Sadรฉ's POV:
โ Saturday, November 5th
I was driving my pink Range Rover, on my way to Hailie's house. It was some time around lunch time. We had decided to spend the day together this Saturday. We were going to head out to lunch then go and show ourselves some love with a self care day. Even though I had just went on a self care day over a week ago, I was so stressed out and I really needed this. I also just wanted to spend some quality time with my girl, Hailie. So we were planning to get our hair done, get our nails done, and get waxed. I had already gotten my lash extensions done so I didn't need to get them filled in or redone today.
I had wore a basic outfit. I haven't really been feeling like dressing up or putting much effort into my appearance since everything went down. I was just overly tired - Overly done with it all. So I threw on a pair of Marshall's sweatpants that were so big on me I had to triple tie the drawstrings, a light grey hoodie, and a green jacket. I wore my Yeezy slides and socks, not really caring how I looked. I didn't bother with makeup, and my currently blonde hair was thrown up in a half up half down do.
I had just arrived to Hailie's house and texted her that I was here. I parked my truck in her driveway, waiting for her to come out. It was so cold here in The D now that I literally didn't even want to step outside. I turned my heat on full blast, warming myself and the car up. Hai eventually came out, getting inside the car & putting her seatbelt on.
"Hey, girl! I missed you even tho I just saw you before you left." She greeted me, laughing.
"Well, I'm backkk." I gave jazz hands with a smile.
"I'm sorry all that happened to you. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now." She sympathized as I started to drive to the cafe we would be having lunch at.
"It's..." I sighed tiredly, "It is what it is. Things happen for a reason. Hopefully things will work themselves out."
"What are you going to do about your videos? You can always film at my house, ya' know." She offered.
"Thanks, but I'm not filming anymore. I don't really want to do the whole social media thing anymore. I'm just going to finish up these brand deals by Monday and Tuesday, publish them, then just go ghost. I don't want to be on the internet anymore." I told her numbly.
I didn't have any emotion when talking about this anymore. The whole situation just kind of made me turned off from the world. And I didn't want to give it anymore of my time nor energy. So whenever I talked about it or anything I just didn't show any emotion: I had become numb to all of the bullshit at this point.
"Is that what you really want to do though? Just give up?" She looked over at me as I kept my eyes focused on the road.
"I wouldn't say it's giving up... It's just not caring. I just don't care anymore. That's all." I replied nonchalantly.
I was really over this whole conversation entirely. It was nothing against Hailie, but I just didn't want to talk about it anymore. She sensed my distaste for the subject, and started to talk about something else.
"So, how are things with you and dad? He said he was really happy you were staying with him when I last spoke to him on the phone." She said with a cheerful tone.
"Really?" I said with shy smile, "Things are great. We're both really happy with each other, just chillin'" I answered her question.
"Awe, you guys are my favorite couple. I'm so happy I introduced you guys, and that dad found someone who truly makes him happy." She said gleefully.
"Me too. Sooo, how are you and Evan?" I gave her an intrigued side eye.
"We're great too. I think he's going to propose to me soon." She said sheepishly.
"No way! What?!" I screamed out in pure disbelief.
Her and Evan have been dating for the past 7 years, according to what she told me. I think they're really cute together, and compliment each other well. If this is true, then I'm really happy for her. She definitely deserves it after all this time.
"Yesss. The other day Alaina texted him asking where he was at, and he kinda stumbled over his words when I asked him about it. Then before that, Alaina started talking to me about what type of engagement ring I'd like, which by the way, I have absolutely no clue." She rambled.
"Eeek" I squealed, "My good sis is about to be a married woman!" I cheesed, happy for her.
"I hope so!" She laughed.
We continued to talk and gossip about everything until we got to our destination and got our day started.
Marshall's POV:
โ Meanwhile With Marshall
While Sadรฉ was out, spending the day with Hailie, I needed to take care of some business. I was in my car, driving on my way to Karinna's house. I had a lot of shit I needed to take care of, and I was going to take care of it for my baby. I wasn't about to let anybody cross her. And I damn sure didn't need her to be stressing like that.
I know she forgave me for what I did & wasn't upset about it, but that doesn't make what I did right. I still lowkey did some "grimy shit" as she calls it. There wasn't really anything I could do about it though except for move forward and promise myself not to do it again. I knew that wouldn't be a problem though so I wasn't trippin'.
I eventually pulled up in front of Karinna's house some 30 minutes later. She didn't necessarily live in the best neighborhood, but it was still a nice ass area. How she's able to still afford this? I don't know because I docked her pay after everything went down between us back in August just because she pissed me off. I lowered my hat, pulling my hoodie up as I got out the car, walking up to her doorstep. I banged on her door, waiting for her to answer. I knew she was home because I seen her car was parked outside. She eventually opened up, looking me up and down.
"The hell do you want, Mr.Mathers? To fuck again?" She asked bitterly.
I wanted to burst out in laughter because I would never fuck this bitch again. Not in a million years. However, I managed to keep up my usual emotionless face whenever I was out in public or around people I ain't really click with like that.
"Nah. Don't get your hopes up. I came here because we need to discuss some things." I told her.
She stepped to the side, opening up the door some more to allow me to step inside. I walked in, taking a seat on her couch. She closed the door, then came and took a seat across from me on the other couch. I didn't even give her a chance to properly get comfortable before I just cut to the chase.
"Yo, so what's all that bullshit you got against my lady?" I ask her, feeling myself become heated.
"Sadรฉ Myers?" She asked as if she didn't know who she was.
"No, Rebecca. Duh, Sadรฉ Myers. The hell you constantly antagonizing her for?" I hissed.
"I have no clue what you're talking about." She rolled her eyes.
"Stop with the lies. You know exactly what I'm talking about. That little hate account you run? We know about it, and we all know it's you. So you better get to talking." I demand.
"I literally don't know what the fuck you're talking about." She continued to claim her innocence.
She keeps trying to deny her wrong doings as if she's clueless, looking at me with confusion written on her face. I wasn't about to fall for any of these games these hoes play anymore. Not after that Skylar situation. I'm not believing anything that comes out of Karinna's mouth.
"So you're telling me you didn't leak her address, never tried to post her nudes, never threatened her, never made an entire account just to throw jabs at her & target her, and never once paid her any mind?" I asked her lowly.
"That's exactly what I'm telling you, Marshall."
I ran my hand over my face, trying to ease my anger. It wasn't working though.
"STOP PULLING LIES OUT OF YOUR FUCKING ASS!" I yelled at her, completely loosing it.
"I LITERALLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYTHING THAT YOU'RE CLAIMING I DID." She got up flailing her arms in the air.
"BULLSHIT. YOU'RE THE ONLY INE WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO DO THIS. THE ONLY FUCKING ONE. YOU LITERALLY SAID I WOULD REGRET IT. DID YOU NOT?" I get up from my spot on the couch as well.
I wasn't about to let this girl tower over me. Who the hell does she think she is?
"Yes, but I said YOU would regret it. Not HER." She tried to defend herself.
I didn't even respond. I just pulled out my phone, pulling up all the receipts Paul sent me. I chucked it to her, as she looked over it all.
"So that ain't you?" I scowled, glaring at her full of disgust.
She didn't even say anything. She just handed the phone back to me, side eyeing me. That's exactly what I thought. I know she fucking did this dirty ass shit to my lady.
"I said, "That. Ain't. You?"" I repeated myself just wanting her to admit it.
"No. I told you it's not." She told me quietly.
"BULLSHIT." I walked over to her, getting all up in her face now.
"If it ain't you then who the fuck is it?" Huh?!" I screamed at her, my right eye twitching.
She just looked at me, a smug look on her face. I swear if I was the old me, I would've started choking her ass out right here, right now.
"I don't know, but I'm glad that they did it. The bitch is finally getting what she deserves. Walking around like she's all that." She gave a sarcastic laugh.
"You're fucking sick. You know that? You're fucking sick on the head, bitch. Good luck when they come and get your ass. You better back up off Sae. I ain't playing, bitch." I backed up, getting ready to leave.
"They're not going to get me for shit because I didn't do anything." She barked back.
I kissed my teeth, trying not to be the one to get arrested today. I just walked to the door, opening it. But before I left, I made sure to turn around and look her dead in the eye as she was watching me.
"Oh, and you're fucking fired." I smirked at her.
"WHAT? YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" She started to cry hysterically.
I ignored her cries and pleads for her job back, but I just walked out slamming the door and getting in my car. She followed me out, but I just got in my car, locking all my doors quickly. This bitch is bonkers, dawg. She started banding on my window on the drivers side, trying to open up my door. I just turned my head to look at her, giving her the middle finger. I threw my car into drive, going back home.
โ Later That Day
I was sat up in my sneaker room, my feet propped up on the coffee table. I still can't believe that Sadรฉ did all this for me. She is literally such a sweetheart. I couldn't wait to do something like this for her in a few days.
Anyways, I was on my laptop in my sneaker room, doing some online shopping. I had already purchased everything for her room that I planned to create for her here. I had some help on what to get from the girls because honestly, I don't know much about technology, or cameras, or fashion, or anything of that nature. I only know what they've told me and the things I've learned from hearing Sae talk about it.
I was also looking at some sneakers that I wanted to purchase for myself. There was a whole bunch of new pairs that I wanted to cop from a few different places so that's what I was currently doing. While doing that though, my eyes wondered over to the women's section on websites and I started adding shit to my cart for Sadรฉ too. I never minded buying her anything because I love spoiling her. That's my baby, and whatever she wants she gets. Plus, I thought she would look hella fire in some of these pairs of Nikes and others as well. I know it's not necessarily her cup of tea, but she has style and can literally make anything look good so I know she'll be able to rock these.
Not only that, but I peeped her starting to slowly be interested in them. Let her tell it, and she'll say she only wears heels, crocs, boots, and the occasional converse; Very much feminine attire. But I've noticed that since she started dating me officially, she's been copping a few pairs of sneakers here and there. Granted it's only there pairs: Our matching air maxes, some white air forces, and a pair of Yeezy slides. Still though, as her boyfriend who's a sneaker head, I gotta help her get her game up. So yea, I may have bought her a couple of pairs too.
Don't think she doesn't spoil me too though because she definitely does. She's always bringing me something back from whenever she goes shopping because she "thought I would like it" or "it reminded her of me." And she's always so kind and does so many things for me like cooking, making sure things are in order while I'm away at work, and just making sure I'm happy in general. She always lets me talk to her about anything, and just sits there and listens to all my problems or troubles. Even when I'm acting like an "old man" and can't figure something out she's there helping me understand it, like when taking selfies or something technical, or understanding slang and emojis, which I'm still getting the hang of by the way. So yea, the spoiling was definitely mutual.
โ Some Time Shortly After
It was a little after 8 when I heard Sadรฉ calling my name. I was still located in the sneaker room, lounging and watching a game on the tv.
"Marshall? Where are you?" She yelled as I heard her make her way up the stairs.
She must've just came home from her girls day with my daughter, Hailie.
"Sneaker room!" I yelled back, not taking my eyes off the game.
She came in a little while later, in the same clothes she had left out in, but she looked different. Her natural hair was back now, and it was straightened. She also has changed her nails from being Halloween themed to different colors of the fall. She looked good, as per usual, but I really liked her natural hair the most. Whether it was straight or curly, her real hair was my favorite for sure.
She sat down next to me, opening up two take out plates of Chinese food for the both of us. This girl is always eating I swear. I don't know where she puts it all though because she's so small and doesn't even work out. And she's always trying to feed me, which is a bit problematic because unlike her I do gain weight! I have to work out at the gym twice as hard now, but I'm not complaining. I'll eat whatever she feeds me. Even that... Anyways...
"How was your day?" She asked handing me a fork, starting to eat her food.
"It was good. I handled some business that needed to be taken care of. Watched some sports all day while I waited for you, and did a few other things." I replied.
"Like what kind of business?" She asked curiously, making conversation.
"Baby, business. Don't worry about it." I gave her a kiss on the cheek to distract her from pressing the issue, How was your day? You look beautiful." I told her, taking a bite of my orange chicken.
"Thank you. It was nice. I had a good time with Hailie. Baby, guess what? But you have to promise not to say anything." She stuck her pinky out.
"I promise." I chuckled deeply, pinky promising her as I hooked mines around hers.
"Okay. Hailie said she thinks Evan is going to propose to her soon. But don't say anything to either of them!" She gossiped to me.
I physically felt myself stop chewing, and start to choke on my food. I quickly swallowed it, chugging the iced tea I had been drinking. I know my little girl is not about to be engaged. Sadรฉ patted my back, laughing at me hysterically.
"Please tell me you're lying." I let out in between coughs.
"Marshall, Hailie is literally about to be 27 and has been dating Evan for the last 7 years. I'm not lying." She justified.
I looked at her like she was crazy. Is she really on her side right now? Is she really justifying the marriage of my daughter to me, her father?
"And?! That doesn't mean anything! She is way too young to be doing grown people things, like getting married." I exclaimed.
"Is she too young or are you just not ready for her to grow up, and walk her down the aisle because that's your baby?" She asked me bitter-sweetly.
I was silent for a few seconds, thinking before I gave her an answer. Although we both knew the answer to it. Hailie is my baby girl, my whole heart. I literally have her name and face tatted on me for life. All my daughters are my everything. I love them all equally. I just wasn't ready for another one of my babies to go off and get married to some man. It's bad enough one is already about to do that in a few months, Alaina. Now, I'm hearing another one is about to get hitched? Oh hell.
"You don't have to answer that, love. It's okay. Just thought I'd tell you incase Evan comes to you anytime soon to ask for her hand in marriage." She said softly.
"Man... Stevie better not even think about getting married anytime soon. My heart just might explode then." I joked.
We continued to chitchat and eat, enjoying each others company. We chilled the rest of the night before heading off to bed.
A/N: Ouuu , what y'all think about this chapter? It got pretty messy. ๐คญโ๏ธ๐ Anyways, I hoped y'all liked it! - ๐ค
