.

You took your time thinking about joining: On one hand you did say that their cause was a lost one, on the other hand - maybe you could really make a difference? Be second useful next to Sonic? Now that's quite the spot.  Not only that but you would get free snacks, they have a lounge area with a comfy couch and a TV and you could maybe move the stuff from your tree house over here.  It would seem that the pros outweigh the cons, you find Sally in the lounge area, she looks at you and smiles.

Sally: I guess this means that you're joining?

(Y/N): It sure does look like it.  Could I possibly go to my tree house tomorrow and get my stuff? Perhaps I could set it up just outside the HQ?Sally: Of course, I'm sure it would be a lovely addition.

You and Sally talk a little more before you head off to bed, the next morning you and some other freedom fighters took your tree house down from the original spot and moved it closer to the HQ, they added a few more hammocks around it so more people could hangout, after everything was set you decided to lay on a hammock and look up at the sky.  You didn't know where Fiona was at, but you honestly didn't care, she's the reason you're in this mess in the first place.  You decide to take a nap there, you can sort everything out later...
