Bye.6

20:17, 9 April 2020

Mark turned around the corner and noticed the old playground where he and his friends used to play in when they were little. The playground equipment looked just as Mark remembered it. The people must've kept on taking good care of it while he was gone.

He walked towards the swing set and sat down while lightly swinging himself. He looked at the swing next to him and a hurtful memory came to mind.

Jackson and Mark were walking around the town on their first date, but Mark knew it would also be their last. The two were walking around talking about simple random things that made them smile.

The two had bought some chips and drinks to have while walking around. Mark kept on laughing at Jackson's random cheesy pick-up lines and jokes. The two ended up at their childhood park in which the two had met when Mark was 4 while Jackson was 3 years old.

Mark sadly smiled at the sight of the park.

"Jackson do you remember when we first met here?"

Jackson lightly smiled

"Yeah you had fallen on the ground and you were crying and then I came and asked you if you were okay."

Mark playfully rolled his eyes but smiled.

"Yeah you were so worried about me and helped me clean the scratches on my knees."

"Yeah I took you to my house and then you were like oh my house is like a few down the block."

"And then we started playing more often with each other."

"You came over my house for playdates and ate candy with me."

"And then you cried when I had my first day of school because you couldn't come with me and had to stay home."

"And you told me it was going to be okay because I was going to go to school with you the next year."

"Then you went over to my house and we ate ice cream while watching Disney movies together."

"I had my first day of school with you and our moms took pictures of us and we happily walked to school together."

"We went to school together until I had to start Junior middle and then you ranted off about how life was unfair and had let me be born one year before you."

Jackson softly laughed at the memory of his younger self ranting.

" yeah I remember. We grew apart from each other that year and then you met Jinyoung and yeah.."

"But I told you that I liked you and only wanted you. We started going to school together again and we became the amazing friends we have been over the years."

"Yeah and we had our first kiss and I'm your first boyfriend now I took you on your first date."

Mark hit Jackson's shoulder and blushed crept on his face. He smiled, but that was instantly replaced with a frown as he saw the black Range Rover that was making its way towards the park.

"Yeah and you're also going to be my first b-break up."

A series of expression flowed through Jackson's face at once. Shock, confusion, sadness, anger, and something that seemed like hope in Mark's eyes.

"J-Jackson I- I'm sorry, but I have to leave you."

Mark turned and looked at the car parked on the side of the street. He turned to look at Jackson. With tear-filled eyes he reached to touch the younger's face and wiped the tears falling on his handsome face.

"I promise I'll come back to you. Remember that I love you. I always have and I always will."

Mark leaned forward and pressed a soft tender kiss against Jackson's lips. He felt the tears threatening to fall. He harshly wiped his eyes and turned running towards the car waiting for him.

He got inside the car. He sat down and placed his seatbelt on himself. He looked through the black tinted windows at the love of his life. Crying.

Mark saw Jackson running towards the car, but before he could reach it; the car turned on a corner and drove away. Jackson saw the car leave with the one person that made him feel like his true self.
