Chapter 10:

HEY GUYS IM SO SO SO SO SORRY I KNOW ITS BEEN LIKE A MONTH SINCE I UPDATED A CHAPTER BUT FORGIVE ME. I HAD TONS OF WORK IN HIGH SCHOOL AND THIS TEACHER WANTED TO BE A B**H BUT ANYWAYS HERES THE CHAPTER AND ENJOY!!

Marina's POV

I swear Joshua was so slow at driving, like he was going twenty miles per hour. Like what the hell??! My grandma could drive faster than him. But anyways back to business, surprisingly we were in illionis but I think we could have gotten faster if Joshua wasn't so slow driving!

"I'm sorry Josh, but can you like go a little tiny bit FASTER!!!" I shouted loudly at him.

"Well yelling isn't going to help and BTW I got no license so you better keep yourself patient cause I ain't want no cop chasing us" He said with a mini attitude.

"Wow, a seventeen year old still doesn't have his license.... What a shame" I said sitting back at my seat.

"Do you have a license, Marina?" Anabeth snapped.

I looked over her with my eyes wide open,"No do you?!"

"No I dont so its better for you to shut up cause Joshua is trying his best to get to California" She said looking back at her map.

"Yeah at twenty five miles per hour" I said sarcastically.

"Like I said I'm trying-" But I cut him off.

"Dude, the other cars are going ten times faster and are literally honking at you for being so slow" I said annoyed.

"Why don't you just shut up and be patient cause I'm getting really tired of your bickering" Joshua said seriously.

"Excuse me?! who the hell you think you are to talk to me like that?" I said screamed out loud.

"I'm Joshua Rivera, son of Apollo seventeen years old, senior in highschool half Puerto Rican half Greek" He said cooly.

"Thank you for telling me your biography Mr. Know it all" I said rolling my eyes.

"Can ya both shut the hell up already?! My Gods every time you two argue for everything like dead ass... why dont ya get married already? Like for real! You guys are acting so immature for every single little thing" Annabeth shouted angrily.

Joshua and I stood quiet when Annabeth said that. As much as I wanted to say something back, I guess that will make her even more mad than usual.

It's been an hour and a half and Annabeth is knocked out, leaving me and Joshua awake and bored. I didn't knew what else to do so I just said,"I'm sorry"

Joshua looked at me through the mirror and said,"For what?"

"For insulting you.... I didn't meant to do that" I said very low.

"It's ok... I'm actually used to it already" He said with a crooked smile.

"What do you mean used to it?" I asked

I saw Joshua's blue eyes glistened in the mirror and he said, "Throughout my whole life I've been abused, bullied, named.... it was a never ending cycle. Until I found out I was a demigod and found Camp Ultimate..... that saved my life, I obviously changed my attitude from negative to positive.... you know... so basically when someone just say something smart I eather fight or ignore it"

A tear rolled down my eye and said, "Josh... I didn't knew.... if only I did I wouln-"

"Drop it, its ok like I said I'm us-" but I cut him off.

"Of course I'm not going to drop it.... all this time I was being mean and cruel to you but now that I've noticed what you been through just makes me feel bad" I said.

"Marina, you dont have too... I'm already a new person... I just needed someone to talk to to get it out of my chest, you know?" He said with a smile.

"I really appreciate that you told me, Josh" I said with a sniff.

"Of course, your the only one I trust" He said with a small laugh.

"And how do you trust me so dearly?" I said folding my arms.

"Because I love you, Marina"

I was speechless at what he said, but then again I wasn't. I mean he kissed me back in the forest so I kind of had the idea that he likes me. But him saying that he loves me sent chills through my body.

"Joshua....." I said trying to find the right words.

Like I know, I should tell him I love him too. But I'm just not sure, I dont think this is the right time to fall in love. Especially when I'm doing this huge mission.

"It's alright, I get it" He said looking away from the mirror.

"Josh, its not that I dont like you or anything... its just that its not the right time, like maybe once we finish this whole quest, I guess..." I said trailing off.

"Guess what?" He said looking back

"I guess we could try going out" I said with a tight smile.

"You mean as boyfriend and girlfriend?" He said

"No shit, Joshua" I said pursing my lips.

"Hey, sorry I'm type slow you know" He said laughing.

"I can see that haha" I said

"Well, you know th-"

"JOSHUA WATCH OUT!!!!" I shrieked loudly.

Joshua pressed the break so hard that I literally jumped out of my seat to the front. Luckily, Anabeth grabbed me in time and I swear that if she didnt I would have flew out of this car.

"What the hell, Marina?!!" Joshua said angrily.

"Look, isnt that this Jason guy?" I said pointing at the boy with sandy blond hair, purple shirt, black slim jeans, and converse.

Anabeth looked closely and opened her window yelling, "Jason! its us! Anabeth, Marina and Joshua!"

Jason looked at us for a second and ran up to us, opening the back door, sitting right next to me.

"Hey" He said panting.

"Heeyy" I said awckwardly.

"Why are you so sweaty?" Anabeth said with a grimace.

"I was fighting this big Giant in the forest" He said taking the sweat off from his forehead.

"Wow, it seem like it was a big giant then" I said nodding.

"Yes, it really was" He said nodding at me back.

"Can I drive now?" Joshua said joining in the convo.

"Go ahead" Anabeth said.

As Joshua kept driving, I went and said, "Wait.... did you guys notice anything?"

"What?" The three of them said in unision.

"Hellooooo! A camper will appear in your way, that means that Jason is part of the prophecy too!" I said happily.

"Ok.... dont get to hype cause we got half of the prophecy solved.... we still need to save Percy and all" Anabeth said.

I looked at Anabeth with a what the fuck look, but then again she's right. I cant get to happy for solving a quarter of the prophecy, especially since we barely started the quest.

"She's right though.... but anyway, let's keep going, I aint want no monster coming here and what not" Jason said

Percy's POV

"This is sooo boring, my Gods... can we at least get a TV here or something?" I shouted loudly to Annelis.

"Awwww, what happened the big boy want a TV???" She said mimicking a little girls voice.

"Yes I do...thats the least that you can do" I said folding my arms.

"Well, to bad..... the only good show that your going to see is your sister fighting here.... and of course the thrilling plans that sent chills down my spine" She said with a deep smile.

"Wow, this whole being a bad girl thing has really gone to your head" Piper said nodding.

"Oh, shut up your ju-"

"Besides your going to die at the end anyways" Piper continued.

"I said shut up!!!!" She shouted loudly.

"Someone is going nuuuutttsss" Leo said joining in the conversation.

You could tell that Annelis was getting extremely agrivated, which I thought was a lot of fun. I mean like we cant use our powers, so I guess it will be better to just say harsh words.

"Shut the HELL up!!!!!!!" Annelis said storming up to our cage.

"No Leo she's not nuts... she's retarted and on top of that she's pussy" Piper said with a crooked smile.

"How am I a pussy, Barbie bitch?" Annelis snarled.

"Well, your acting all big and tuff because were locked with no power, so that makes you a big..... Puuuusssyyyy" Piper said emphazising the last word.

"No I'm not a pussy, I could beat you up right now" She said with a crooked smile.

"How 'bout you open the cage and we'll see who wins" Piper said raising her right eyebrow

"Do I look stupid to you?" Annelis said laughing.

"Yes" Me, Piper and Leo said in unision.

"Ugh, fuck all three of you.. I'm not going to waste my time" She said turning around.

"Is that you are wasting your time" I said holding my hands on the bars.

"How am I wasting my time, Percy Jackson!? huh?! how?!" She shouted loudly.

"Being here.... there's no need to be here anyway.... in the end Medea is going to betray you anyways" I said

"No she's not.... she's protecting me......" Annelis said

"No she's not!!! Annelis, open your eyes!!" I said loudly.

"I did open my eyes, Percy!!! I did... I know what the fuck she truly is..... its just...." She said trailing off.

"Just what?" I said raising my eyebrow.

"She has my mom......." Annelis said with tears streaming down her cheek.

Marina's POV

"O my Gods.... I am so hungry right now" I said holding my stomach.

"I told you to save your food for later... but no, you never want to listen to me" Anabeth said scowling at me.

"Well, sorry I was hungry at that time too... can we please stop somewhere" I whined.

"I'm kind of hungry too" Jason said pitching in.

"So am I" Joshua grinned.

"You see? c'mon I know your hungry too!" I said with a smile.

"Ugh..... fine" Anabeth said in defeat.

"Joshua stop in that Burger King right there" I said pointing at the restaurant.

"But I hate Burger King" He whined.

"I dont care... food is food so go!!!" I said beside him.

Joshua murmured something that I couldnt hear but I ignored him, I dont want to argue with this kid again.

When we finally got there, Joshua and Jason sat at the play area, while me and Anabeth ordered our food.

"Welcome to Burger King, how may I help you?" A middle aged woman with dark black hair and brown eyes said with a smile.

"Um, Hi can I get three of the number six, two of the number 4, large fries and the four piece chicken nuggets" I said looking up at the menu.

"To drink?" She said as she was marking our order on her screen.

"What you want to drink?" I asked Anabeth.

"I dont know, water maybe?" She said shrugging.

"I know what you guys should have" The woman said with a smile.

"What?" Me and Anabeth said in unision.

"A taste of my fury!!!" She said as her voice got deeper.

"OH Gods... not another monster" I said annoyed.

The woman's body started shapeshifting into the body of a lion.. but her head stood the same. She looked so hidieous that thank Gods I didnt came out like her. I rapidly uncapped Victorious and Anabeth did the same with her dagger.

The citizens already ran out of Burger King and in a matter of seconds Joshua and Jason joined us.

"Its a Sphinx, head of a woman, body of a lion" Anabeth said pointing her dagger at the Sphinx.

"Smart girl... but that its not going to get you nowhere... no offense" She said pouncing to the other side.

Surprisingly this Burger King was one of the biggest I've seen in my life... So I guess it gives her the advantage to move where ever she wants.

"Your wrong... Knowing a lot can give me advantages... such as kicking your butt easily" Anabeth said throwing her dagger at the Sphinx.

The Sphinx dodged the attack and pounced right in front of me. I rapidly swung my sword at her leg, but pounced to the other side.

"She's to fast!" I shouted to Anabeth.

"Ugh, if I could just manage to make her still....." I said trailing off.

"How about you use your water powers on this thing and Jason uses his lightning powers to electrecute this bitch!!!" Joshua said rapidly, shooting an arrow at the Sphinx wich she totally dodged.

"Ok Jason... you ready?" I shouted at him.

"Ready" He said with his mini lightning bolt on his hand

"Ok.... good" I said.

I concentrated as hard as I could and extended my hands to the air, swinging it softly just like the waterbender in the avatar. And in a matter of seconds, I open my eyes and saw water swawing around me.

As I was levitating the water I looked at Jason and said, "When I throw this water at her, you throw your lightning bolt... got it?"

"Yes, yes... just do it!!!" He shouted

"What are you trying to do?!! do you really thing you could face the fu-" But it was to late for her to finish her sentence. The water was already blocking her whole body, making her stuck in a big giant bubble. Jason threw the lightning bolt at her, shocking the Sphinx to death.

The Sphinx finally turned into gold dust. I let the water drop to the floor and felt this great releif on me.

"We did it" I said happily.

"Yes.... we did" He said

"Well.... how about we go now, before the cops and the others get here" Anabeth said as she picked up her dagger.

"Yes we really do though, I dont want the cops chasing me for murder" I said jokingly.

"Just shut up, Marina" She said laughing.

HEY GUYS, AGAIN SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG, I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT AND HEY ITS NOT MY FAULT I HAVE SCHOOL AND THIS YEAR IS A WHOLE LOT HARDER SINCE IM TAKING AP CLASSES BUT ANYWAYS I HOPED YOU ENOJOYED THIS CHAPTER...
