*Brooklyn's POV*Payton said that she wanted to be just friends until she can trust me again. I agreed, but only to save our relationship.

After I finished unpacking, I met up with Josh and we decided to go to Cam's room where everyone was hanging out in.

Walking in, everyone was sitting down, some yelling really loudly about whatever seemed to be going on and my breath caught in my throat once I realized what was.

Payton and Kaden were making out in front of where the setup was for the video or whatever the hell they were doing. They finally pulled back and Payton noticed Josh and I standing at the doorway, and her gaze dropped to the ground while everyone calmed down a bit.

*Payton's POV*I pulled back and saw Josh and Brooklyn standing at the door. Any other person I would've been okay with but him?! Brooklyn probably hates me now.. thinking that I said we'd just stay friends just to be with Kaden....

After Brooklyn and Josh sat down I went over to where they were sitting while everyone finished the video.

"Um, that was for a dare just so you know," I mumbled.

"Was it really just for a dare?" He asked, finally peeling his eyes off of his phone. "Or was it you using the fact that we're broken up to go kiss other guys? Particularly my best friend?" He asked and the anger was evident in his voice.

"You can ask anyone, I even tried to stop it at first, I figured that it was just for the video and I didn't think it was such a big deal," I explained.

"I would've been more okay with it if you didn't have a thing in the past with Kaden."

"It was just a dare, I even have the tweet, here," I said showing him my phone. "Just a dare," I explained.

"You sure seemed like you were into it.." he said quietly.

"Yes, Brooklyn I like Kaden. He was my childhood crush and best friend and first kiss all rolled into one," his eyes widened as I said this, "but I love you," I said and he relaxed a bit. I pulled him into a long-needed hug. We pulled back and there was an unreadable expression on his face.

"So what now?" He asked. So what now....

"I need to know that I can trust you having a conversation with a girl, and nothing else happening..." I sighed.

"Pay, I only have eyes for you, nothing's gonna change that," he explained. I didn't say anything and just hugged him. It felt right in the moment, and I just wanted to be calmed.

"We good now?" He asked, not knowing what the hug meant.

"We're good," I giggled and we leaned in. My heart swelled, and my stomach erupted with butterflies, wait no, a zoo.

I pulled back and leaned my head on his shoulder, not realizing how much I've missed this feeling. Brooklyn put his arm around my shoulders and we watched everyone wrap up the video until I felt really sleepy.

"I'm gonna go get ready for bed," I said, getting up and getting my phone from the table where I set it down onto.

"Me too, I need the sleep for tomorrow," Brooklyn said and followed. Soon enough everyone broke up and went into their separate rooms. Sliding the key card into the slot on our door, I begin going to my suitcase to choose something to wear. I chose white lace shorts and a white crop top(pic in media slot), since it was really hot, now that we were in Cali. I came out and Brooklyn was already on his bed. I joined him, and just scrolled through my phone, hoping to fall asleep. I felt arms around my waist, and soon enough, I found myself falling asleep with a smile on my face.

The best way to fall asleep.
