Chapter 3

"wait so what happened" Stephanie asked in complete shock as we got ready for class. I kinda told her that Jefnier came over last night while she was asleep.

"He just told me he missed me and wanted to talk" I told her as I fixed my bed. I surprisingly got up early enough to do it.

"So are you going to talk to him"she asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah I want to talk to him and also tell him that I want him to stay away to just forget about me" I told her and she looked at me like I was insane.

"How the fuck is he suppose to forget his best friend for 17 years slash his ex girlfriend that's like asking for the impossible"she said to me like I was an idiot.

"Well he has to try" I told her stubbornly.

"Have you told brad about himComing over "she asked me and I shook my head no. "Are you telling him" she asked me again.

"Yeah I'm going to tell him when we meet up right now before class" I told her and she nodded. "I know he's going to be a little mad and even more mad when I tell him I'm meeting up with him to talk but it has to be done" I said and she nodded agreeing with me. Was we were both ready for class we left our dorm.

"I'll see you in class I'm meeting brad at the coffee shop" I told her and she nodded. I walked towards the little coffee shop at the corner were my boyfriend and I usually meet. This is actually where we met the first time and he approached me.

"Hi babe"I heard him say and he pulled me in for a kiss.

"Hi" I said with a smile on my face and he handed me a cup of coffee.

"I ordered for you" he said with a smile on his face and i kissed his cheek.

"Thank you" I told him. We sat down at a table by the window and I took a deep breath. "I have to talk to you about something but please don't get mad okay" I said nervously and he looked at me a little confused.

"Okay I'm a little worried on where this is going" he said with a frown on his face.

"No it's nothing about us I promise" I told him and he let out a breath of relief. "So last night while I was getting ready for bed somebody knocked on my door and I opened it.. it was Jefnier"I told him and I didn't want to look at him because I was worried on how he would react.

"As in your ex boyfriend and childhood best friend" he said and a little annoyed and I nodded.

"Yeah I honestly didn't know how he found me anything he just showed up" I told him and he just stayed quiet. "That's not the only thing I want to tell you" I told him quietly.

"He wants to meet up to talk like just talk he knows I'm with you and everything" I said quickly and his head shot up quickly.

"Did you say yes"he asked me annoyed.

"No not really but I didn't say no. I didn't want to agree on anything until I told you and you were okay with it. The only reason I want to meet up with him is to tell him to just forget about me" I told him and he nodded.

"Fine. If you want to meet up with him to just tell him that I'm fine with it"he said and he didn't look mad or anything so that's a relief. "I know you won't do this and I don't have to tell you this but please don't do anything stupid"he said and I nodded and leaned in and kissed him.

"Of course I won't" I reassured him and I noticed he relaxed a little. I checked them time on my phone and I noticed that I have to head to class already . "I have to go to class already and so do you so let's go" I said pulling him up and he groaned. We walked out of the coffee shop hand in hand.

"Are you still coming to my practice today"he asked me and I nodded. He cheered which made me smile. "Okay well then I'll see you there"he said and gave me a kiss.

"Bye"I told him as he walked away and I walked into my class. I looked for Stephanie and she was sitting in our usual spot. I walked over and sat down next to her.

"How did he take it" Stephanie asked me. I'm guessing she's talking about brad.

"He was surprisingly fine with it because I reassured him" i told her and she nodded. Before I class started I quickly unblocked jefniers phone number. I received a message about 2 minutes after.

Jefnier: thank you for agreeing to talk with me. When do you want to talk today?

Me: At around 8 if you can

Jefnier:Yeah sure we can get dinner or something. I'll pick you up.

Me:ok

"Okay so I'm meeting with him tonight and we are going to get dinner"I told her as the professor started the lecture. The rest of the the lecture was pretty uneventful. We didn't really talk during class because we both actually paid attention.

"Okay class that's it for today you guys can leave" the professor said and everybody began to pack up.

"We have to get ready for our sorority informational meeting" I told Stephanie and she nodded. We have 3 hours to get ready which is more than enough. In this meeting we basically find out when we move in and stuff which starts next semester aka spring.

"Yeah we have to wear white I think"she said and I nodded. It's like a tradition I think. Good thing we both bought our dresses the other day.

——————————- We were currently in the sorority meeting and they were going over rules and stuff. Which was pretty boring but important if you don't want to get kicked out halfway in.

"Okay so that it is it ladies. I'll see you guys soon" the sorority president said her name was Emma by the way. All the girls got up from their chairs and started walking out of the house. But they handed us our shirts first. We are suppose to take a picture as a group something next week to post it online.

"Holy shit that was a lot" I told Stephanie and she nodded agreeing.

"I know like the rules are a bit out there. The one about not being able to post pictures with alcohol around us and stuff" Stephanie said in shock but I already knew that. I read about it online on how sorority girls are not suppose to post things like that because they want to keep a good image for the school.

"You are going to have to delete most of your pictures" I said to her and she rolled her eyes. "I have to go I'm going to Brads football practice do you want to come" I said to her and she shook her head.

"Nah I'm going to the dorm to change and go eat something because I am starving" she said and I let out a light laugh and said bye. I walked towards the stadium which was literally across the street.

I walked inside the stadium and sat down on one of the bleachers the closest ones to the fields. I saw their coach yelling at them as they passed the football around. I guess he noticed I was here because he turned around and looked at me.

"Hello Ailinn "he said with a smile on his face.

"Hey coach"I said nicely. He is super nice to me but an ass to the players when they are practicing . "How are they doing" I asked him.

"Eh they are alright but if JACK DOESNT PULL IT TOGETHER WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS ALL OVER AGAIN" coach yelled at jack and he turned back around to me.

"Brad is in the bathroom right now that's why he isn't on the field" he said and I nodded. Just as he said that brad walked out of the locker room . He looked at coach and then he noticed me. He ran to me with a big smile on his face. I walked to edge of the bleachers and he jumped up.

"You came" he said and I nodded. I leaned in and kissed him on the lips.

"Of course I did I promised you" I told him and he was about to say something else but coach yelled at him.

"Brad there is a time and place when you can talk to your girlfriend and right now is not it now get on the field" coach said and brad rolled his eyes but followed the order. "Sorry ailinn but I got to be on his ass" coach said to me and I just nodded understanding. If Brad wants to be in the NFL he better get use to all of this. I checked the time and it was already seven thirty meaning I had no time to change for dinner with jef.

Me:Pick me up at the school stadium.. I'm not in the dorm

Jefnier:okay I'll be there in 10

"Hey coach can I tell Brad something real quick I'm about to leave" I say to him and he nodded. He called Brad over and signaled towards me .

"What's up baby" brad asked me a bit confused.

"I'm going to leave I forgot that I was meeting Jefnier right now." I told him and he frowned a little but nodded. I leaned in and kissed him. "I'll see you later okay" I tell him.

"Text me " he said as I walked away and I nodded. I walked out of the stadium and I saw a car waiting. I could tell it was Jefnier right away because he had the window down. I walked towards the car and I opened the door and got in.

"Hey" he said and I greeted him back. "So I got us a table at this Italian restaurant" he said and I nodded.

"I really don't want this to end up in an argument and leave off even worse" I tell him and it shocked him a little.

"I don't plan on arguing with you. I just want to talk to you" he said giving me a weak smile. He pulled up for the restaurant and we both got off. I was really fucking nervous I'm not going to lie because I'm afraid about whatever he wants to talk to me about. The waiter sat us on our table and we ordered our drinks..

"Okay talk" I said to him.

"Okay first of all I want to apologize again for being a fucking asshole" he said and I nodded. "I know that you want to know why I did it and it's honestly a stupid ass reason and I'm not going to lie and deny that this fame stuff got in my head because it did" he said sincerely and I just nodded so he can keep going.

"The girl that I was unfaithful with followed me from my studio to the apartment and I honestly don't know how she found me but that's not the point. She came up to my room and I told her to leave and she was about to but these guys I was hanging out which I don't anymore saw her and invited her in even though I said no" he said. "So she ignored me and came inside and ignored her that was when I started ignoring you because she was being obnoxious and I was afraid you would hear and think wrong and that happened for a couple of days until the day you came" he said and he was looking at me dead in the eye. I still haven't said anything I wanted him to continue.

"That day was my off day but I told Myke it wasn't because I was doing stupid shit with does guys. I ended up drinking and I did acid and coke which is when she took advantage and seduced me and I am not saying it's an excuse but I was not all there until you showed up and the high went away" he said looking at me dead in the eye. I honestly didn't know what to say or what he wanted me to say.

"I've forgiven you Jefnier and I did along time ago" I told him softly and I noticed he relaxed. "But I don't know what you want me to say. I can't say that I want to get back together because i honestly would be lying. I'm in a happy relationship right now and no being on drugs is not an excuse for cheating on me" I told him and he frowned a little.

"I understand ailinn but I at least want us to go back to being friends at least" he said with sad look on his face. I reached my hand out to him..

"Okay we can be friends" I told him and he shook my hand and smiled.  Just as he was about to say something they brought us our food that we ordered.

"What happened to does guys that were offering you drugs and stuff" I asked him curious.

"That night I ended up kicking them out and I stopped talking to them. I told Myke what happened and what I did and he punched me in the face" he said and I let out a light laugh.

"You deserved  it" I said and he nodded. I guess we are back to being friends but it's going to be difficult because I think I still love him.
