Chapter 34 -- I'm Only Me When I'm With You

1 week later

Lola’s P.O.V.

“Don’t do it Zayn. It will be one of the biggest mistakes of your life.” I said, my breathing increasing.

“I’m so sorry baby. I hope you will be able to forgive me one day.” he said. I stared at him with hurt in my eyes, as I felt a nerf bullet hit my forehead.

"You just made the worst mistake of your life! Prepare to be terminated!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. I looked from the corner of my eye and saw Harry running so I took off after him. Zayn started chasing after me and Harry turned around and ran back towards me and then took my hand when I caught up to him.

“You cheaters! I will find you and hunt you down!” I heard Zayn screaming as Harry continued pulling me down the hallway. The boys were having a concert today in L.A so we decided to have a nerf gun war in the arena before it started.

Harry pulled me into a side room and I was welcomed with Liam’s smiling face.

“Thanks for saving me back there.” I laughed while trying to catch my breath.

“No problem babe.” Harry laughed.

“Alright so whats our plan?” I asked.

“Well we know where our opponents are hiding which is a good start. Niall is hiding behind the instruments, Louis is under the food table, and we know Zayn is back there somewhere, so we should be able to take them out. Liam you go for Niall, Lola you go for Louis, and I’ll get Zayn.” Harry instructed.

“Yes sir!” Liam and I said in sync. We gave Harry the salute sign and split up.

I wandered down the hall searching for Louis, even though I knew he was under the table. I got down on my hands and lifted the table cloth.

“Gotcha!” I screamed. I peered under the table but Louis wasn’t there. Suddenly, I felt something pressed to my back.

“Hands up.” the familiar voice commanded. I turned around and saw Louis and Zayn pointing their nerf guns at me.

“He said hands up blondie.” Louis shouted.

“Alright. Geez!” I screamed putting my hands up. Zayn held his nerf gun up to my back and Louis guided me into the lounge down the hall. We walked in and I saw Niall plopped on the couch.

“Nice! We’ve got a hostage!” he laughed.

Louis playfully pushed me forward and made me sit on the couch. The 3 of them huddled into a circle and I looked behind me to see Liam and Harry outside the door. My eyes grew big and motioned for them to leave. Right as Louis turned around, Liam and Harry ran down the hall.

“Alright. We’ve got one, now we need to get the other two.” Niall stated.

“Well who’s going to watch this one?” Louis asked.

“Well.” I replied.

“Zayn can do it.” Niall suggested.

“You do realize how stupid that sounds right? They know each other’s weaknesses.”

“Don’t worry Lou. I won’t let her try anything.”

“Uh hello, I’m still here. I’m not just a her.”

“Shut up! You’re the enemy!” Louis screamed.

I brought my knees to my chest and burst out laughing.

Louis and Niall left and I was left with my holder, my super hot boyfriend.

I got up and started walking around the room, with Zayn’s eyes on me the entire time.

He got up and walked closer to me, peering at me with a smirk on his face. When he reached me, I grabbed him by his shoulders and forced him against the wall. He let out a light chuckle.

“I like when you’re rough with me. Its a new side to you.”

“Don’t get used to it Malik.” I said. His eyes locked on mine and he grabbed the pendent that was resting on my chest and put it between his teeth, pulling me closer. Knowing his weak spot, I made him tilt his neck to the side, and I left soft, wet kisses up and down his neck. He put his hands on my waist and let out small moan. Still kissing his neck, I ran my hands through his hair, tangling my fingers in it. I pulled away slightly and he crashed his lips on mine, releasing his grip on my hips. I watched as his eyes shut, waiting for my touch. I lightly pecked his lips and took off running.

“Hey!” he yelled from behind me.

“Sucks to suck Zayn!” I yelled back.

I could hear his footsteps chasing after me.

Zayn’s P.O.V.

I watched as Louis and Niall took off and left me alone with my beautiful girlfriend, who is now my hostage. I watched as she made her way from the couch to the middle of the room. She turned around, and gave me that beautiful, toothy smile of hers. I walked towards her and she roughly grasped my shoulders and forcefully pushed me against the wall. I had never seen this rough side of her and it made me chuckle.

“I like when you’re rough with me. Its a new side to you.” I whispered in her ear.

“Don’t get use to it Malik.” she growled. My eyes focused on the pendent on her chest and I picked it up and put it between my teeth. She pushed my head so that my neck was visible and she ran her soft lips up and down my neck. I rested my hands on her waist and moaned into her neck. She started pulling away, but I brought her back by forcing my lips on to hers. My eyes closed as I waited for her lips to be back on mine. She left a small peck on my lips and I opened my eyes to see her running away.

“Hey!” I screamed running after her.

“Sucks to suck Zayn!” she yelled down the hall. I was almost certain that my long legs could out run her short ones but she was quick. I almost had her in my grip when Liam and Harry suddenly jumped out from around the corner.

"Lola duck!" they screamed. Still running, I watched as Lola dove to the ground and Liam and Harry shot me multiple times in the chest with their nerf guns. I dramatically fell to the ground and grasped my heart.

“Victory!” Liam screamed and picked Lola up off the ground. She wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. Harry then ran towards them and Liam put Lola on the ground and she jumped on Harry’s back, wrapping her legs around his waist and he was holding on to her thighs. Niall and Louis slowly emerged from a side room with their hands tied behind their backs.

“I see you lads went all out when keeping them hostage.” I chuckled.

“This is a very serious game mate.” Liam said.

“Ya. Good job by the way, Lola.” Harry laughed.

“Why thank you.” she giggled.

“Alright alright. Put my girlfriend down before you drop her Styles.” I commanded.

Lola laughed as she jumped off his back. She walked towards me and leaned into kiss my lips but I turned my head making her lips kiss my cheek.

“Zayn come on.” she said.

“You tricked me.” I pouted.

She walked closer to me “If it makes you feel better, I’ll be more rough with you.” she said while biting my ear lobe. I let out a soft moan and her touch left shivers on my body.

“Okay I forgive you.” I smiled.

She threw her arms around me and ran her fingers through my hair.

Couple Hours Later......

Lola’s P.O.V

“So you like watching the lads perform from back stage?” asked a voice from behind. I turned to see Paul smiling at me.

“Ya its awesome. I feel so cool.” I giggled.

“Now this next song is dedicated to a very special person.” Harry started.

“This girl is very important to us, but mainly Zayn.”

“As some of you may know or don’t know Zayn is in fact taken and he is dating the beautiful Lola Evans.” Liam added.

“We wanted to sing this as our last song.” Niall added.

“We finally decided to come officially public, but I would like to dedicate Back For You for my girlfriend Lola. So Lola this is for you.” he smiled and turned to me. The sparkle in his eye sent a shiver down my spine.

The tune of Back For You started and Liam was the first to sing :

“We specifically wanted to sing Back For You as our last song because of Lola. We chose this song because we wanted to let you know we our finishing the last part of our tour in the UK and were leaving tomorrow night and we wanted to make sure, especially Zayn wanted to make sure, that Lola knows we will be coming back for her.” Liam finished.

My heart literally broke into a million pieces. The boys are leaving tomorrow night and didn’t even tell me? They all turned to look at me and I think they saw the hurt in my eyes.

“Thank you everyone and goodnight!” they all said into the mic. I watched as the boys came running backstage.

“Lola!” they all said walking towards me. My first instinct was to run. I couldn’t stand to see them right now. My house isn’t too far from here anyways. I gave them one look and took off running.

“Lola!” I heard Zayn scream. I turned around for a split second and paused and I hope he saw the hurt in my eyes. I then kept running, pushing my legs harder and faster. I didn’t know if he was even behind me or not but I pushed the door in front of me and ran outside. Fans were screaming and they were everywhere. They all screamed for me but I just kept running. I changed my mind about going home. I know thats the first place Zayn is going to look so I decided on the pier. I always go there to clear my mind. I can’t even count how many times my phone rang and vibrated. I couldn’t stop running, no matter how hard I tried, I just kept going.
