Mark woke up the next morning with a headache. The scene from the Jewelry store replaying in his head. He twisted and turned in his bed trying to forget what he saw, but couldn't.

After almost 30 minutes of fighting with himself Mark got up and headed to his bathroom. He brushed his teeth and did his make up. He wanted a natural look, so he was done quickly. He changed himself into some tight ripped jeans and a white Gucci hoodie. He matched them with some light accessories and white Gucci shoes.

He headed out of his house and headed towards Mrs.Yang restaurant. Once inside the store Mark made his way to the back and looked for Mrs.Yang. When he finally found her, they greeted each other and talked for a bit.

"Mark what are you doing here?"

"I came because I wanted to help around today. I start working tomorrow, so you might not see me as often."

"I see, but you should rest today. Don't overwork yourself."

"Mrs.Yang let me help you. You've done so much for me that I'm indebted to you."

"Okay okay. I won't go against it. You can be my waiter for today okay?"

"Okay. Thank you."

Mark hugged Mrs.Yang who returned the hug. She gave him the things he needed to work and Mark happily started going around and taking orders.

Jackson found himself in his girlfriend's apartment. They decided to go out on a date, a dinner date. He told his manager, who told him to be extremely careful and to not let anything leak. Jackson assured him nothing was going to get out as he was thinking of going to a small restaurant.

"Jackson? Baby, how does this look on me?"

Jackson scanned the girls outfit and noticed how tight it looked, but didn't feel anything.

"It looks good. Come on before we're late."

Jackson grabbed his car keys and before they left the apartment he looked at his girlfriend.

"Remember Rose. We can't hug, kiss, hold hands, anything like that okay? We're just friends if anyone asks."

"Yes I know. I've been dating you for a year Jackson."

Rose giggled and Jackson only smiled. They got in his car and he started driving to the restaurant. He got to his childhood neighborhood and parked in front of Bamboo. His favorite restaurant.

He got out and walked inside the place with Rose. They were taken to their tables and were told their waiter would be on their way.

————————

Mark was hurriedly walking to the back. Getting the food for table 12. Before he left though, one of Mrs. employees came up to him.

"Mark can you go to table 20 in the back? They need a waiter."

"Sure thing Chenle."

Mark went to table 12 and placed their food on the table. He asked if everything was okay and then headed to table 20. He was getting a new sheet ready to take their order. Once there he was met with the same couple from the night before. Mark felt his body tense up at the sight of the person he never expected to see.

——————

Jackson was talking to Rose about his world tour going on and how he wasn't going to be able to see her for a few months. She was pouting at him when they're waiter came. Jackson looked up and felt his breath being taken away.

Jackson and Mark looked at each other's eyes for a good moment. Neither of them saying anything to each other. They're moment was cut by Rose who cleared her throat.

"U-um W-welcome to Bamboo. Are you ready to order?"

"Yes I would like some water and you Jacky? What do you want?"

"I-I-I'll some water too please."

"Okay. Would you like to order your food as well. Or do you need another m-moment?"

"We'll look at the menu a bit longer."

"I-okay."

Mark made his way towards the kitchen and felt a sudden urge to throw up. He ran to the employees bathroom and threw up on inside the toilet. While throwing up Chenle walked in worried about the older.

"Mark are you okay?"

Mark just threw up once again and Chenle made a disgusted expression. He grabbed some towels and got them wet. He handed them to Mark who gratefully took them and cleaned his face.

"What's wrong are you okay?"

"Y-yes I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You just threw up."

"I'm okay now."

"Okay. Do you want me to tell Mrs.Yang? You should head home and get some rest."

"No the restaurants is about to close. I'll help close the place okay?"

Chenle hesitantly agreed and Mark went and filled the two cups of water for table 20. He grabbed the orders for another table he was serving and made his way to the tables.

Mark steadied his breath when he reached Jackson table. He noticed how the other seemed uncomfortable and avoided eye contact with him. Mark set their waters on the table and took his notepad out to take their orders.

"Are you guys ready to order?"

"Yes. Can we get a hot pot? Along with some Baozi for me."

"Okay and for you sir?"

"....."

"Sir?"

"......"

Rose reached forward and tapped Jackson's cheek. Mark tensed up seeing the scene in front of him. By the interaction between the two Mark guessed they were dating. Jackson out of shock smacked Rose's hand.

"Huh?"

"W-would you like t-to order anything s-sir?

"Yes. I want some Kung Pao chicken and rice please."

"O-of course."

"Why do you stutter so much?"

Rose asked, which made Mark feel embarrassed and Jackson mad.

"Do you have a problem with it?"

Jackson asked which caught both Mark and Rose by surprise.

"No. I'm just saying he seems like a retard stuttering like that."

"I'm sorry ma'am."

"Why are you apologizing? If you stutter that's not her problem. She shouldn't worry about it. You shouldn't apologize for things you can't control."

Jackson said while looking at Mark. Mark looked at Jackson with big doe eyes and felt himself blush. They both looked away from each other.

"Do you know each other?"

Neither of them spoke up and Mark just bit his lip.

"I-I'll go ahead and give your order to our c-chef."

Mark reached for the menus and his fingers touched with Jackson's. Both males felt their hearts start to beat faster. Mark gulped and grabbed the menus and headed to the back before he died of a heart attack.

———————

"Do you know him?"

"Y-yeah. I've known his since my childhood, but I hadn't seen him in two years."

"Why?"

"It's a long story that doesn't concern you."

"Why doesn't it concern me. It's not like you guys dated. Eww imagine that. That's disgusting."

Rose laughed while shaking her head. Jackson only watched her and didn't say anything.

"Rose. Are you homophobic?"

"Yeah. I find homosexuality or anything LGBTQ gross. That's disgusting how can you like a person of the same sex right?"

"Why do you think that?"

"It's wrong. Mother nature made for man and woman to be together. Not man and man or woman and woman. Do you not find that disgusting?"

"No I don't. I believe that if you love someone the body they came in doesn't matter. What matters is the person's personality. Their soul and who they are is what matters not their body."

Rose looked at Jackson with a surprised expression. The two didn't talk until Mark came back with their food.

"Here's your hot pot. Your Baozi ma'am and here's your rice with Kung Pao chicken sir. Is everything okay?"

"Yes. Thank you Mark."

Mark was shocked that Jackson had just said his name, but nonetheless smiled at the other. Jackson smile back at Mark. He finally got to see that beautiful smiled he missed so much.

Mark smiled one last time at Jackson before he left to go serve other tables.

Jackson and Rose ate their meal in silence both thinking about very different things.

"Jackson can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Did you and Mark ever date?"

Jackson started chocking on his rice and hurriedly grabbed some water and drank it. After he calmed down he looked at Rose who seemed surprised with the other's reaction.

"Why are you asking such an absurd question?"

"I'm just wondering with your whole not body and soul thing, you had me wondering."

Jackson sighed and looked at Rose with an unbothered expression.

"No Rose. Me and Mark have never dated."

"Okay."

They finished their meal and Mark came over one last time.

"Did you find everything okay?"

"Yes. Can we have the bill please?"

"You Can just go to the cashier. They'll give you your total."

"Okay. Take care Mark."

"You too."

Mark wanted to apologize to Jackson about everything, but he knew this want the right time, but he also didn't know if he would ever see the other ever again. Mark only sighed and started cleaning the table.

—————————

Jackson hugged Rose at the door of her apartment and the other walked in. Jackson stood there debating with himself about something. He finally made his choice and rang Roses doorbell.

"Yes?"

"Rose, I-I want to break up with you."

Rose furrowed her eyebrows.

"Why?"

"I just don't feel comfortable going out with someone. I don't like our relationship and I want to focus on my career."

Rose sighed and felt mad.

"You can't break up with me."

"Yes I Can Rose."

"No! I'll expose you."

"With what?"

"The messages and everything."

"Rose you have nothing on me. All of our messages seem as if you're harassing me. I never sent any heart emojis or anything that gave off that I was dating you. You don't have any pictures of me with you or anything that could give off that we were ever dating. You also signed a contract that if we broke up and you exposed anything that I could sue you."

Jackson smirked proud of himself while Rose only have tears of anger in her eyes.

"You asshole."

Rose reached forward to smack Jackson, but before she could the other moved and started walking away. Jackson got in his car and drove back to Bamboo. He felt pathetic with himself, but he couldn't help himself. He wanted Mark and he was going to get him.

————————

Mark closed the shop and said his goodbye to Mrs.Yang when she got in her car. He stretched his sore body and felt exhausted. He was about to walk towards his house when a car parked in front of Bamboo.

Mark turned around and saw Jackson get out of his car. The two stood there facing each other. Mark felt breath become unsteady. He felt tears build up in his eyes. He ran towards Jackson and hugged the other.
