Settling In

The car stopped at a restaurant and Benjamin looks out the window, "What are we doing here?" John chuckles, "Just getting something to eat and stretch our legs a bit." The children get out the car and follow John inside and they look around. Esther looks up at John, "What's the U.S. like?" John looks at her, "Well, I don't know if you and your friends want to go with us, I thought maybe-" "But we would love to see what it's like," exclaimed Molly. Isaac nods, "Yeah, Benjamin told us a lot about it. We would really love to see." 

John smiles and looks at Benjamin and he looks at the, "So you guys do wanna come to the U.S.?" The three of them nod and Benjamin smiles and John ruffles his nephew's hair, "Well, I have to find the next airplane back, and we have to find a place to stay until then. Let's go eat okay?" They all nod and go inside, having to leave their plushies behind. After they went inside, Tux turns into his monster form and looks out the window, "Wow, I can't believe it. We're going home." 

He gets grabbed by his bowtie and pulled down, looking at Mr. Hopp. Mr. Hopp shakes him a bit, "What are you doing? We could get caught like this." Tux chuckles, gently pushing the rabbit back from him, "Relax, we're fine. Don't get your ears in a knot." He boops the rabbit's nose, Mr. Hopp growling at him, "Why I outta-" He gets shushed by the cat, watching him peek through the window.

He smiles as he sees Benjamin sitting with John and his friends, all of them eating food and sighs, "I'm surprised about his reaction when he found out that I was the one who did it...." He sighs, laying on the car floor and Mr. Hopp looks at him, "Look, I don't know what goes on in the U.S. but I'm just glad that we don't have to look at the Entity in the face. If it wasn't for Benjamin, we all would've been dead." Tux nods and he curls in a ball, "That was my first time experiencing with death....it was....all I could see was endless darkness...."

Mr. Hopp looks away from him, his ears drooping, "Yeah...everything being under his control is like endless darkness."  After waiting another while, the door opens and Tux and Mr. Hopp quickly turn back into their plush forms and everyone climbs in. John drives them all to a nice motel, much better than the one Benjamin stayed in with his father, and they find a room and settle in. Benjamin hugs Tux and jumps onto the bed, laying down, "This feels so much better." John smiles and he hugs his nephew tight, his eyes watering, "I was so worried about you...I thought I would never see you again..."

Benjamin buries his face in his uncle's shoulder, crying, "I missed you too...I was scared you guys forgot about me." John makes Benjamin look at him, "Benjamin I would never, finding you was the only thing on my mind. I'm so sorry it took so long." He smiles at his nephew and touches their foreheads together, and they all settle in for the night while John stays up, looking for flights back to the United States.
