Chapter 13: Evil Awaits (last chapter)

Bunga was then awake, and he noticed all his friends surrounding him, when he awoke.

"Guys?" Said Bunga slowly opening his eyes.

"Oh Bunga you're okay!" Said Kion as he went in to hug him. The rest of his friends joined in the hug all relived that Bunga was okay.

"Wait, what happened? am I dreaming?" Asked Bunga.

"No... you're awake." Said Kion.

"Huh? what is this place?"

"Umm, Bunga this is Rafiki's tree! how do you not know?" Said Fuli tilting her head in confusion.

"Wait, who are you guys again?" Said Bunga confused.

"Wait, what? you don't know who we are?" Said Fuli surprised.

"I, I don't know.." Said Bunga.

"I'm sorry young ones since Bunga's fall, he's been a little lost of memory but it's not permanent! Just talk to him about all the memories you had with him, and he should remember you all again." Said Rafiki.

"Okay Rafiki." Said Kion.

"Bunga, remember that time when me, you, and Fuli were playing around and Zazu tried to keep up with us! and we just wanted to explore haha that was funny, all we wanted to do was go on an adventure.

"Kion! didn't your father tell you to stay  put?" Said Zazu keeping up with them.

"Aw cmon Zazu! me and Bunga we're going on a adventure!" Said Kion.

Fuli then rushed by.

"Fuli you must learn to slow down!" Said Zazu.

"Slow down, got it! HUWEZI!" Said Fuli as she rushed by again. (Btw Baby Fuli is so adorable😍😍)

"That's not slowing down Fuli!" Said Zazu annoyed, as he went searching for her.

Kion and Bunga then ran off sneakily. (Baby Kion and Bunga SOO cute😍)

They both ran off to their adventure but Kion saw crocodiles, he scaredly lowered himself in the tall grass.

But Bunga, being the brave badger he is stood up to the crocs and wasn't afraid of them.

Zazu had to go and save them by hopping in Makuu's mouth.

The crocs let the three of them pass by, but just once.

"So, that's how he saved us, and haha Fuli kept getting lost." Said Kion laughing.

"Ha, yeah I know." Said Fuli.

"Yeah!! I remember that!" Said Bunga slowly remembering the memories.

"So you remember us now?" Asked Kion.

"YEAH of course I do! you guys are my best friends!" Said Bunga grinning and hugging them.

"We'll always be your best friends Bunga, no matter what." Said Kion. They all laughed happily.

1 week later.............................

The Guard were casually sitting in the lair, resting before their daily patrol as always.

"Hey has anyone seen Bunga around?" Asked Kion glancing around noticing no sign of him.

"Well, I saw him this morning but I don't know where he went." Said Ono.

"Oh let me guess, he's probably hanging out with that golden zebra oh what's her name again.. Dhahabu?" Said Fuli sarcastically.

"Dhahabu? why would Bunga be hanging out with her?" Asked Kion confused.

"Uh, hello? Kion? did you not notice the way he acted when he first met her?" Said Fuli annoyed.

"Yeah.. I guess he really likes her." Said Kion.

"No kidding!" Said Fuli scoffing.

"Well, I mean she is really pretty." Said Beshte.

"So, you're telling me you have a crush on that zebra too?" Questioned Fuli raising an eyebrow.

"Uh... well... I mean..." Said Beshte not knowing how to finish his sentence.

"Seriously!" Said Fuli.

"Oh cmon Fuli, he was just saying the truth, I mean she is pretty... but not as pretty as you of course!" Said Kion, recapping his words.

"What!? do you guys hear yourselves right now!? you're falling in love with a zebra!" Said Fuli rolling her eyes.

"Well, I mean he does have a point! she's nothing like I've ever seen, and I've seen every Zebra in the pridelands ." Said Ono.

"UGH you know what? this is ridiculous! I'm going on a hunt, bye guys!" Said Fuli rushing out of the lair.

"Wait! Fuli!" Kion called.

"Ugh, what is it Kion? are you gonna talk to me about that zebra again, because I don't wanna hear it!" Said Fuli glaring.

"No, I actually was gonna ask you if you could search for Bunga while you're out hunting I'm worried about him.." Said Kion.

"Well, of course I can do that." Said Fuli grinning, before giving him a lick on the cheek.

"Haha, thanks love." Said Kion blushing.

Fuli then rushed out and went on her hunt.

"Hmm, I wonder what I'm going to hunt today.." Thought Fuli.

She hid herself in the tall grass concealing herself.

She waited, and waited, and waited, but no animal appeared.

"Ugh, forget this! I'm just gonna go find Bunga!" Said Fuli annoyingly walking down the slope.

Suddenly, a massive mudslide roared down the slope taking Fuli by surprise. Fuli tried to run, but she got her legs caught in the mud and she wasn't able to get out.

"Great! just great! first there's no food, and now I'm stuck in a mudslide, ugh!! can't this day get any worse?" Said Fuli helplessly, struggling to get out of the mud.

Back at the lair, Kion was pacing back and forth worrying about what could happen if Fuli is alone.

What if Janja comes? What if she gets hurt? What if she gets lost? over and over Kion thought. He then decided it would be best to have Ono take a look and see if she's okay.

"Ono! go fly out and see if Fuli's okay!" Demanded Kion.

"Afformative!" Said Ono.

He flew in the sky and saw Fuli stuck in the mudslide.

"Hapana! Fuli! are you okay?" Said Ono, glancing down at her.

"Uh... a little help here!?" She said struggling.

"Right! don't worry! I'll get Kion!" Said Ono. He then flew back to the lair.

"So, is she okay Ono?" Asked Kion.

"Uh, not really she's stuck in a mudslide!" Said Ono.

"A mudslide!? Hevi Kabisa! Lion Guard, til the pride lands end, lion Guard defend!" They all shouted following Kion.

"Fuli! don't worry! we're coming!" Said Kion as he ran down the slope.

Fuli was sinking into the mud, fast.

"Fuli, can you try to get out?" Asked Kion.

"I can't! I've tried, but it's not working!" Said Fuli.

"Hmm.. there has to be something that's keeping you from escaping.. aha! that log!" Said Kion noticing the log on top of Fuli's back legs, keeping her from moving.

"Beshte! move that log!" Demanded Kion.

"You got it Kion! Twendekeboko!" Exclaimed Beshte as he used his strength to lift the log off of Fuli.

Fuli then got up and escaped from the mud.

"Thanks guys!" Said Fuli grinning at her friends.

"No problem Fuli!" Said Beshte gleefully.

"So, Fuli, how did you get caught in a mudslide anyway?" Asked Kion.

"Well, I was trying to hunt but there were no animals to hunt! So, I just went to go find Bunga but when I got down from the slope all of the sudden this big mudslide comes out of nowhere, and traps me!" Said Fuli.

"Well, I'm just glad you're okay now." Said Kion, nuzzling her.

"Okay, you guys can be lovey dovey a different time but right now we need to find Bunga!" Said Ono glaring at the two of them.

"Ha, you're right Ono, Lion Guard, let's go!" Said Kion.

"Ugh, do you see him yet Ono? we've been walking for hours!" Said Fuli dragging slowly along.

"No, still no sign- wait guys I think I see him!" Said Ono.

"Finally!" Said Fuli relieved.

"Great! lead the way Ono!" Said Kion.

They then stopped to approach Bunga, who was telling jokes to the Zebra.

"So the baboon asked me if I had a banana, and you know what I said? you are the banana!" Said Bunga laughing.

"Hahahahaha!! that's so funny!" Said Dhahabu laughing hysterically at his idiotic jokes.

"Ugh.. really!?" Said Fuli annoyed.

"Well, at least we know where he is now.." Said Kion.

"Bunga! what are you doing?" Said Kion walking up to them.

"Oh heya Kion! I'm just hanging out with Dhahabu! aren't my jokes hilarious?" Said Bunga munching on grubs.

"Uh yeah... anyways, sorry to interrupt you Bunga but we kinda need you for patrol..." Said Kion shyly.

"Oh patrol? pfft! Kion, there's no hyenas around! We're fine!" Said Bunga.

"Bunga! we still need to stay alert at all times there could be danger lurking down every corner!" Said Kion glaring at Bunga.

"Oh cmon Kion, relax!" Said Bunga chuckling at him.

"Bunga! this is not-"

"Kion! Kion!" Said Zazu flying to him quickly.

"Zazu? what's wrong?" Asked Kion.

"Kion! it's, it's your mother! she's, been attacked!" Said Zazu.

"What!??" Said Kion surprised.

"You mean, the queen has been attacked? by who?" Asked Fuli.

"I don't know, she says it was some hyena but Kion come on!" Said Zazu flying away.

"Hevi Kabisa... it was probably Janja! I swear I'll-

"Kion, you can do that later we have to see if your mom is okay." Said Fuli seriously.

"You're right, Lion Guard let's go!" Shouted Kion as he ran to pride rock.

His mother, Nala was in the cave on pride rock, laying down, while Rafiki was trying to heal her. She had a scratch on the right side of her face, and her eye was bruised.

"Mom! Mom! we came as soon as we could are you okay!?" Said Kion worriedly.

"Kion... I'm okay.. Rafiki's doing everything to heal me." Said Nala, as she turned to look at her son.

"Mom, I want you to tell me, who did this to you!?" Said Kion loudly.

"Kion..." Said Nala unsure of what to say.

"Mom please tell me, I swear once I find out they're gonna pay!" Said Kion angered.

"It was Janja.. I tried to fight him.. but there were too many of his hyenas... and I got taken down, and you weren't around to save me..." Said Nala sadly.

"UGH, Janja I knew it!! I'm so sorry mom, I should've been there for you.. this is all my fault..." Said Kion, looking down at the ground in guilt.

"Kion, don't ever blame yourself for this, you didn't know and I understand." Said Nala stroking the tuft of mane on his head with her paw.

"Thanks mom, I'm gonna make this right I promise!" Said Kion confidently.

"Uh your majesty, Zazu said, Simba would like to see you." Said Zazu to Nala.

"Of course, Kion go, and whatever you do, don't back down I know you can do this sweetie." Said Nala licking his cheek.

"I will mom, don't worry!" Said Kion giving her an assuring grin.

"Lion Guard, cmon!" Said Kion as he lead the way, with everyone following him, and Ono flying ahead, and Fuli keeping pace with him.

They then all arrived in the outlands this time Kion was leading them.

Janja then came across them, snarling at Kion.

"Well if isn't Kion, the little lion cub! what do you think you're doing on MY turf?" Said Janja glaring.

"Why does it matter? you hyenas seem to cross our territory ALL the time." Said Kion growling, not seeming to care he was in their territory, considering Janja had attacked his mom.

"Well, you and your little friends should've learned by now that we don't accept pridelanders  into OUR territory, so I'd suggest you'd leave NOW before someone gets hurt." Said Janja.

"I'M NOT HERE TO PLAY GAMES JANJA, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!" Said Kion viciously.

"HUH? OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT!! HAHAHA your mom is even more pathetic than you!" Said Janja laughing.

"YOU HURT MY MOM JANJA, AND NOW YOU'RE GONNA REGRET IT!" Snarled Kion.

"OH YEAH? what are you gonna do about it huh!? are you gonna use the roar on me? like you always do??" Said Janja walking circles around the lion cub.

"OH NOT JUST THAT!" Said Kion angrily, before Janja could reply back, Kion flung into the air and scraped Janja with his claws.

Janja flew in the air, and hit the ground hard. He got up snarling at Kion.

Kion gave him the death stare, pure fury showed in his eyes.

He growled at Kion's reflex and tackled him.

Kion got back up, and tackled Janja.

"IF YOU EVER LAY A PAW ON MY MOM AGAIN, NEXT TIME YOU'LL BE  SORRY." Said Kion, looking down at him growling, his razor sharp teeth showing.

"Okay! Okay! that's enough!" Said Janja, scared.

"Looks to me, we're back in the pridelands JANJA, so we're not in your turf anymore!" Said Kion, Janja glared.

"YEAH WHATEVER!" Said Janja, as he fled back to the outlands.

"Kion, are you okay?" Asked Fuli walking up to him worrying.

"Yeah... I'm fine don't worry Fuli." Said Kion, nuzzling her.

"Well.. at least you did what's right! you stood up for your mom!" Said Beshte grinning.

"Yeah, I did and I'm glad I did, but I don't think that's gonna stop Janja from attacking anymore.." Said Kion doubtfully.

"Well, at least you still stood your ground, you served him in his place." Said Fuli smirking.

"Yeah, I guess so." Said Kion smirking back.

"Well, guys let's go back to the lair." Said Kion leading them.

"But what about your mom Kion? aren't you gonna go see her?" Asked Bunga.

"I know Bunga, but my mom had just been attacked, I think she needs to rest." Said Kion.

"Oh, okay." Said Bunga.

"Well everyone I'm heading to sleep early tonight, goodnight guys." Said Fuli grinning at all of them before heading to her rock to sleep for the night.

"Wait, Fuli, don't you wanna sleep with me?" Asked Kion, smirking.

"Haha, yeah of course Kion." Giggled Fuli.

They both layed on the rock together cuddling next to each other.

"Well, I mean if Kion and Fuli are going to sleep, then we should too." Said Beshte settling down.

Everyone was then asleep, Kion was twitching and he was dreaming about terrible evil.

He had a dream that he was walking through a fire that was set in the pridelands, he saw a strange figure in the distance something he's never seen before it was like a vision of the lions of the past like Mufasa was but instead this looked very much evil.

"What in the pride lands!?" Kion said confused of the sight he was seeing, something he never thought he would see. And it looked like Janja, the hyena he once fought earlier, was looking at the face that was formed in the fire too.

Mufasa only appeared in the clouds, but this Lion appeared in fire.

Kion was so confused, he didn't know who the Lion was, or what he saw, the Lion only appeared for a split second, and then disappeared.

He stood there in shock, at what he just saw. Not knowing that the face he just saw, was Scar.

The dream then ended, and Kion awoke almost terrified.

He then walked outside of the lair, he needed to get fresh air, he walked through the dirt with the moonlight, and the stars shining down on him.

He then paced around the dirt, walking, and walking, and walking, he didn't care, he wanted to get out of the place entirely his nightmare had him shook.

He then began to run down the dirt paths, crying thinking about the awful nightmare he just had.

He had run far away now, completely lost from home.

None of his friends knew he was gone, the next morning the Guard awoke and were confused why Kion was not there.

They stepped out the lair, to search for him, but no sign of him.

Bunga then saw Kion's foot prints in the dirt.

"Guys look! Kion's footprints!" Said Bunga pointing to the footprints.

"Hapana!" Said Ono.

"You don't think he just went to Pride Rock to see his mom do you?" Asked Beshte.

"I don't think so Beshte.. the footprints don't stop they keep going on and on and it looks like they're going a long ways from here." Said Ono examining them.

"Oh no! why would Kion runaway?" Said Fuli worriedly.

"I don't know... but we have to let the King and Queen know!" Said Ono.

"I, I hope he's okay...." Said Fuli sadly.

"Don't worry Fuli, we'll find him." Said Beshte comforting her.

"I hope so...." Said Fuli.
