Chapter 30

It was now March as the cold weather is now turning warmer, students were now wearing less heavy clothes, not having to wear thick scarfs around their necks or multiple layers of clothes anymore.

Though, right now, Y/N couldn't really feel the weather as she was practically underground, the only thing close to the feeling of temperature was the heat coming from the burner sitting under her cauldron as she slowly stirred it.

Once again, they were working on antidotes, it seemed that their syllabus this year was mainly focusing on antidotes to counter specific charms. Snape seemed to be having the time of his life, deducting points from every student that weren't Slytherins for any sort of reason you could think of.

Obviously, Snape despised Y/N and Harry, it was obvious ever since first year, though the Ravenclaw always found it amusing when she would brew a perfect potion, the look on Snape's face would always satisfy her.

Surprisingly, despite having her Professor completely hate her guts, potions was one of her best subjects , aside from D.A.D.A of course, which she always scored an Outstanding on. Though, she'd always at least get an Exceeds Expectation on Potions, occasionally she would score an Outstanding but it hadn't happened in a while, mostly due to the fact of her Professor.

She somewhat enjoyed making potions, except for the part where Snape would constantly be staring down their throats or the part where the Slytherins would snicker at them for who knows what.

"Harry, you're cutting your ginger roots wrong." Y/N pointed out in a hushed tone, earning a quizzical look from the raven-haired boy, letting out a soft snicker she gestured the proper cutting motion towards Harry, "Do it like this."

Harry's eyebrows raised as he studied the Ravenclaw's motion before adjusting his grip around his knife and continued to chop his ginger roots in the correct form shown by the Ravenclaw.

A proud smile curled up the Ravenclaw lips before she glanced over to Hermione's cauldron beside her, causing her smile to falter into a frown as she observed the overburnt antidote solution in the cauldron.

She glanced over to the bushy-haired girl, eyebrows furrowing deeper together as she noticed her girlfriend scowling towards a copy of the Daily Prophet in her hands, she took a short glance at Snape who was busy talking to another student, quickly she leaned to her side, "What's going on, you're antidote's overcooking."

Though, she was earned a scoff from the bushy-haired girl as she slammed the piece of parchment down onto an empty chair beside her, "She's done it again!" she snapped hushedly as the Ravenclaw only fell deeper into puzzlement.

Taking another short glance at Snape before slowly taking the Daily Prophet from the chair, hiding it underneath the table as she began to scan through it,

'Y/N Y/L/N FAKE LOVE?!'

Immediately, her lips pursed together, knowing that this article must've been written by none other than Rita Skeeter, how lovely.

"What the fuck is this." Y/N scoffed irritatedly, not noticing even her own antidote was now overcooking as she slammed the Prophet back onto the empty seat, "Didn't we warn them enough?"

The Ravenclaw hadn't realise what she had just said as she irritatedly went back to her antidote, quickly turning the burner off, oblivious to the questioning look from Hermione, "Warn who about what?"

Instantly, the Ravenclaw's eyes widened, recalling that only she and Harry knew what had happened that night near the Slytherin Common Room, she exchanged a short glance with the raven-haired boy before turning to Hermione with a sheepish grin, "Uh..nothing...no one."

Though, Hermione could see right through her lie as her eyes squinted towards the Ravenclaw, "Y/N." she called sternly as the Ravenclaw gulped before nervously rubbing her head, "It's nothing, me and Harry just had a talk with Pansy a while back. That's all." she stated nonchalantly, though the bushy-haired girl didn't seemed convinced.

"Mind elaborating?" she questioned as she flickered her gaze between the raven-haired boy and the RAvenclaw who both had their attention on their antidotes, not wanting to respond to the bushy-haired girl as she let out a huff, "If you two don't start explaining, I'll-"

"Fascinating undoubtedfully your social life is, Miss Granger." an icy cold voice sounded beside them, "I must ask you not to discuss it in my class. Ten points from Gryffindor. Ten points from Ravenclaw." Snape seethed to which the Ravenclaw rolled her eyes at before she continued to work on her antidote.

Though, when she took a side glance to the side she felt her body tense up, quickly moving her body so that it could cover the Daily Prophet's view from the Professor, "And what seems to be making you so tense, Y/L/N?" Snape questioned lowly as the Ravenclaw turned to the Professor, forcing out a polite smile as she shook her head.

"Nothing, just an itch," the Ravenclaw beamed as the Professor eyed her skeptically before clicking his tongue, "Itch or not, perhaps next time you should learn to get the timing right to prevent an overburnt antidote. Another ten points from Ravenclaw!"

As Snape left the group's table, an irritated huff immediately escaped the Ravenclaw's lip with a roll of her eyes, though soft snickering across the classroom seemed to have caught her attention.

Instantly a scowl formed on her face, without realising the grip around her stirring stick tightened as her jaw clenched, though, Pansy didn't seem to bother as she only smirked smugly at the Ravenclaw, sending her a playful wink to which only enraged Y/N more.

"Y/N?"

The Ravenclaw immediately softened her expression before turning back to the bushy-haired girl, acting as if nothing had happened as she let out a hum, though Hermione didn't seem to buy it as she held a skeptical look, "What did you and Pansy talk about?"

The Ravenclaw averted her gaze from the bushy-haired girl as she casually went back to her cauldron, adding a few ingredients before responding with a shrug, "I told you, we just talked."

The bushy-haired girl sighed in response before she reluctantly went back to her antidote, throughout class she would steal a few glances at her girlfriend, she needed more context, she knew, there was more context.

"Y/N, I need more context." Hermione stated sternly as they were now reunited with the rest of their group, trailing behind Hagrid in the Forest, Hagrid wanted to catch up with the group, that's why he had asked them to follow him for a walk through the Forest.

Hermione had been bugging the Ravenclaw continuously to let her in more context about her 'conversation' with Pansy, she didn't know how to put it to words, she couldn't just say, 'Oh I threatened Pansy and her friends to never talk about you or ever come near you.', she'd sound like a psychopath.

"We just had a talk about the whole drama with my dream and Angelique. That's all." she stated nonchalantly with a shrug, earning yet another skeptical look from the latter as the Ravenclaw sighed, "Let's talk about this another time, okay?"

A smile curled up her lips as she earned a hesitant nod from the bushy-haired girl, she took a short glance back to the front, noticing the raven-haired boy walking off alone in the distance ahead, her eyebrows furrowed together as her curiosity began to rise.

She turned to her girlfriend and sent her a warm smile, "I'll be right back." she beamed before she skipped past Ron, Caleb, Aidan and Hagrid and caught up with the raven-haired boy's side.

"Hey." Y/N sounded playfully, earning a soft chuckle from the raven-haired boy, "Hi, Y/N." he responded as they were now walking alone in the forest, Hagrid and the others were in a distance behind them as their voices only could be heard.

"I remember when I firs' met yeh all. Bigges' bunch o' misfits I e'er seen. I suppose yeh reminded me o' me a bit." the distant voice of Hagrid could be heard, "Now look at us all, four years on."

"We're still a bunch of misfits." Ron responded earning as a few snickers sounded from the others, including Hagrid's, "Sure. But we got each other, don' we? And we got Harry and Y/N!" Hagrid purposefully loudened his voice as he called out to the duo in the distance, "Soon to be the youngest Triwizard Champion there's e'er been!"

Y/N chuckled at the sound of her friends' cheerful voices as the gentle breeze brushed against both of them, the deeper they walked through the Forest.

Though, their smiles quickly faltered as a sudden stinging pain emerged from their scars, both of them wincing as Y/N clutched onto her lower abdomen while Harry clutched onto his forehead.

The glanced out through the trees ahead, noticing the reddening sky beginning to shimmer like blood. The Ravenclaw dropped her gaze, her eyebrows furrowing together as she could catch something dark lying in the bush.

She gave Harry a nudge to his side and pointed towards it, both of them exchanging a curious glance before slowly motioning closer to it, the stinging sensation across their scars increasing with each step.

Y/N thought it looked like a trunk of a fallen tree or a pile of wood. Though, once it came clear in sight, both of their eyes widened in shock as they stood there frozen.

It was a dead body. Not a body of a random stranger, but the body of Barty Crouch.

The Ravenclaw tried to speak, though she was too shocked in the moment to do anything as the sound of distant giggles neared them, "What're you two standing there for?" Caleb questioned curiously as he and the rest of the group curiously approached the two.

Instantly, their eyes shot wide open, gasps emitted from Hermione and Lizzy, "I-Is he...?" Lizzy spluttered out as she turned towards Hagrid who seemed to be in the same shocked state.

"All of yeh get back to 'he castle now, I'll 'andle this."

♗♗♗

"You don't think it was him do you?" Aidan fretted as the group were now in the Gryffindor common room, all of them were seated on the sofas in front of the fireplace all of them except two.

Y/N and Harry who were more focused on looking out of the window, where deep in the distance, a group of teachers could be seen standing in a circle at the site of where they had found Crouch's body.

The Ravenclaw turned around and glanced over to the burning fireplace, before glancing back at the window, once again the same stinging sensation from her scar emerged, her face scrunching up from the pain as her hand motioned to soothe over the scar.

It seemed to her that she wasn't the only one as Harry was just like her, rubbing his fingers over his scar, both of them in a somewhat trance like as they were oblivious to the sound of subtle footsteps approaching behind them.

It was when Y/N felt an arm rub over her back comfortingly only she seemed to notice someone behind her as she looked over her shoulder to be met with the frowned expression spread across the bushy-haired girl's face, "It's hurting again, isn't it?"

Though, neither Y/N or Harry responded as they exchanged a short knowing glance before averting their gazes from the bushy-haired girl, earning a sigh from her, crossing her arms she sent the duo a pointed look, "You both know what you have to do."
