Kaden in media slot

*Brooklyn's POV*I pull into Payton's driveway and hesitated a little. I know that something's bothering her but I don't want to ask if it's personal. I decide to let her tell me if she wants to instead of pushing for it. We get out and head inside, her opening the door. It was warmer in here, so she took off my sweatshirt and handed it back to me.

"No, you keep it. Looks better on you," I say. She smiles and sets it down on an entrance table and side hugs me. I never get it with this girl. One minute she hates me, and the next she's all over me. Not complaining or anything, but mixed signals are flying around and I'm really confused. We walk through the hallway and enter the living room, where Sean and my friends are all hanging out. Payton squirms a little and let's go of the hug. I can tell that she's bothered by them being here.

"Uh, hey," Payton says as we walk over to the sofa sectional. All of the guys were here, all looking really confused.

*Payton's POV*We walk in, me hugging Brooklyn from the side when I notice that we're not alone. I see that Sean and all of his guy friends are over, even more than yesterday. And the worst part is, Kaden's here. I avoid looking at him but I know he's looking at me and Brooklyn. And even I know it looks bad.. We walked in hugging, we were just swimming from still being in our bathing suits, but that can be a friendly thing right?

"When did this happen?" Matt said pointing at me and Brook. They can't automatically assume something happened.. Something's up. I decided to deny it and see where it goes.

"What? Nothing happened, I was just bored so we went swimming.." I said, hopefully they would believe my story.

"Quick question, have you checked your guys's Twitter lately?" Josh butted in, even though everyone was listening to the conversation.

"No, why?" I asked as me and Brooklyn simultaneously pulled out our iPhones and went on Twitter. Once I was on my timeline, the only thing I could see people tweeting about was.. "Jesus Christ," I sighed loudly and closed my eyes. A picture of me and Brooklyn kissing at the waterfall was taken and posted all over Twitter(pic in last chapter's media slot). You couldn't tell who the guy was, so everyone who saw it on Twitter wouldn't know it was Brooklyn, but considering how everyone in the room knew we went swimming today could put 2 and 2 together.

But how? I didn't even notice anyone around us at the time.. I looked up at Sean and bit my lip, not knowing what to say.

"I told you to stay away from my friends Payton! How hard is that?" He said, looking mad.

"I don't need you pre-approving my life Sean! You've been gone for the last two years of my life and I'm not the same girl you left behind in LA. I can make my own choices, and who to hang out with." I said coldly. Sean took me to another room to talk, because everyone could hear us.

"I know you're not 13 anymore, but I just wanna look out for you. I don't wanna see you getting hurt, especially by any of my best friends. I know what they're like, Payton, and you don't wanna be around them." he said.

"I know Brooklyn's part Fuckboy, but there's another part of him you haven't seen. Honestly, I know that you've known him for 2 years and I have for 2 days but it isn't even a thing yet, or ever. So let's not get worked up over literally nothing," I said, hoping that would work.

"I guess I'm okay with that.. just be careful Pay." he said with real concern in his face.

"I will.. Let's get back, I wanted to watch Final Destination 2.. you cool with that?" I asked.

"We're all going to a rave pretty soon, it's at Jaden's if you want to come," he said as we were nearing the living room.

"No, Jaden was always flirting with me and stuff.. I'll pass for now," I laugh.

"Alright, we're going in half an hour if you change your mind," he said as we finally got to everyone in the living room. I went into my room to go get changed into my clothes from before and came back downstairs.

"You guys good?" Layton asked looking at me and Sean. We nodded our heads and sat down. There weren't any other empty spots so I decided to sit on the fluffy white carpet. Brooklyn, who apparently already changed took my hand and led me up to sit next to him. I could feel everyone's eyes on us, but no one said anything. Meanwhile Kaden was just shooting daggers at Brooklyn with his eyes. I felt bad, but not really, because he ditched me for his practically a model "best friend". Then everyone continued to watch whatever was on TV. After watching an episode of The Office, the guys left and Brooklyn and I decided to go watch the movie at his house, since I couldn't figure out how to work the heating and it was literally 40 degrees. Both of our parents are away in the states for a few days, so there wasn't anyone in either of our houses. We drove over to Brooklyn's house since his car was in our driveway, and once inside, he showed me up to his room. I set my bag down and inserted the DVD into his TV. I realized that I forgot to change at my house somehow, and Brooklyn gave me a tee shirt and some Calvin Klien's to wear while he came out in just black basketball shorts. Again. Absssssssss.

I went into his closet to change and came out in just the Calvin's and my black laced Victoria's Secret bandeau I had on before. I joined him on his bed and we started watching the movie.

*Brooklyn's POV*I couldn't tell if Payton liked me or not, I mean yeah we kissed.. but she seems to only be into me half the time....

She joined me on my bed to watch the movie, and before we started watching the movie I had to ask her something that's been on my mind.

"Babe," I saw her flinch and I laughed a bit. "Do you know why Kaden was so pissed at me today? Were you guys a thing? Oh god did I break you up?" I asked panicking.

"No, we were never a thing. I thought he liked me but he said he had to go to a family thing this morning for football... then later I saw him at a Thai place with a really pretty girl. Then you and I.. Kissed and went on our date, and after that he texted me explaining that the party was canceled and the girl was his old best friend. I felt bad, but then I thought about it and with that pretty of a girl, they had to have some history, or she was after him, but either way they can't be 'just friends" she told me.

"Oh.. That's why. Do you regret going out and kissing me today? You sort of did out of anger.." I thought. Maybe she really didn't like me and did all this out of anger to get back at Kaden.

"I'm here now, aren't I?" she smiled looking up at me. What was I worrying about? No girl wants to deal with a guy and his really pretty best friend saying they're just friends when we all know that they're not.. I sighed with relief and pressed play on the remote.

Throughout the movie she kept falling asleep. She told me to wake her up if she did, because she was still getting used to the time zones and she couldn't fall asleep this early. I shook her lightly (again) and she groaned a bit and used her hands to push me away. I laughed at that, considering she was basically weightless and pushed herself away from me instead of moving me. She was so cute asleep, and I almost didn't wanna wake her up but she told me to. I needed to get her up somehow, I thought. Then an idea came to my head. I started to slowly run my fingers up her thigh, over her Calvin's, well mine, and stopping short of her waist.

"Kay I'm up, stop," she squirmed laughing and turning away from me to fall back asleep. I wrapped my hands on her bare waist and turned her around towards me again, kissing her starting from her shoulder, and up her neck making her tense up.

"You're not stopping," she laughed.

"That's because you don't want me to," I said smirking. She kept resisting when I got to her neck and made my way up to her mouth. Then she finally gave in and started kissing me.

*Payton's POV*I was falling asleep every now and then, only to be shook awake by Brooklyn. Then after I thought he would let me go back to sleep, he started running his fingers up my leg and to my stomach. I squirmed a bit as I realized what was going on, and this received a chuckle from Brook.

"Kay I'm up, stop" I laughed at his attempt of waking me up. I turned around so he couldn't get to me but he turned me around. Damn his strong arms. I felt light kisses start from my shoulder working their way up towards my neck and I tensed.

"You're not stopping," I laughed.

"That's because you don't want me to," he flashed me his signature smirk. He was nearing my neck, and up meeting my mouth. I gave in, and kissed back, feeling his arms pull me closer. Not pulling back from the kiss, he lifted me up and pushed me up against a nearby wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he grabbed my butt to hold me up. One of my arms was on his neck and the other was lightly tugging his hair. Brooklyn bit my bottom lip lightly, then released, continuing to kiss me pushed against the wall. My phone started ringing and I pulled back, really irritated at whoever was on the other line. Brooklyn put me down on the bed and sat next to me, flipping through the TV channels. Sean was calling me and I picked up.

P>hey, what's up?S>The party was broken up early by the cops, me and the guys are home now, where are you?P>oh my god are you guys okay?S>yeah we're fine, still didn't answer my question..P>uh.. I'm at Brooklyn's. I couldn't figure out how to work the heat, and it was really cold so we went to go watch the movie here.S>is that all that you were doing?P>seaaaaannnnn I'm freaking 16 for god's sakeS>well in my defense there's that one show on mtv..P>Sean I will literally slap you tomorrow for that.S>alright, alright (laughs) are you staying over?P>yeah, I'm dead tired, still jet laggedS>Kay, night PayP>night Sean

And with that I hung up. I saw Brooklyn doing guess what;

Smirking at me.

"You awake now?" He winked.

"Yeah," I smiled and joined Brooklyn on his bed, cuddling his side. I started thinking about mindless things and such, then one thought popped into my head.

A lot can happen to two strangers in a matter of days.
