Again?10
05:01, 21 April 2020Mark closed the last zipper on his suitcase and made his way towards the cab that was waiting for him. He placed his things in the car and proceeded to tell the driver where he was headed.
Mark hopped off the car and walked towards the entrance of the airport, but not before paying the driver. He went through all the procedures and once ready he headed towards his plane. Mark sat down and waited for his flight to begin.
Mark was sitting down looking out the window when someone sat next to him. Mark turned around to see who it was and noticed a very handsome man looking at him. They both smiled at each other. The man sat next to Mark and was looking for something inside his bag. Mark brought his attention back to the outside of the plane where he saw other people boarding their planes.
"Excuse me."
Mark turned his attention to the sound of the voice.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry if this is weird, but I think I've seen you somewhere before?"
Mark looked a bit confused but smiled anyway.
"I don't think I've had the pleasure to meet you before. My name is Mark Tuan."
Mark extended his hand out and the stranger happily shook it.
"Nice to meet you, Mark, my name is Zhang Yixing, but my friends call me Lay."
"Nice to meet you Lay. I don't think we've ever met, but I hope we can be friends?"
"Definitely!"
Mark giggled at the other's enthusiasm and got comfortable in his seat. The two males talked during their flight getting to know each other better. They spent their hours on the plane laughing and eating. Finally, the plane arrived at the airport and mark got up and stretched his numb body. He and Yixing both got off the plane and made their way to pick up their luggage.
"It was nice meeting you. I hope I can see you again?" Said Yixing.
"Of course. Here give me your phone and I'll put my phone number in."
"Okay."
With that Yixing took his phone out and gave it to Mark who put his phone number into the device. The two bid their farewells and went their separate ways. Mark took in a deep breath and walked towards the hotel he would be staying at. He went to the front desk and checked in and proceeded towards his room.
Once inside Mark went and took a shower and dressed in some comfortable clothes. He started watching tv until his phone ringed showing he had a FaceTime call from Jinyoung. Mark hesitantly pressed the answer button and faked a smile.
"Hey baby."
"Hi Jinyoung."
"How are you?"
"I'm good and you?"
"I'm doing very bad."
"Why?"
"Because you're on the other side of the world and not next to me right now."
"Aww don't miss me too much love. I'm going to be back home before you know it."
"I know, but I still want to hug you and kiss you and spoil you with everything I have."
Mark smiled at the screen. The two kept on talking more and more until Mark came up with an excuse to hang up. The two bid their farewells and Mark let himself fall on the bed. He let out a huge sigh and felt guilt build up in his stomach.
He kept on thinking back to what Mrs.Yang had told him and felt himself get more and more depressed. He got up and dressed into an oversized hoodie and some ripped jeans and walked to the near buy coffee shop. He walked in and felt himself get a little bit happy at the smell of the coffee.
He ordered some food and once he received it he looked for a good table to relax in. He found one in the corner of the store right next to the window. He happily walked towards the table and sat down he started eating his food and once finished he ordered a coffee and started reading a book named, "I'll give you the sun."
He was peacefully reading his book until a group of guys came into the small shop, they were very loud and made it difficult for him to read his book. He was starting to get aggravated by it, but he was still not done with his coffee. Mark couldn't fully concentrate on his book as the voice of one of the guys at the table sounded very familiar. He pushed the thought and away and decided to finish the chapter he was in. Then he would head to his room and go to work the next day.
Mark was almost done reading he only had one more page to go until he felt a presence next to him.
"E-excuse me?"
Mark looked up, but couldn't see the other guys face, so he spoke up.
"Yes?"
"Umm I think you're cute and I wanted to see if I could have your number?"
Mark felt his whole face go red from what the other guy had just said. His heart started to beat faster and his shyness wasn't helping. Even though Mark felt like he was going to die from how fast his heart was beating he was still a nice person.
"Sure."
Mark giggled and felt shy about what was going on.
"C-can I have your phone."
Mark spoke up and saw the other guy slide his phone on the table while still looking at the floor. He typed in his number along with his name and gave the phone back to the guy.
"Here you go."
Mark felt shy for a very weird reason and decided to look out the window while taking a sip of his coffee. He didn't hear the guy say anything else, so he turned around to see if the guy was still there. What he didn't expect was to see his childhood best friend standing in front of him.
Mark and Jackson made eye contact. Mark felt his eyes get teary. Out of anywhere in the world he never expected to see his friend again after 11 long years in a coffee shop in a different country.
"J-J-Jackson?"
