Chapter 31

*Payton's POV*I reach the hotel room at the end of the hall, and open the door up with my card. Kaden's sitting on the couch on his phone, when he notices me.

"Wha-Payton what happened?!" He asks.

"Br-Brooklyn was kissing a g-girl and I saw them an--" I couldn't continue any longer, my tears were making it hard to say something, and I was shaking. Kaden just gave me the biggest hug, and I held on tightly.

"I'm sorry, Pappy, if he doesn't see how amazing you are when he had you, he really doesn't deserve you at all." he comforted.

"Thanks Kaden, you always know what to say," I smiled. We looked into each other's eyes for a bit, and I've never realized how easy it was to get lost in his. I started leaning in.

"Pay--" he started.

"I.. I thought you liked me..." I said confused, my tears slowed but still rushing down my face.

"I do, a lot. Like a looooottt. But I don't want you doing something you don't mean right now, especially because of what happened." he explained, looking sorry.

I gave this some thought for a few seconds, the subject still new in my brain.

"But what if I do mean it?"

"You... Do?" He asked, completely shocked and wide-eyed.

"Yeah, I do. All this time I've been trying to find what's right for me, and stay away from the bad things. Every time Brooklyn hurt me, you were always there for me. Honestly Kaden, I've never seen you as more than a friend, but when the guys told me today, even if it was a joke from Nash, I started to."

"I'll always be here Pay, I have been since we were 3! And it wasn't a joke, I really do like you.." he said, and those words made my stomach go insane with butterflies swarming inside me. This time he leaned in, and I kissed back. It was amazing, like someone shot off fireworks at me, but not in a way with pain involved, more like a warm fuzzy feeling to explain it.

We pull away and both smile.

"Now, how about I go run to the store across the street, get about 10 different flavors of ice cream, oreos, and Doritos, and we watch a movie?" He asks.

"Sounds perfect, thanks," I smile.

"Of course," he said and left after giving me a hug. Did we just have a moment?

Despite what just happened, I wanted to forget about Brooklyn, but something inside me wouldn't let me.

Why would he do that?

Was I not good enough for him?

I can't forgive him again like I did before, he'll just end up hurting me again.

I got out my Twitter and did what I always do when I have feelings. Subtweet.

I put my phone away and sighed. Since I'm all alone in the room right now, I decide to go to Taylor, Cam & Nash's room to see what's up.

I stepped out into the hall and made my way to their room. I gave the door a light knock and soon Shawn opened the door.

"Uh, hey, come in," he said letting me in.

"Hey," I said and sat down next to Cam and Matt on one of the beds.

"How're you feeling?" Matt asks putting his phone down, which is a rare occurrence.

"I just want to forget about it honestly, I can't have these distractions when the London VS show is in less than 2 weeks." I sighed. "Kaden went for ice cream and junk to watch movies when he gets back, you guys wanna join? I don't really wanna be alone tonight.."

"Yeah, of course Pay. We have magcon tomorrrrooow," Nash sang, I had totally forgotten! "You excited?"

"Flipping out right now that you mention it! I'm gonna tweet bout it," I smiled and took my phone out of my pocket.

I sent the tweet out and got a bunch of replies and retweets.

Then I texted Kaden while I had my phone out, to tell him I wasn't in my room.

•Pappy•I'm in Cam, Taylor and Nash's room, Shawn and Matt's here too, mind if we watch movies w them? You can forget about almost anything when you're with the guys tbh

He responded almost instantly. I love when guys don't play the waiting game..

I smiled at the thought of him liking me again. It was just so surreal, because he's literally been my best friend forever, and we sort of had a moment today. I felt another rush of emotions through my head and needed to tweet it out.

@paytonfosterI will never be good enough for you. I got that.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and Kaden came in with about 5 target grocery bags filled with about every kind of food there was to movie nights. I was getting better with my eating, but I knew that I couldn't totally indulge in too much at once.

He set the bags down in front of us, and sat down next to me, putting his arm around me. I smiled and Taylor put in the movie. I've been getting constant calls and texts from Brooklyn, so I just turned my phone off.

We watched 2 movies, Kaden and I on the couch, Shawn, Matt and Nash on one bed, and Cam and Taylor on the other.

I felt sleep coming over me, and my eyes finally shut. Somewhere in the darkness, I heard Kaden's voice say something.

"Good night beautiful."

And with that, I had a new way of falling asleep.
