Day 14. 23

Jackson woke up with huge red swollen eyes. He checked his phone and saw the lock screen picture of Mark he had. He opened his phone and saw the home screen picture he had of Mark. He went to his messages and saw one from his manager telling him to meet him at the JYP building at 10 am exactly. Jackson looked at the time it was 9 am.

He got up and started getting ready. After he was ready he went to the living where he saw the other trainees. No one spoke about anything and there was an uncomfortable silence surrounding them. They were all dressed up as well. Youngjae saw Jackson walk into the kitchen and smiled. Jackson returned the smile back and grabbed some cereal and milk.

All five trainees were sitting in an office. They were all nervous and didn't know why they were all being called.

A few minutes later, their manager walked in with three other people. They all stood up, bowed, and greeted them. They bowed their head backs and everyone stood in silence in the room.

"Good morning, we've called you today because as you know the company has decided to debut some new idols. We've looked through all of your folders and seen how you perform. We've been watching you all closely and what you've been doing."

A tall guy spoke at the mention that they've been watching everything they've done, Jackson felt his heart speed up. He was nervously playing with his fingers.

"We have decided to debut some of you in a group and others as solo artist. We have a contract that you can read over and sign if you'd like. If not than this will be the end of your journey as a trainee for JYP."

They each got handed contracts and Jackson received his. He read over the headings that said. Contract with JYP as solo artist. Jackson wanted to cry in that moment he felt so happy for achieving his goal when many told him he couldn't. He read over the contract and didn't find anything inappropriate, so he signed all the papers that needed to be. He looked up and handed it to their manager.

"Okay, sense all of you have signed, thank you. We will work hard for you and hope that you work hard for us as well. Just to let each of you know who's in what though, Jackson Wang would be a Solo artist. Bambam, Youngjae, JB, and Yugyeom will be a new idol group. Thank you go back to your dorms and pack your things. We will be picking you all up and taking you to your new places."

Mark sighed as he placed his sunglasses on. He walked through the airport surrounded by his body guards. The news that him and Jinyoung had broken up had been spread; and even though South Korea didn't openly accept same sex couples people still liked to gossip.

After a lot of struggling of rejecting reporters, Mark finally made it inside the plane. He took his seat and took a deep breath. He rubbed his eyes as they were sore from all the crying he had been doing the night before. He hadn't talked about it with anyone and was dreading to do so.

Mark closed his eyes and tried his best to fall asleep. He was almost successful, but someone called his name. Mark opened his eyes and saw Lay standing there. Mark smiled and the other walked up to him. He sat down on the seat next to Mark's.

"Hey Mark."

"Hi Lay. How are you?"

"I'm good and you?"

"I'm holding on."

"How come?"

"Stuff. Just life you know. How come your on the plane? Are you stalking me?"

Mark said forcing out a giggle. He saw Lay turn beat red and pout.

"I'm not stalking you. I'm on a world tour right now. I'm heading to LA for a concert there."

Mark looked at Lay surprised. Not expecting the other to be a famous singer.

"Wow you're a singer? That's cool. I'm heading to LA because I live there."

"That's cool. So what's in your mind? You seem down."

"What do you mean? I'm not sad, I'm just a bit tired work has me a bit stressed."

"I know you're lying. You're very obvious."

Mark sighed and knew there was no way the other would let him go, so he decided to tell him the truth.

"Well when I first came here to Korea two weeks ago, I was coming for work. I wasn't expecting to meet my long lost best friend that I hadn't seen in 11 years..."

Mark started telling Lay everything about his relationship with Jackson. From when they were kids to the day he left and moved to the US. He took pauses in his story trying his best to not let the tears out. He told Lay how Jackson had taken him out. He told him that he cheated on Jinyoung and that later the other came and messed up his chances with Jackson. How he felt sorry, but couldn't do anything about it. How Jackson had told him to leave him and to never look for him again.

He told Lay that when the snowflake melted in his hand, it compared to his relationship with Jackson. It looked beautiful on the outside, but quickly disappeared when it was getting warm.

When he finished Mark found himself crying, he felt Lay wrap his arms around him and comfort him. Mark cried and cried. He couldn't close the waterfalls that had opened in his eyes. All the pain and anger he had been holding in where let out. All the years of his yearning for love were finally comforted, but only momentarily.

"Mark I'm sorry to hear all of this, but are you just going to give up so easily? Are you just going to let the man who makes you happy leave and never see him again?"

"I told you, he told me to never look for him. I messed up Lay. I shouldn't have done what I did. I hurt his feelings and I deserve all the pain I'm feeling now."

"I can't force you into doing anything. I'm going to be here for you okay? I'll take care of you and I'll be there to support your decisions."

Mark looked up at Lay and smiled. He hugged the other and lay returned the gesture.

"Thank you. I really mean it."

"Of course love."

Mark and Lay went their separate ways after their plane landed. Mark made his way to his house. He made it inside his place. He went around his place and grabbed Jinyoung's  things. He placed them all in bags and set them inside a closet. He cleaned his place and fell asleep. He fell asleep and dreamt of what his future would be like without Jackson.
