Reunited and at Peace

They arrive back in John's house, but it looked empty. The four monsters look around and Tux checks the kid's bedroom, but no one was in there until he heard noise from John's bedroom and he investigates. He peeks through to see the four children laying with John, tears falling down their faces and he holds them close to him, doing his best to give them comfort, especially Benjamin. 

Tux takes a deep breath and he slowly opens the door and Hopp stops him, whispering, "What are you doing? Are you crazy?" Tux sighs, "It's going to take a while for John to get used to it. But we have to let them know we're alive." He carefully opens the door and walks in and Benjamin lifts his head, "TUX!" He scrambles off the bed and hugs the monster cat tight, and Esther, Isaac and Molly saw Mr. Hopp, Mr. Stripes and Miss Bo and hugged them as well.

John gets out of bed and walks to the monster cat, "So....you're the one who was protecting my nephew?....And the one who killed my brother in law?..." Tux looks down, "I'm sorry for my actions....I was trying to protect Benjamin from him, he was hurting him and I-" He feels John pet his head and looks up at him. John wipes his tears from his face, smiling at the monster cat, "That man....he hurt everyone....the entire family, both sides....he even wished death on my sister...or also known as-"

"Benjamin's mother..." Tux looks at Benjamin and hugs him tight, "Wow...." Miss Bo lifts her head, "What kind of person hurts their family and wishes death on their spouse?" John sits down, "Benjamin's mother had breast cancer....and it was hard on everyone because she was only 29...and when she got the diagnosis....he just said right to her face, 'I hope you suffer and die'....and our father got angry and punched him so hard in the jaw, some of his teeth fell out."

Tux holds Benjamin close, "Now I have no regret killing that bastard.... I'm just happy that Benjamin was okay and still alive that night." Benjamin touches Tux's cheek and he purrs, and he touches matted and dirty fur. John chuckles, "Let's get you guys cleaned up. Um....how do you guys get clean anyway?" Mr. Hopp shrugs and Tux points at John, "Just don't put me in the damn washer. The orphanage got me in there and I almost vomited when it reached the spin cycle." 

John laughs and smiles, "Noted. I'm just happy to be reunited with my family and that we're all together again." Benjamin climbs onto Tux's back and Tux carries him, smiling. Later that night, after getting all cleaned up and fixed, Tux lays on the children's bed, stretching and then gets jumped onto by Benjamin, the two of them laughing. Benjamin giggles and hugs the monster cat tight, "I love you Tux....you're my best friend." Tux purrs, wrapping his tail around the boy, "I love you too Benjamin."
