A Deal

That night, Tux carefully climbs out of bed while Benjamin was asleep and he sneaks into the hallway and goes into the library. He looks at his claws and sighs, "He doesn't know it was me...I don't know how he would react if he ever finds out... he'll probably never look at me the same way again..." Tux paces back and forth, his mind wandering, "I almost killed someone right in front of him..." He grips his ears, "What am I gonna do?" He begins to leave when something grabs him and pulls him behind a bookshelf and he hisses, "Hey what's the big d-mmph!" His mouth gets covered and he looks up to see Mr. Hopp standing before him, "Quiet cat. You'll get us caught. 

Tux pushes him away, "What do you want? What did I do this time?" He tries to leave but Mr. Hopp pins Tux against the wall, and grips his shoulders, "I'm not here to nag at you. I just want to talk." Tux struggles and Mr. Hopp keeps the monster cat pinned, his hands now on his neck and he makes sure Tux can't leave, "I'm not asking, kitty." Tux moves his head away, still looking at the rabbit, "Okay okay shit, we'll talk, but do you have to pin me like this? What if someone comes in and sees us? And I have a name you know." Mr. Hopp lets him go and Tux looks up at him.

He fixes his skirt and mumbles, "So what do you wanna talk to me about?" "I want to make a deal with you." Tux looks at Mr. Hopp as if he was crazy, "Excuse me?" The rabbit looks at him, "Did I stutter? I said I want to make a deal with you." Tux hesitates and he stays quiet for a while until Mr. Hopp speaks again, "We won't hurt Benjamin if you don't interfere with the wrong side." Tux looks at him, "The wrong side?" He backs away a bit as Mr. Hopp goes to him, "The Entity. He doesn't know about you, unless you do something stupid. Lord knows what he'll do to you or Benjamin if he finds out." Tux looks down, just the thought of losing Benjamin scares him and he looks back up at the rabbit.

"Fine, I'll keep my side. And I want to know if you'll keep yours." Mr. Hopp growls at him, "You have my word, alright? That's why it's called a deal. I keep my side of the bargain if you keep yours." Tux sighs and holds out his hand for Mr. Hopp to shake, "It's a deal." Hopp shakes the cats hand and Tux turns to leave and stops when Mr. Hopp says one more thing, "I see why you care about that kid so much....don't fuck it up." Tux rolls his eyes, "I'm trying my best not to." He gets back to the children's room quietly and sneaks back into Benjamin's bed and turns back into his plush form and snuggles close. 

He couldn't stop thinking about what Hopp said, "I can't let this entity guy hurt Benjamin or even try to.....the kid's already been through enough....I can't fuck it up this time." He falls asleep and he growls softly as his mind continues to overthink and question about everything.
